the environment had been worse than this and they stayed and made profits. they have the capital base and support to make ptofit even in the most dispicable business environment. an example is that they only had to stop production and finally pull out of the terreble economy of Venezuela because of lack of sugar in the country talk less of nigeria
Of course, they are capable of thriving in our unfavorable environment, but just because they have the might doesn't mean we shouldn't called the govt out for their ineffective actions and inactions. Not every company is capable of keeping its head above water in times like this. Coca-Cola turning their production plants to mere distribution outlets is a very sad one. It means more jobs cut. Not so cool, that's all.

EvilMetahuman:
Sensational dumb headline by stupid bloggers to make wailers wail even more. Because they only read headline or read but don't comprehend.

If coca cola decides to expand its operation in kenya, how does that affect nigeria exactly?

You mean coca cola should not expand its operation anywhere in africa again? Everything should just be nigeria?

Why is south africa or other big economy not crying about coke expanding its operation kenya?

Is coca cola moving out of nigeria or plans to move out of nigeria? Cos I don't get why bloggers like being mischievous, and why nairaland mods decide to indulge these bloggers?
The point is that the environment is no longer conducive to conduct business due wide range of factors which are obvious to everyone to see, even for a leading FMCG company like Coca-Cola. They halted production in their plant in Ilorin already and downsizing systematically in other places.
So imagine the contrast with the increased investment in their Kenyan market. This has nothing to do with poor reportage by a blogger. Our governments have simply failed on many fronts.

You said she has three years to live but you are counting on her living through this and building your home? Kinda confusing.

Anyway, if truly you love her and that's gotta be a on a really deeper level, nothing wrong with putting a ring on it. I can marry a terminally sick person, nothing strange about it. Healthy today but anyone of us may be sick tomorrow.

sinceraconcept:
dude, let's call a spade a spade. are you a virgin? if you are married, were you a virgin before marriage? if yes, cool, you can condemn, but if no,its abnormal. abnormal seems normal in this society, sexual immorality in Nigeria not only among girls buy guys too is something else in this country, most guys I know see sex as being the happening guy thing and we are quick to judge this man. Only in Nigeria will you see a broke nigga chasing pussy around when he's supposed to be chasing money, even for a rich nigga to engage in sex before marriage is abnormal and shouldn't be condoned in our societies,I see a guy that fornicate as the same person as this repairer guy. even guys that Bleep olosho,Bleep girls anyhow, perform anal on girls and even gays would come here insulting this man meanwhile they're birds of the same feather. we all like Dubai,Middle East because they're clean, safe from sexually transmitted diseases and progressing as a nation because of their laws on premarital sex and adultery but in a 3rd world nation like this, tell them to introduce such laws, they will say its 21st century and civilization is blah blah. civilization in a country where a corper can't speak correct English, where there are many educated illiterates, where people don't know their rights, where musicians sing jargons and everybody rush to buy them. are Arabs not civilized to make such laws too? Dubai is the most beautiful city in the world, how more civilized could a country be? but yet they don't get carried away with the immoralities the west is distributing like homosexuality, zoophilia, necrophilia, fornication, etc I see the middle easterns as the most civilized anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if some Nigerian girls have started getting involved in Zoophilia too because they want yo be civilize like whites. if we frown at fornication and adultery strictly in this nation like the arabs, the girl would have known how to dress properly whenever she sees a man or not flow freely, gisting with a man,she would know how to close the door to her room too and not lay down like a nymphomaniac, arabs do it and it's paying them, men can't interact with women freely, but shebi na you wan dey civilized and copy whites, then rape cases wouldn't be far to you . if we had imposed arabian laws, this repairer wouldn't have yielded to the girl's sex offer or if you call it rape,it wouldn't have happened.

Everybody can't be Joseph sir. we all watch western movies,we have watched Troy and saw how the girl seduced Orlando Bloom and he went to have sex with her but we praised him. anything of such shouldn't just be encouraged no matter the race or anything. I wouldn't do the same thing the man did if I was in his shoes but how many Nigerians including those that are making comments dissing him,how many of them knows the right from wrong? as young and inexperienced as I am,I see sex as something that could destroy anybody within few minutes but many people see it as normal and see people like us as old fashioned, some think I'm not social. If I encourage Saudi law on fornication, sex, dress code, etc that led to them being the least HIV prevalent country in the world with 0.01%,people would say that sex is not the only way to contract HIV. But we don't have to crucify this guy because more than 90% of guys insulting him here would do the same and feel like Superman if they were in his shoes and get seduced by a girl. Wrong has turned to right in our society and yet most people point fingers but who are those perpetrating the wrong?
Dude calm down and stop spamming with that fictional epistle. You sound smart to a stupid person only.

the parents of the girl only want to push the blame on the guy only. the girl seduced him,his is what most girls do to repairers, artisans, electrician, mechanics, etc that come visiting,I have them as friends. the parents were not around, the girl seduced him,he was panshing and the parents came in,caught them and the girl quickly turned it to rape after enjoying the banana. no sane repairer would rape someone at a home he never visits and just start raping like that when anybody could come in and he's even a thermocool worker that could be traced at any time. this is not rape joor,it's consensual
A rapist is not a sane person.
