nomanicole: when u get to the airport, u give them ur visa on arrival approval letter, they then print out the ticket. I think it cost me about 113 or 117. dollars... but it wasn't up to 120 dollars... some pple have actually paid less, like 80 dollars. I think it depends on the period. mine was in December. tnx a lot! |

OnJosh1: Hi urblackpearl, Its me againnnnn I just got a reply saying my case has been updated and the case closed that I should log back into my account to view details.
So I retrieved application using old Application ID, it initially gave an error message tried two more times after which it went through and I viewed the confirmation page but still no passport. Retrieved application with new Application ID and viewed, I can see Passport photo. Please how did you confirm that both applications had been linked? Or your profile updated? Did you have to click "start new application"?
I intend printing and going to the Interview with both old and new Confirmation pages as well as email but will appreciate clarity so I'm not packing unnecessary papers. Thanks again. Hi. u have to log in to your profile I.e where you booked your appointment to check if the new confirmation number with photo is what is linked. |

OnJosh1: Thank you so very much dear. You are a life saver. GOD Bless you.
I apologize for the plenty questions on one issue... but I'm such a novice right now and my interview date is already here ... Please help see if the email reads okay, all the required info contained or if it's too much.
Dear Sir/ Madam,
Sincere apologies for not uploading correctly the first time and appreciate your prompt response and action.
Kind regards OnJosh1 Too much unnecessary info. I sent this. Good day, Trust this finds you well. I write to replace the DS-160 forms completed by my husband and I with new forms. We had submitted the initial forms without a passport photograph and we understand that will no longer be acceptable. Please find attached the confirmation pages for the new forms that we have completed which contain our passport photographs. Kindly update our profiles with the new DS-160 forms. Also attached are the Bio data pages of our international passports. We hope that we will be able to maintain our appointment date (please find confirmation of appointment below). Looking forward to your positive feedback. Sincerely Then they replied requesing this: Applicant's Name (as it appears on the passport): Passport Number: Date of Birth: Email Address: New DS-160 Confirmation Number: We will also need scanned copies of the applicant's passport and the DS-160 confirmation page to assist you further. So u can list all that out in ur first email along with the attachment. |

OnJosh1: Thank you so so so much for your response urblackpearl. If I understand you correctly; after clicking on "Retrieve Application" I can click "start a new application" instead of "view application" and this will enable me fill another form and upload the passport and this will not affect the initial application and Confirmation details?
Please did this affect your interview date? Did you have to reschedule? How long did it take to get a response to your email requesting that the new DS160 form be linked to your profile?
Thank you so much. I really do appreciate your prompt response. Exactly. got response in abt 24hours. it did not affect my interview date. once u get the response. log in to your profile to confirm the new number has been linked |

Hello House.
Arrived L.A. yesterday 11th October via Turkish. Airline service is just there jare. I paid for a lounge to chill for my 7hr+ layover. requested for wheelchair at the Turkish airline care point.
So after landing, got wheeled to a stern looking (so i thought) white haired male CBP. Transcript below:
Cbp: (smiling widely, reaching for my passport) you've been here before? Me: No, first time Cbp: wow, welcome to America. How long are you here for? Me: 3 months Cbp: u gonna be staying at this address the whole time (referring to my declaration form) Me: Yep CBP: u gonna be with family or friends? Me: Family Cbp: oh great. I see you got food. what kinda food do u have. Me: Dried fish, ogbono, ground crayfish/pepper, yam...continues listing Cbp: cuts in....so just all kinds of dried fish right? Me: errrm ....sort of Cbp: (scans my fingers and stamps me in for 6 months) enjoy ur stay! Me: is that all? u didnt ask what im here for. I'm having my baby Cbp: (shrugs and smiles) well that's okay as long as you informed the embassy. Congratulations!
Just like that! spent just abt 2 mins! We applied for B1/B2 and told the VO we were going for childbirth. Hubby will join me later.
So got wheeled to baggage claim. the guy loaded my bags and a cop brought a dog up to me to sniff me and my bags. the dog kept sniffing my bags but did not bark, the cop even had to pull the dog away saying let's go! Alakoba dog, dunno what he was sniffing!
So, got wheeled out to meet my uber. spent max of 10mins at the LAX airport in total. it was a breeze!
I had all d docs in the world plus cash and nothing was asked for.
So grateful to God! |

OnJosh1: Wow. THANK GOD for you. I tap into your testimony.
Please Dear experienced people. I still haven't found a solution to uploading my passport after application has been submitted, payment made and the interview date has been confirmed. A passport was uploaded for me alright but it didn't fit the requirement and so did not display and it was stated on the confirmation form that my passport didn't meet the requirements. Hubby's own however met the requirements so is showing on the confirmation page.
When I log into the application it says the application I'm trying to retrieve has been submitted and so should choose to "view confirmation page" or "start a new application.
Viewing the confirmation page doesn't give any options to upload photo or edit anything.
Please is there anyway I can upload a proper picture now and how? please.
Thank you. This happened to me. fill another form and upload it pic. then send them an email to link the new Ds160 form to your profile. and it will be sorted out |

Now lesson here is that it was rough for another don't mean it will be rough for you. I had it rough the first time but very easy the second time. Just be prepared to pay your bills and have all necessary document handy. Above all, trust in God for nothing is impossible. He makes the funds available and grants us safe trip and passage.
Gracias[/quote]Thanks for giving back! Congrats. |

Hello House.
Just to update u guys. Hubby and I applied via paper route on 5th July. We linked out application to an online account and we've been checking status. Got response today and we were both denied due to the fact that VO wasn't satisfied that we will return, travel history and insufficient funds.
It's not a big deal. We will visit other countries and see our friends that are based in canada some other time.
Wish you guys all the best! |

Wow Sis. Thank God veegurl: In the spirit of giving back! I learnt a lot here. Here goes my POE testimony- I would think that from wat I have been reading here that Houston and Chicago was the worse.i guess my tuts were just speculations! As mine was tough. I entered LAX thru Lufthansa n it was so long n tiring with the food they shared on the plane that I culdnt eat.so was super hungry n fainting. There was no preferencial treatment got on the long queue n finally my turn- Cbp: what r u here for Me: to hv my baby Cbp: why Me: citizenship Cbp: why Me: becos I believe my child will hv a better life with dual citizenship , study n all Cbp: so I want to come n stay here Me: no Cbp: let me see your return ticket Me: showing him Cbp: how will I pay it me- I have cash Cbp: how much do you have ,me- 6k and 4k in my account Cbp: Is nt enuf, Me- my husband will send more if need be Cbp: where is your husband ,Me: Nigeria Cbp: so why don't you give birth dere ( I was silence at this point) he wrote something n asked me to follow him, collected my fone n went to the inner room. There I stay for almost 3hrs before I was called. The officer that called me to interview was a furious one becos he just finished racking someone. 2nd Cbp Cbp: why r you here Me- to hv my baby ( he asked why, I told he the same thing I told the other officer) Cbp: he sed so I want my child to get free education wen I don't pay my tax. Me- if my child wish he could study in nig Cbp: how much do you hv ,me - I told him Cbp: Is smal( He asked again how much my hosp n doc was, I told him, he sed is small) Cbp: wat do ur husband do, I told him Cbp: how much does he make , I told him He asked me to open my fone, he went to where I saved the screenshot from this forum n read everything he went tru all my pictures n text. At this point my heart was beating. I just kept praying( I hv been praying all along)it took him 1hr ,inbtwn he asked abt my doc letter, and whether I informed the embassy.i showed him too. Then he now sed I see u did an extensive research on childbirth( I sed yes sir). He now became calm with me, told the other officer abt me. He ask me wat if I ran into emergency that require moni how will I pay. I told him I won't take Medicaid. He sed I shuldnt bother coming back if i do. Told me to pay all my bills and come with my receipts. I was truthful all thru! And God touched his heart n saw me thru! |

Johnmark247: Isn't it going to be returned unprocessed if i eventually do? Please advise. Yes it will not be processed. u will have to reapply when u return from Philippines. I am almost in ur shoes and have decided myself I would never apply via paper route again. Online is better because I would still have my passport with me. |

Johnmark247: Huh? The 28th of May was a Sunday, so does that mean the vfs accepted applications on that day? That's really inappropriate to the best of my understanding pals!
Secondly, i submitted my int'l passport alongside my application on the 23rd of June but now have got an emergency trip to the Philippines. Please house, i need an advise on what to do since they are pretty short of processing those of my submission date. URGENT! you should write to withdraw your application |

bolajifive: Help help help! I am quite well travelled. Myself and my wife have been to the usa, uk, scotland. We applied for a canadian visa in february 2017, our application was turned down because my wife made a mistake on her application by not declaring that she had been turned down by the usa embassy some years ago. We sought advise and was asked to reapply and state in a letter the error we made in the initial form. This reapplication was done middle May 2017. Till date we have not gotten a response. Is it a general problem of delay in issuing visas. Am thinking of recalling the passport and cancelling the application sef. What do y'all think. Hi. I got an response email from them today. they are on may 12th applications. so try wait a bit more. |
