dessz:A "stitch" in time saves nine. In cases like this, this is what a true leader must do... “If we have learnt anything in the ongoing flooding of some parts of the state, it is that there is an immediate, even urgent need for us to embark upon a review and re-engineering of our canals and drainage systems". The flooding has taught us a lesson, we need to watch the way it came then find a way to channel it into the canals. modified. |

The third mainland land bridge is no longer the longest bridge in Africa. It was the longest bridge in Africa until 1996 when the 6th October Bridge located in Cairo was completed. No Nigerian womam made the top 5 list of the richest women in the world. Liliane Bettencourt is the richest in the world while Folorusho Alakija used to be the richest black woman in the world before Africa's Richest Woman Isabel dos Santos took over The Nri Kingdom in the Awka area was founded in about 900 AD in North Central Igboland. The Nsukka-Awka-Orlu axis is said to be the oldest area of Igbo settlement and therefore, homeland of the Igbo people. This ancient kingdom is still considered the cradle of Igbo culture. The Yoruba were organized in patrilineal groups that occupied village communities and subsisted on agriculture. From about the 8th century adjacent village compounds, called Ilé, coalesced into numerous territorial city-states in which clan loyalties became subordinate to dynastic chieftains. The earliest known of these city states formed at Ilé-Ifẹ̀ and Ijebuland. The latter city was fortified by a wall and ditch known today as Sungbo's Eredo around 800 AD. Urbanization was accompanied by high levels of artistic achievement, particularly in terracotta and ivory sculpture and in the sophisticated metal casting produced at Ilé-Ifẹ̀. |

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari referring to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a “co-ordinator” and not Acting President, is “insulting and dangerous”. Buhari flew out of the country Sunday night, to undergo further medical check-ups in the UK. But before then, he sent a letter to the Senate notifying the upper chamber of his absence. The Senator representing Abia-North at the National Assembly, Mao Ohuabunwa, on Tuesday, said the transfer of power from Buhari to Yemi Osinbajo was not clear. Ohuabunwa faulted the letter(http://dailypost.ng/2017/05/09/buharis-ill-health-nigerias-president-letter-confirms-stay-away-indefinitely/) as not naming Osinbajo as Acting President and called for it to be disregarded. Fani-Kayode has already weighed in with his opinion via his Twitter page. Source: http://dailypost.ng/2017/05/09/buhari-insulted-osinbajo-leaving-uk-fani-kayode%e2%80%8e/

Onlinebi:Yes dear, i quite agree with u to a limited extent, yes Oduduwa exiled from Bini and settled in Ile-ife but do u also know that the last born of Oduduwa Oranmiyan became the Oba of Benin kingdom and when he was leaving for Ile-Ife he gave the throne to his son who also became the the Oba of benin which means the Yorubas has more influence in bini than the binis in yoruba land. |
