TUDEXautoCARE: Your oxygen sensor 1 bank 1 can easily be accessed on this 1Mz engine if u are able to Climb on a Pit used for Alignment. The sensor is the one at the back of the Engine when standing in front of the vehicle/ Engine. yes I know, but for a diy most times u do it in your comfort zone so from top is a better option |

Removed oxygen sensor, new and old side by side, used my multimeter to confirm that the fault was in the sensor wire, and not on the car wire harness point.

Locate the point where the sensor is connected to the wire harness, and carefully disconnect the oxygen sensor.
Then spray penetrating oil for easy removal of the sensor, allow to soak in for maybe 5min
Unscrew the oxygen sensor using 22mm spanner, don't use the star end of the spanner

I forgot to add that the reservoir is also dry. even if i put coolant in the reservoir, it dries up too.
I am going to change the cap but I might also think this might be more serious. What kinda liquid are u using as coolant? Ordinary water maybe or coolant liquid/ditilled water? |
