There is a reason flood vehicles are cheap. THEY CAN BE PROBLEMATIC! Most auctions will not tell you if they are fresh water / salt water flooded. And you wouldn't know extent of the flood except you know the car when it was flooded. If you want to save money, you are better off with a car that has a body damage than a flooded car. Don't waste ur money! |

Eokolo: I guess I know why Nigerians don't like Nissan cars. I bought a Nissan murano and shipped it to nigeria. It probably got there in 2010 or so. No sure of dates but in august 2013. The transmission failed. This is a car that has been know to have transmission problems and this is why they have an extended CVT transmission to 120,000 miles because they know there was a fault in the design of the transmission . Now my vehicle is only about 30,000 miles . I called Nissan and they told me because the car is not in the USA, the warranty is void. But I keep wondering, why is the warranty void. At least you can say, maybe because in Africa the roads are worse, maybe the warranty mileage is less. I think if these companies don't want to give waranties to cars they sell to Africa then they have to stop doing business with us at all. I think it's time African governments stand up to these companies and say if you are not going to warranty cars that you sell to us or are in our countries like other countries , then that's fine , we ll ban your cars from being shipped into our countries. There's a lot of double standard. Not exactly. Manufacturers are only responsible for the market that they sold the car to. Murano was never sold in Nigeria and Nissan should not be responsible for the warranty. Nigeria govt has no control on Nissan to honor the warranty. Can you imagine the Nightmare if a manufacturer has to honor all the warranty on their product REGARDLESS of its point of sale and its location? Does not make sense. I respectfully disagree with you on this |
tmotmo: Please i need your clarification. After paying for the shipping cost, does the USA contact person has to pay before collecting BOL from the shipping company again? And if yes, like how much?Shipping process is simple: When a vehicle is booked for shipping. it will be delivered to the port. It then sail after about 2-4 weeks of arrival at the port (sailing times varies depending on several factors). After it sails, the shipping company will notify the owner of the vehicle (via the booking agent) that vehicle is on board. Shipping company issues a copy of the BOL as a proof of sailing. The owner of the vehicle will the pay for the freight and collect original BOL which will be needed in Nigeria to clear vehicle. Shipping costs varies depending of steamline or agents booking the freight. Regards |

sawyerrola: Mellorix, its really good to play it safe. but just to let you know there are some really good and respected guys here, an example is this US-Auto buy (we usually know him as Kunle-A). and he has been very helpful to me and some others. i am not saying you must do business with him, i am only saying on the list of good guys, he is one of them. Sometimes its good we come out to speak when we have had dealings with the good guys so we separate the good guys from the bad guys. Thanks
