Bioben: If ur assertion is true then there wnt be need to submit statement of account for six months den just print a month submit to d embassy, since u said once u give embassy ur statement u as well give dem permission on your acct. For the record quote me anywhere, wat embassy does is dey only scan d statement to d bank to confirm the statement or woteva instruments is got from the bank.
Its only with a court order that your acct details can be made known to a third party. funny enough I was I the same position as you few years ago ...But trust me ....they can find out even the amount in ur Acct statement as well as checking if it's real .They don't do it for all applications though ...but they find out when they want to .Doesnt matter what you blv ...just know it's not a breach of any contract ...u gave them d permission to.and again ...'Yes ' the embassy can find out how much ur Acct is worth at d point u submitted and at d point they call ..Depending on them . |

abestine: Sorry to hear that, but I don't think taking money from d account will affect the VO's decision because they can only believe the amount specified is in d account is there, they can't assess it.
The only thing they can do is to verify if d account exist. From what gurus here have said concerning statement of account, declosing d actual amount in a bank customer's account to any other person apart from the owner is a bridge of agreement, no bank will do that except under fraudulent investigation by EFCC.
Request for ur gmsc or what is it called and refire, God will grant you favour i really don't like contradicting a statement ,bu ur assertion is wrong .You give the embassy the permission to find out about anything In your account the day u request for ur Acct statement for the purpose of tkn it to the embassy ...So 'YES'....the bank can actually give any detail the embassy require from them when it comes to that particular statement .Be sure to tell ur sponsor to let a reasonable amount remain . |

Ymc007: Thanks for your reply, so which should one apply for? Apply for study permit and if successful a TRV automatically is granted ...That's why most people staying less that 6 months still apply for trv when going for study . |

Ymc007: Guys what's the difference between the study permit and TRV? From my view ,the study permit is for u too be able to study in Canada and work too ,while without d TRV u can't move in and out of Canada . |

sholabadmus: Hi Guys,
I recently got admitted to NAIT to study Diploma in "Digital Media & IT", with option/career path of "Software Application Development". My concern is this, i already have a BSc in Computer Science, isn't this a red flag? I tried applying for Master thou but because i graduated with 2.2 i couldn't get admission into those Uni. i applied to as they required 2.1
-In this case what do you suggest i do? -Look for admission in atleast "Advance Diploma"? -Go all the way to find any Uni. that can offer me admission for masters in Computer Sc. for TRV purpose?
Any word from you would be helpful.
Thanks in advance. you have a better chance if you apply with a post graduate diploma .Find colleges that offer d course u intend to go to or something close .Wish all of us d best . |

The TRV will be on what boss? :visit visa or which? even if u apply for her now ,it will be for visiting visa .If u going to apply for her later after u...u still have to state she will accompany u in ur family info form ..so how do U intend to go about that? |

pweetiesuzie: Good day house, Happy Sunday to you all! Pls i have some enquiries to make.
Fitstly, i currently hold an admission letter to study diploma in Physical Therapist at Norquest college, Edmonton, Alberta, but my uncle in Canada adviced that i should not use the offer letter to apply for TRV because the program is not related to my course of study (Bsc biochemistry) and aso because its a diploma course. So, i am applying for a TRV with admission letter to study Masters in Biochemistry at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Labrador. (Not paying tuition though) After getting the TRV & moving to Canada, is it possible i change schools & province since i already have an offer to study diploma in Physical Therapist at Norquest college, Alberta?
Secondly, i am planning on taking with me my 10months old baby girl. How possible is that considering the fact that i will be staying with my brother-in-law and family & there is enough money in my husband's bank account to prove that He can afford to pay my tuition and living expenses for a year & also our baby's childcare & other expenses(even though our baby will be staying with my brother-in-law's kids & wife while i am in school) Has anyone achieved this in the house & how will i go about it? Pls advice.
Thanks for your prompt & favorable response i tik the masters will be good to apply for your trv with since u have that option,as for taking your baby ,I will advice you do that cause it will be irresponsible to d VO for u to leave ur 10 months old baby for your husband.I have a 2 year old and I applied with her and I have seen so many people successful in doing that .Just state ur hubby has enough fund for the both of you .Having a child is no t a limit to achieving ur potentials and the VO knows that.Dont mention ur uncles wife will take care of her too ,just show funds for the both of u and state ur uncles is in Canada in d questionnaire. All the best to Us .Just pray and leave it be.If it doesn't work out applying with ur daughter at first ,u can always try without her in d next . |

opsyF: thanks for the info. You are suggesting I show funds for the two years? you should show funds for only 1 year in the funds part .Thats what is stated in the cic website .Your sponsors financial competence goes to show d VO that u will be able to meet up the other year . |

lawmerchant: Typical Nigerian-religio mentality. They've told you the truth but you don't want to listen. You prefer to stick to your ignorance. You're better off accepting the truth and trusting God than pervering in ignorance and trusting God. why not allow people have faith in what they will than tikn ur own suggestion supeceeds their decisions ...we are here to encourage one another and it will be nice if we make our suggestions in a polite way and not tend to insult or discredit the belief of anyone . |

The VO was not sure you will com back to Nigeria ...Did you explain the long stay in Malaysia(what kind of visa made u stay that long )...was it a visit visa or a work permit and I stayed there from October to April which is almost 7 months ...did u get a police report from the country .I tik this might also be a concern to be addressed . |

lawmerchant: You're working as a legal practitioner in the "department of corporate/commercial Law and ADR in a law firm" and you want to apply for study permit to undertake PGD in "Business Management-Human resources"? And you see a correlation between the two! I think you stood a much better chance of securing a TRV for a Masters in Corporate and Commercial Law. . Well ,I hope I am replying this correctly .As I always tell people ,because u are a lawyer doesn't really mean you should go for an LLM.The world is a corporate world and Corporate lawyers deal with a wide range of commercial /employment law .Combining your law skills with business is completely up to u.I am not interested for an LLM for now.I work as a corporate lawyer and d HR department is booming and besides my husband is a business Man that needs my input in his business while putting my Law skills and business skills together .It was your choice to go for an LLM and d VO saw ur purpose reasonable enough ...I tik we all have a chance to convince d VO of our passion too(out of the box from Law ) and see how it goes with d grace of God.Without grace ,u won't even still get a visa after putting a perfect application to ur own minds view .Go online and search d relationship between HR and Law and maybe then would u understand .As a lawyer ,I tik u should have been acquainted to such tins .And besides in d first term of study ,there r courses that deals with all essential business skills .A pgd is definitely higher that's an LLB ,so I already submitted my app and I know I will get a positive reply ..it's all abt time and I will get to know.Thx for ur input though ..but for now ,an LLM will do little or Notin for my future plans . |
