biggerboyc:
I'm also in ilorin, getting a teaching job of 40k is not really achievable even people that have been teaching for a very long time are not getting up to that in some private schools. Ilorin is too dry, no job nothing. Its like a pure village. Try going to other states maybe you will have luck.
Facts unless the likes of Roemichs, Thomas Adewunmi, Adesoye College et al. Even level 8 civil servants in the state are getting about 35k so you get the picture.

I stopped being scared of HIV a longtime ago. It doesn't kill. People just need proper orientation and taking their ARVs. With proper management, one can live well up till his 80s.

Education › Re: Forex Crisis: Nigerian Students Abroad Apply To Home Universities by Vado(m): 6:21pm On Jun 18, 2016
Moneyyy:
This is good for the Nigerian economy. Do you guys have any idea the amount of money being sent outside the shores of Nigeria every year in the name of scholing abroad? Such money is better spent in Nigeria and it would help prop up the Nigerian economy.

If we are in support of home-grown manufacturing, I don't see why we should not be in support of home-grown graduates.
But Bubu's daughters are chilling & doing good in UK universities though.

Politics › Re: Fayose Likens Sheriff To A Bride With HIV by Vado(m): 9:55am On Jun 18, 2016
I like Fayose but he is a fool for this statement. Does he even know that this is a wrong shade at stigmatized people living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria? Is he not meant to be a source of encouragement to such people? Can he comfortably attend an event by NACA in the future after this foolishly spewed rubbish? Smh
Sports › Re: Muhammad Ali’s Sex Tapes To Be Sold By His Ex Girlfriend & Babymama by Vado(m): 10:39am On Jun 13, 2016
HaneefahRN:
This is legendary stupidity. They don't want a part of his money and she is willing to sell his sex tape. It is a good thing Ali's wife cut the old ashawo out. When you sow wild seeds, many real and fake bastards will start showing face now
Why are you all about blasting the woman without same castigation extended to Ali as well? How about being objective for a minute & see things from their perspective? Ali was a sexually irresponsible man putting his pole in different holes across the globe. It comes with consequences. The lady and her daughter are humans too and entirely cutting them off wasnt right.
The tape is just an attention seeking stunt and frankly, I can't blame her. Sure the family of the deceased will take her and the daughter more seriously now and probably cut them a deal.

They can't even provide a single proof that she made blasphemous remark about that dead man Mohammed. But coming from an illogical religion that requires a rape victim to provide four male witnesses to affirm her story, this is not surprising.

The last NTA DG Sola Omole was younger, vibrant and he brought about changes in uplifting the station. Buhari needn't sacrifice quality and efficiency for these old cargoes friends of his just because the last DG was appointed by the opposition. Your president isn't smart.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Tony Elumelu Meets Placard-Carrying Jobless Lady by Vado(m): 1:39pm On May 24, 2016
Quakertellicus1:
Problem is not lack of job....but too many people wanting white collar job....and too many people getting little or no career advice when they were in secondary school.
Good point. Especially on lack of career advice while in Sec school. Most of us were just troubleshooting through it all without sound guidance. Nigerian tertiary institutions also have a lot of course disciplines unnecessarily taking up space.
Look at under Humanities for instance. Aside English, Linguistics, & maybe International Relations, which other course has that appeal or even worth the stress in there? Law, Mass Comm have their separate faculties in most Universities now and everybody cannot be a lawyer or journalist. Our tertiary institutions must expand and find a way of injecting newer courses in their systems that are in line with the dreams of their potential students and in appreciable demand globally now.
