A Nigerian guy has cried out when he saw the list given to his friend who wants to marry a lady from Ubima in Rivers state. Vicky Thompson Owhorji took to his Facebook page to express shock as to why some items made the list. In the list, unbelievable things like mattress, pillows, tins of beverages, loaves of bread, underwear and many more ridiculous items were on the marriage list. Owhorji shared the marriage list with the caption: "I no marry Again!, I said I will NOT marry again!!! In fact I will NOT even think about it. "Adaobi Amadi, Uche Anunobi, Dube Sandra Christiana Amadi-aye Chinyere Juliet Nnoduo George Grace Amarachi Cynthia Leo Cynthia Anthony Nneka Merit Opara Peace George Awiri Nikkybells Wuche Amadi Doris Hope Oby Promise Prisca Briggs Otunba Prince Sam Elekwa Amadi Gift Victor Naomi Nkechi Emmanuel Amarachi M Kalu Francis Chinedu Freeman Akoma Jennifer etc. This is Ubima Community in Ikwerre LGA Marriage List. I can't say if its expensive or not but what caught my attention is Item No:16-One Big Family Foam with 4 pillows and all the things listed below the "Other Items include" List! They would have told me and my friend to open a Provision store for them na instead of giving us this item. "My friend is thinking of opening a Provision store for them with a partnership agreement with Mouka Foam or he will cancel the marriage and go for another girl. Biko see what I am saw." https://gossip.naij.com/1099429-man-cries-marriage-list-friend-see.html

The certificate scandal involving the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District , Dino Melaye, may be far from over , as his name was not found on the Ahmadu Bello University alumni website , SUNDAY PUNCH reports . Melaye’s trouble began on Monday , March 20 , when an online news medium , SaharaReporters , reported that the senator did not graduate from ABU for his first degree . The senator had claimed that he obtained B. A in Geography from the institution . Melaye had boasted that he was currently a student in ABU pursuing his seventh degree , adding, “ Go round all the UNIS (universities ) I attended in digging more . ” A day after the news broke , Melaye, while speaking on the floor of the Senate , also addressed himself as an “ authentic graduate ” of ABU . On Saturday , an exhaustive online search conducted by our correspondents – from the 1998 / 1999 alumni set to 2007 – for Melaye’s name on the website of ABU Alumni Association did not give any result that shows that the embattled lawmaker is a graduate of the school . His name, Daniel Jonah Melaye, as it appeared on a statement of result by the university , when searched , returned with zero result . When SUNDAY PUNCH searched for ‘ Daniel,’ ‘Jonah ’ and ‘Melaye’ separately , different names came up. A search for ‘Melaye’ brought up only one result : Melaye Sunday Ola (Biology Education ) , who graduated in 1980 . Another search for ‘Jonah ’ came up with four different names : Bawa Jonah Seth Besanhi (BSc Geography; graduated in 1973 ); Birga Jonah ( BSc Geography; graduated in 2007 ); Kaigama Jonah Ishaku ( BSc Geography; graduated in 2011 ); and Ndasala Jonah ( BSc Geography; graduate in 1987 ) . There were 10 results when ‘Daniel’ was searched : Abin Daniel John (BSc Geography; graduated in 1978 ); Adamu Kantsan Daniel (Institute Of Education Geography; graduated in 1992 ); Aniro Daniel Rabo ( BSc Geography; no graduation date indicated ); Atenji Daniel E . ( BSc Geography; graduated in 1986 ); Beshiru Daniel ( BSc Geography; graduated in 1980 ); Dada Daniel Adefila ( BSc Geography; graduated in 1979 ); Awubra Daniel Akinkwe ( Geography; graduated in 2002 /2003 ); Daniel Bosede Biddy (BSc Geography graduated in 1983 ); Daniel Dogara Garba ( BSc Geography; graduated in 2010 ); and Daniel Ezra Jatau (BSc Geography; graduated in 2011 ). When our correspondent called the ABU Public Relations Officer , Mr . Adamu Mohammed , about 8 pm on Saturday to find out why the senator’s name was not on the alumni website , his line rang out . On the second trial , the line was switched off . A text message also sent to his mobile line on the matter had yet to be replied to as of press time . When SUNDAY PUNCH contacted the President , ABU Alumni Association , Prof. Ahmed Tijanni- Mora , he said only the university could confirm if Melaye graduated from the institution . He said , “ The registrars of universities are in the best position to provide information about who attended their universities or not . ” Last week , ABU’s spokesman, Mohammed , when contacted by The PUNCH promised that the institution would come out with its position on Wednesday , which it failed to do as of the time of filing this report . Saturday PUNCH ’s March 25 edition had obtained a document which revealed that the senator got a statement of result with the logo of ABU. The statement of result read, “ This is to certify that Daniel Jonah Melaye having completed an approved course of study and passed the prescribed examinations as , under the authority of the Senate been awarded the Bachelor of Arts (Geography) with Third Class honours . ” The statement , issued by the Office of the Registrar , Academic Office, was dated February 3 , 2000 , and signed by B. B. Mshelthlila . It was , however , observed that while the statement of result had the name “ Daniel Jonah MELAYE ” , the senator’s National Youth Service Corps discharge certificate , which was issued on July 8 , 2001 , read “ Melaye Daniel;” his diploma certificate issued by the University of Jos on August 3 , 2006 read “ Daniel Dino Melaye” , and his Senior School Certificate in 1992 read ‘Melaiye Daniel Jonah O ’ with Melaye being wrongly spelt . Similarly , the University of Abuja , which Melaye claimed he had also attended , refused to comment on whether the senator obtained a master ’s degree from the institution . The Vice Chancellor of UNIABUJA , Prof. Michael Adikwu , responding to an inquiry by one of our correspondents on Saturday , said, “ Issues of certificates should be directed to the registry . I heard that ( allegation against Dino Melaye) also, but I will find out later . ” http://punchng.com/dino-melayes-name-missing-from-abu-alumni-website/

awoo47:Read very well and understand before you comment. |
fergieboy:People like you would always believe others are corrupt like you. what if the provost says he never collected bribe before? I know you will never believe him because you believe, act and do corruption. |
ogwoliun:I don laff tire. |
I am sure you are not in this country. you most be residing in USA if not you will know the new rules of admission. First, I graduated from OAU also and everything you just typed here are totally true and fact. However times have changed with the new admission process. Furthermore, that does not mean she can't be granted admission but the two of us know that the lists you are talking about are for those who are connected and not for anyone. from all I see, this lady did not bother to meet with anyone or better say she did not know anyone who can help her walk her way into the lists you speak of. Also be mindful of the fact that medical association gives quotas of number of candidates that can be admitted for medical courses and theses courses are highly competitive with so many brilliant candidates competing for it. This lady must learn how to at least try her luck by discussion with one or two person(s) in the department or faculty to see if they could help her. I tried it and it worked for me. if you go through the provost's comment again, you would find out that she might be willing to help had it been she was approached about the case or if it was brought to her notice. duni04: |
It is a wrong and unethical Idea to give a candidate the course he or she did not apply for. Although Most Nigerian Universities do that but it wrong. The candidate should he the one to ask for a vacant course(s) she would like to be place and such request is at the mercy of the school authority to grant it or not. This lady in particular did not do that and don't forget that with the new admission criteria set by Jamb, gaining admission is not getting easy at all especially for those with less numbers of distinction L's in their "o" level. For medical student, Universities also have quotas given to by medical association. All the same, I wish her best of luck. heybee72: |
sincerely, I commend your level of reasoning. I graduated from oau and I chose oau then because I am from osun state and I stand a better chance of been admitted. Uniben, Nsuka and Unical are a very good schools in Nigeria of today and would have been to her own advantage had it been she applied there. cstr19: |
Omudia11:pls check your calculation again. this time take note of the fact that physics was repeated. |
modath:Nice comments. In economics, demand and supply will determine the price but in reality, other factors affect the price of a commodity. in Nigeria, hoarding is a major factor that is affecting the supply of dollars. Most of these BDC understand that once they can hoard the supply of dollars, that will lead to increase in value for the dollar and drop in the value of naira hence more profit for them since they will sell to the highest bidder. This type of demand and supply is man made as a result of careful and calculated intention to exploit and take advantage of situation. These demand and supply are not actually representing the market but the wish of those hoarding the dollar. |
Hello all, I want to buy a plot of land at Adefarasin just behind the Bells University Ota. I want anybody that have any valid information about that area to brief me. Please help a brother don't let my hard earned money be snatch away from me. Please everyone, I need some info about the area before I commit my funds. Thanks in advance |
Congratulations. The result is not too bad at all. i will advise her to take another WAEC. As almost all commercial courses will require credit in economic. Also most of Art courses will require Credit in Lit in english. Please tell her to be study, pray and be focus. Jesus Christ will surely crown her effort. fweshh: |
Gaskia:My guy, I understand your point and your maturity in contributing. On Madueke, you know we as Nigerians we would complain about everything even when it is obvious that we have the money personally to do that thing. I will never castigate Diezani's child because i have no evidence of how he got his money. But i am in support of putting Diezani on trial if she has any case to answer. But you need to answer my question. If i have my personal money can i spend it the way i want? On murray Bruce, she he flies on first class, we all know he has the money except if we want to be mischievous. I still hold hold on to fact that the Buhari's wife is rich and has children who are also ok. We can't castigate anyone if he or she spend exorbitantly except we can prove that it is public funds. That is my point. Where Buhari daughter is schooling is not the point here. Even before he became president it is public knowledge that he has children schooling abroad. Except if you want to lie. Ese Oruru case was disheartening and i pray God Help her and her family. but does that stop yourself from doing things you want to do? does that stop you from buying a car if you wish to? please let us be objective and not sentimental. We all know that Nigeria is in a mess but we pray God help us. God bless you my brother abundantly. Thanks |
anonimi:This is not the matter of worshipping Buhari or being gullible. If you have any evidence that claim that she was sponsored with tax payers' money please forward and we all will do the needful. Buhari never stop anybody from bording first class but he is against those on official duty boarding first class. If you become a Government official tomorrow, does that mean you can't board first class if you are not on official duty? |
Almajiri1:Yes i remember Buhari saying that. But the wife never said she is broke. So the wife can sponsor the daughter. Don't forget Buhari has grown up children who are well to do in their own quarter and can afford and 1st class ticket for their kid sister. however if we can prove that she was finance with tax payers' money, then we can do the needful but if not, hold your peace. |
adiguns3:If it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt that he used Government money for the flight then i am in support of calling for Buhari's head but if not please hold your peace. I can spend my hard earned money the way i want (especially enjoying myself to the glory of God) |
Evathyst:My dear, i am apolitical but don't blame every comment on APC. who told you that APC made that comment. The person that made that comment may as well be PDP or any other party. If you don't like APC, don't attribute every comment to them. we all know in Nigeria that politicians pay and kill (in some cases) to get to the top be it APC, PDP or Others. |
donvicky2007:People like you need to be thoroughly tutored on how to criticise. even if they said they have defeated BH, common sense should tell you that there is no country that can totally defeat terrorist. At least there will still be some element of it. Except if you want to lie, to some extent BH has been weakened but that does not imply that they can't carry out any attack. Now, tell me any country that has been struggling with a resident terrorist that overcame the terrorist 100%. Please don't mention USA, England etc beacuse they don't have a resident or indigenous terrorist groups. Look at countries like Afganistan, Iraq, Iran, Somalia, CAR, Syria, etc |
maestroferddi:Please, i don't seem to understand you. please intimate me with the bias going on. tell me how the CCT had not been fair. please in your response take cognisance of the criminal justice act and its proceedings. Because for sure had be allowed to object and refer to the case to court of higher jurisdiction even up to supreme court yet he was told to go and answer his case at CCT. Please educate me if there is anything i am missing. Also, nobody not even the CCT had declared him guilty yet they still assume he his innocent hence the trial. Thanks |
What are you insinuating? are you saying he did not commit these crimes? are you saying he should be left alone and not be tried? I pity our future if we continue to reason with our anus. Yes i know this trial is politically motivated, i also know for sure that there are many politicians like saraki that needs to be tried but Saraki only happen to be the scape goat as a result of his selfishness. That said, because the trial is politically motivated does not in any way clear him from the allegations. You must understand that he has not been declared guilty, neither has he been declared by the court innocent but he is only assumed innocent. Also, he has not been denied a lawyer so he has about 80 lawyers in his defence. In a sane society, base on the Panama Papers allegations alone, Saraki ought to have been removed from the position he currently occupies. The questions we should ask are; 1. Did he commit the crimes? 2. Should he be tried for these crimes or not? If you can answer these questions objectively not minding whether the allegations are politically motivated or not, then i will know we are ready to fight corruption. Mind you, i pray that nemesis catch up with the likes of Tinubu, Fashola, Aregbesola, Mimiko, Amaechi, Jonathan and their likes. They are all one and the same. Thanks tempex88: |
solbash11:Please can you send me a mail on how to use Paypal? |
Guyman02:That is not true. The alleged woman willingly resigned herself after she knew that her comment about the dressing of Obama's daughter was bad. She was not sack nor asked to resigned but tendered her resignation willingly. |
Obviously you are been ignorant. If you have actually read the write up, you will know that EFCC and DSS Acted within the purview of the law except if you want to proof otherwise. Where on earth did you get to know that they did not grant him access to his lawyer? If that is even the case, then tell me how is lawyer has been communicating with him? Please let us be plain and open hearted. This man committed a great offence and you are here saying he is been persecuted. How? How i wish your sisters were among the kidnapped Chibok Girls, How i wish your children or brothers were killed by Boko haram, only then i will know if you actually meant what you just typed. These people don't deserve pity. They cornered money meant for us all for their own use alone and you are here saying he is been persecuted. I pity the future of this country with people like you. I know that there are people that a very very corrupt in APC but that does not exonerate Dasuki from his own crimes too. he must answer for them. We Nigerians should all come together and pressurise the Government to prosecute corrupt APC members also. fearNORTH: |
Armaggedon:Well, God bless the OP for his mature comments. Armaggedon, you should grow up and stop bringing in tribal issues in everything, else Nigeria will remain where it is. And we all will continue to fight ourselves. On the issue of "Pastor King" he has committed a crime punishable under the law and he should go for it. You claim that Yorubas use to cover their pastors who commit the same crime. In the first place, these pastors you mentioned have a lot of Igbos in their hierarchy and even branches all over south east. So, i see no reason you call them yoruba pastors or is it because they bear yoruba names. As for TB Joshua's case (which is different from rev King's case) do you know that he is facing trial presently? Or are u not in Nigeria? All cases must be proven beyond reasonable doubt in court of law. For other pastors you mentioned, please tell the whole world any crime they have committed that is punishable by law? if not, then you are just a tribal bigot. |
You just lied. First let me ask you if you attended both institutions. I went to the polytechnic first and before attending the University. I can boldly tell you that gone are those days Polytechnics are known for practicals. When i got to the university, what i was taught was far superior and advanced than what i was taught at Polytechnic. AwonGoonsMee: |
Who told you that HND holders are the engine room of Nigeria. You must just be waking up from dream world. I attended both University and Polytechnic so i know better. University is far far superior in everything than polytechnic. However, we also have quality student in the polytechnic. DankemzI: |
Pidggin:With all the evidences you have seen so far that these people are corrupt, do you still say the fight is against PDP. Yes we all know that APC members too are corrupt but probing must start from past Government who were in power as they were the ones that gave themselves jumbo pay and contracts. Let us wait and see the allegation levied against him. Would you say Olisa Metuh, Sambo and the those arrested are not corrupt? Pls always talk with a clear and non partisan heart. |
Lattop:YOU LACK FIRST CLASS MANNERS. |
Vision4God:Please can you advice on a better pay TV to subscribe to? |
