Religion / A Heart Of Gratitude by Urbanoversabi(m): 4:18pm On Apr 02, 2017 |
It's of general knowledge that a grateful heart receives more. A heart of gratitude is something I believe we all should have, no matter the circumstance, economy or finance (even though 80% difficult). Here's a quick view into why I writing this right now, because apparently I'm in church and the Pastor is you know... Preaching! *** It's testimony time, and there is usually a large number of *testifiers* as its the First Sunday (you know naija na). All the women are dressed in native attires with geles tied at almost the same height as they themselves. Even the men are not left out. But as for me? I just kukuma rocked my white shirt, ripped faded denim with my sandal. (actually I don't have a native attire yet). Back to the topic; It's testimony time, and a large number of people were out to give their testimony of how God had been good to them in several ways, some with; brand new cha-cha cars, some with a husband/wife, some with admission in to the university and so on, but a particular guy caught my attention and he's the major inspiration for this post. He stepped forward, went down on his knees, and began to give appreciation for the very little things he had, the very little things most wouldn't count worthy of a testimony. He began pointing out the very little things around the church and also gave appreciation for those that testified. To me this is the much more than selflessness. Now that's a true and genuine heart of gratitude. If you can find extreme joy from little things that we feel doesn't matter, or even be joyous for your fellow human, now I don't mean empty "joy" but genuine Joy, then you possess a true Heart of Gratitude. I've learned something from coming to church today and I hope you learned something too by reading this post. Feel free to leave a comment below, if you did. Let me quickly pocket my phone, this one that the usher is eyeing me like this. lol. Source; http://www.urbanoversabi.com/a-heart-of-gratitude/ Cc; Mynd44 Lalasticlala Obinoscopy Seun Ishilove

Fashion / Check Out This Fashion Campaign Photos by Urbanoversabi(m): 6:35pm On Mar 29, 2017 |
Yes another crystal clear sodomy all in the name of “fashion campaign” . American fashion brand, Eckhaus Latta, is pushing the boundaries in fashion with their latest campaign and also causing some major controversy. The fashion brand owned by NY designers, Zoe Latta and Mike Eckhaus, launched a daring campaign a few days ago to celebrate individuality and also normalize sex through fashion. I mean, that’s like trying to enforce a blind man as a traffic warden…How does it connect WTF!!! However, the rather explicit campaign, which features real-life, as in real-life straight, gay and lesbian couples performing sexual acts on camera (blue film), has the internet buzzing with questions as it has got people talking. The raunchy photos show different sexual acts ranging from hand jobs to actual intercourse blurring the lines between fashion, art and pornography and for this reason, I’d rather point out to where you can view them rather than this, my self-righteous diary/blog. *grins* Personally, this campaign or champagne whatever is a very poor shot at creativity? According to Zoe Latta, co-owner of Eckhaus Latta, "their brand is designed specifically for a ‘liberated audience.’ For a group of people who want to feel like they are not defined by their clothes but simply accepted for who they are. “We want to liberate people from branding or marketing mechanisms that make people feel small. We’d like to offer an alternative – whether that’s in self-image, body image, gender identity or colour.” *** In other words, if you aren’t wearing their clothes and you’re straight, then You are not Liberated yet. Eckhaus Latta’s website has been down for two days now since the campaign launched. Romance / Qualities Nigerian Men Want In A Woman by Urbanoversabi(m): 4:26pm On Mar 23, 2017 |
There’s a chance that you’ve probably asked yourself, the “what do men look for in ladies?” question, which in all way is a good question. Some ladies may be tempted to think they are special and exceptional; but times have changed with what guys on their torches for these days. Gone are the days of having only a sexy body and a big nyansh or having a tomato Jos face. These days it’s now a combination of Beauty and Brains, then the big nyansh is a plus *grins* obviously a sexy body can be attainable these days. There are some specific qualities guys look out for in ladies which makes them chase them upandan. Consider developing some of these qualities and have a lot of Men buzzing around you like a swarm of bees while others sweat to even get a man to notice them talk less of court. Be Financially Buoyant This is one quality that sits on top of all the others. A lot of men, irrespective of their level of wealth or educational qualifications would want an industrious lady for a wife, not someone that will like to just siddon berekete and adding unnecessary weight, without adding to the home’s gdp. Mbanu! Self Discovery Self discovery! This personally is a big one. When a lady knows herself, invariably she is matured to know the difference between reality and trends. That’s another keyword among guys they wouldn’t want their woman pressuring them to do things because her friends are doing it or it’s the new wave, without her weighing the Pros and Cons. Be Humorous While you don’t have to be a serious comedian like Helen Paul or Chi Gurl, a little bit of humour can do you no harm abi? Every man wants a woman that can be so free when around him and one that she can share fun and happy moments with. Take for example Bisola and TTT of BBnaija. A little craziness won’t make heaven come down. Enough of the seriousness, when it’s not UN meeting Be Good At Communicating Good and positive Communication is an important quality guys/men look out for in ladies. Being able to communicate your feelings without feeling ashamed is a plus for you. Most guys now don’t want to be the ones doing the talking alone and you just responding *yea, ok, hun, lol. Ewww, that’s disgusting to the ears. Furthermore, pushing us to be asking common entrance questions of “Have you eaten? What did you eat? Where’s my own?” Be Stylish While you don’t have to be as doll_like as Toke Makinwa or Victoria Kimani, you can cover up for facial beauty with being stylish. Find a style that suites you, and not following every makeup video you see on YouTube and Instagram Over painting and contouring dey make face worwor. You don’t need those Kim Kardashian’s heels to be stylish. Different strokes for different folks, find your style and cast out the spirit of insecurity Be Supportive Men want ladies that will be supportive of their careers, dreams and aspirations. If you listen attentively to men and show understanding, definitely he’ll see you as someone he can spend more time with. Nobody wants a money spender, without knowing how far. Intelligence Men want ladies that are not limited to their field of study and specializations. Being brilliant in your field only will only make men see you as boring. Variety is the spice of life so, versatility is key! In this way, you can talk about everything and anything therefore never a boring moment. That’s all folks, meeeehn! My fingers are burning.
