Not an addict... never was... but from people who I knew were addicts... and some documentaries I've seen..... what you wrote above is the most effective way of stopping an addiction. Most people just don't understand that there is a bigggg difference between a bad habit.... and an addiction. A habit is what you do when it is convenient for you to do.... an addiction is what you must do... by any means necessary... when your body demands it.... so well explained by Urchcoded earlier as in one working a machine in a factory and will leave the machine to go satisfy his addiction. He is an addict. Determination is the solution. If you don't have determination... you will quit for a short time then go right back.
There is this lady...... by farrrr...... she was the worse drug addict I had ever seen... the one I wrote off completely ... didn't see her for a while.... meant one thing... she was dead... I can swear... drug related. Later learned she was alive and well... was told where she lived.... saw her.... with my own two eyes... but yet my brain did not accept. For monthssss..... I kept seeing her... wanting to ask about the turn around.... until one day I did. I told her I used to be seeing her high but no more.... she opened up... used to be on crack... always high... asked how she got off... said one day she just decided she would stop... made up her mind and she did.... never touched drugs since. She is now works for the City as a counselor at a Drug Rehab center. If there is one person I had to write off as impossible to get off drugs... it was her... she was that bad. There is nobody at Rehab that can tell her she doesn't know what they are going through... and can't get out of addiction.
On drugs to get rid of an addiction..... heroine addicts are/were given the drug methadone to get them off heroine. The thing is... they now became addicted to methadone! Well when one is high on methadone... it can be a sick form of entertainment for some people... like me... and serious cause for concern of saving lives for others. Drug Treatment centers give the methadone guys walking sticks.... when on methadone... you will see a guy walking along ... then suddenly he will stop dead in his tracks... as if suddenly hit by severe leg cramps.... doesn't matter where he is... halfway crossing the street or wherever... he will just freeze.... rest.his hands on top the walking stick then he appears to fall asleep... standing right there... and in 30 seconds... as if going into real deep sleep.... so he begins to slowly lose balance and in slow motion ... begin to slump forward as his head and upper body begin to move to ground... head first.... his knees buckling at the same time... as he hits the tipping point and begin to crash to earth... his foot kicks out ... body straightens out and he resumes walking as if nothing ever happened! I love watching these guys and listening to people scream thinking they will fall. I wonder .... is it not better he remain on heroine? Drugs is not the way to go to beat an addiction.... determination I will say.

2.It affects people in different ways. 35% (according to one study) of covid 19 patients are asymptomatic. Most may just have some mild fever, cough and cold. Some have more complicated illnesses...including diarrhea, severe breathing difficultes, and so on. And having coexisting factors llike diabetes, hypertension and obesity as well as being old predisposes you to dying

I would like to know what you mean by covid has no cure for now but we have millions of people that have received one form of treatment or the other and fully recovered and also tested negative. Try and be logical with your response pls or don't reply at all, we are not all fools here.

you made some good points however, a lot of what you wrote is hypocrisy or ignorance. The fact that Jesus didn't join the crusaders means nothing. Christianity spread across the world through crusades= killings, period. Christianity no longer needs crusades now because it is already widespread with a lot of sympathizers. The crusade has served is purpose. Does this in anyway mean Christianity did not spread through crusades? NO. Also you saying atheism is a religion is sheer ignorance. Just like saying bald is a hairstyle. Atheism is simply disbelief and not belief. The dictionary definition of religion is very easy and clear to any person that can understand basic English language and there is nothing to suggest that atheism is a religion by any standard of the definition of religion.
