You have a point though. I am only looking at how influential he his nationally. Your influence beyond your local base sometimes determines your relevance politically. If PDP are unable to hijack that presidency in 2023, some of these guys might go into oblivion finally. Can you see Fayose now, even in his state, ain't sure he holds a sway anymore. Dogara and Saraki's emergence as the speaker/senate president back then gave me a deep meaning to the yoruba adage that says ''obe gbigbono kon se nkan a sare la''. A very hot stew is not something you hurriedly lick. The effect of your haste /impatience will be a burnt tongue and loosing your taste bud. Politically, those two might never be relevant again in Nigeria if care is not taken. I am not God though and I don't know what tomorrow hold for them but using human permutations, I doubt their relevance anymore.

Informed sources at the on-going stakeholders meeting summoned by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revealed that the APC representatives are opposing any postponement.

Our sources informed that the APC team insisted that any postponement will give unfair advantage to the PDP and a backdoor rigging plan for the PDP.

Gov. Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun says he will remain in the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the senatorial election in 2019 while ensuring the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He, however, said aggrieved party members who defected to the Allied People’s Movement (APM) have his blessings.

Amosun spoke on Monday in Abeokuta at a stakeholders meeting of the APC which was attended by his preferred governorship candidate and the flagbearer of APM, Adekunle Akinlade.

The governor ’s declaration came as 26 aggrieved candidates of the APC loyal to the governor announced their defection to the APM. Amosun said he had tried his best to stop the defection of Akinlade and other aggrieved candidates.

He vowed to use everything within his capacity to ensure the success of Akinlade and other aggrieved members in their new party.

Amosun also said that he would not support the governorship candidate of the APC, Dapo Abiodun.

“When these people came, they told me they are leaving the APC, I said ‘no’ but I couldn’t stop them. In fact, Akinlade has my full support.

” I am not going to stop him, everything I have, I will use to support him, let them try whatever they want to try, we also have our strategies and I am not going to hide behind one finger.

“I remain in APC because that’s what those people want, they want us to leave APC but they are joking.

“ I will stay in APC to ensure that Buhari wins in Ogun State and to let them know that they can’t subvert the will of the state.

“Every day, I will campaign for President Muhammadu Buhari, we will do everything possible to ensure Buhari wins massively in Ogun, but they should not miss it.

“ I, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, will not support anyone they are bringing,” he said.

Amosun, who vowed to resist rigging in the state, also pledged to check violence in the electoral process.

[s]A pro Atiku campaign Support group known as Democratic Solidarity group DSG decided to run a mock poll on their Facebook page between Atiku their candidate and Buhari.

The poll was created on the 12th of November and as at today they are being panel beaten by Buhari and a tsunami of votes for him.

So far it is Atiku 23% and Buhari 77% with over 14,500 votes cast.

Its clear that the supporters of Buhari have their eyes focused on the prize so do not like making a lot of social media noise. While the supporters of Atiku are revelling in the noise they are making which seems to hold no substance.

My party is obviously getting things wrong as the elections draw closer and fast loosing the love of the masses.

The shouts of Atikulate which was once everywhere has since died down and the euphoria almost non existent.
