Laggafin: You have absolutely no clue what wielding power can do and how much gain you can make using power to your advantage. The gains Buhari have gotten for Fulani interest and expansionism is about 50years. In our institutions, displacement of natives and land acquisition, international diplomacy to mention a few. |
Politics / Re: Premier Of The Western Region, Deputy, Governor Were Christians by Vado(m): 1:55pm On Jun 12, 2022 |
Biodun556: Ohh please, Ooni of Ife wasn’t an elected official. It’s a monarchy which hasn’t been watered down this much like what we have today. Monarchs were highly involved in colonial governance & administration in those days. The only reasons Muslim representation was scanty in those days was because while the Christians were going to schools, embracing western education, majority of the Muslims in Yorubaland were only concerning themselves with Ile Kewus. Chief Obafemi Awolowo & Herbert Maucauly were one of the earliest schooled Yorubas involved in the initialization of our pre & post-colonial politics. It had nothing to do with Christianity preferences. They were just the qualified ones. You can’t mention 2-3 influential and highly exposed Muslims in Yorubaland at that timeframe. Agunyi or Gowon weren’t elected just as Buhari and Idiagbon (both Muslims) also weren’t. Dude stop being irrationally myopic. You sound smart only to a stupid person. 2 Likes |

post=113719798: Nigga please. You talk as if guns weren’t once licensed for people here? In fact, Nigeria was far more peaceful when there was license for guns until Buhari canceled that a couple of years ago and instructed everyone to submit the ones in their possession to the police. |

DesignMaestro: I ask again, was First Baptist at Surulere stoned with many injured & properties destroyed by Islamic fanatics or not? Did the miscreants stone C&S college at Sabo Oke or not? Let's take it further back. Did Muslims not interrupt Reinhard Bonnke's crusade in 2004 which forced the program scheduled for a week to be shutdown after two days? Was this not experienced when K.A. Paul visited as well? Let me not even open other chapters but don't paint a wrapped picture of what Ilorin isn't here. 1 Like |

seborrhic: Both you and the other dude below you didn't sound smart at all. So you think the first person to make contact with the deceased in that position was the said receptionist? So a corpse can wrap itself so well in position in a duvet with only head shown that you'd think it was napping? Let's even put that aside. Can you also tell us why the deceased records on checking in like payment was not invoiced via the normal channel but a transfer to a non-company's account was made? Then the manifest containing his info torn out from the record book? You mean to tell me you do not even as a bloody civilian smell premeditation in these accounts of event? 6 Likes |

Any Nigerian politician telling you he will make Nigeria Eldorado without massive drive into even industrialization across strategic states, education with special interest in STEM system, agro exportation and devolution of power is just fooling himself. |

Lmao madness. The number of muslims in churches nowadays is for all to see. Funny enough we don't threaten anyone with death if they chooses to leave. Remove this in Islam and even una Chief Imams will be on the pulpits the next day. Give your ladies freedom outside Islam to marry and I doubt you'd still have girls left to marry. 7 Likes |
Politics / Re: Christian Girl Escaped Death By Whiskers In Bauchi State Over Alleged Blasphemy by Vado(m): 9:54am On May 22, 2022 |
DMerciful: Dude colonialism was still fully in gear at that point but only that nationalists were springing up. They were influential but still the Brits still decided who gets what and how. Awo was straightforward about his skepticism of the union, the north was indifferent and had no qualms with the inclusion of the clause, Zik whom was the closest to the establishment said no way. These are known facts. It is also a fact that the thought of or talk of secession became a crime with treason as punitive yet you asked why Awo didn't keep being adamant. These episodes trapped Yoruba and Yoruba interests in Zik's One Nigeria. Do you know how much changed within that period till the beginning of the Civil War? Do you even know that Zik and his NCNC crew voted against Yoruba towns of Kwara and Kabba to be rejoined with the West? These events changed the dynamics of Yoruba interests in Nigeria and we moved on. Show me a document to the effect that he agreed with Ojukwu to leave also if Biafra leaves, I'll wait... Even the popular food blockades & currency switch Awo didn't explore until Ojukwu invaded Ore with plans to proceed to Ibadan and Lagos. Stop blaming others for your gaffes. |
Politics / Re: Christian Girl Escaped Death By Whiskers In Bauchi State Over Alleged Blasphemy by Vado(m): 5:36am On May 22, 2022 |
DMerciful: So at this age you still fail to realize that actions of yester-years have on some occasions, eternally damning consequences? The past don’t disappear like that if not Igbos wouldn’t be stuck in post-civil war trauma. It’s funny you made a ridiculous statement like Awo should have kept pushing. I don’t think you have a full grasp of our political situation then. Great Britain chaired the constitution conference in 1954, they simply had the final say. Awo used a day to make a case for the clause’s inclusion, Azikiwe & NCNC spent the next day to rubbish the possibility of this. The Colonialists preferred the submission of Zik and ratified an Article that pronounced secession drive as treasonable. Aftet this, the dynamics of our political realities within the union changed but you are here asking that he should have kept pushing lol. Ridiculous. 1 Like |

DMerciful: You are a dunce bro. You asked if Awo was subservient to Zik then. This was pre 1960 and I gave you a brief breakdown of the situation then. You are now asking if we are still using the independent constitution. You shouldn't have asked a daft question of Awo being subservient before. WTF with the goalpost shifting BS? |

Politics / Re: Christian Girl Escaped Death By Whiskers In Bauchi State Over Alleged Blasphemy by Vado(m): 7:29pm On May 21, 2022 |
DMerciful: Then you are incorrigible. Nigeria pre-independence was subservient to Great Britain but it was a composition of 3 regions. The entity with the final say at that period was The Queen so having a common front or at least 2/3 on issues bordering on the future of these nations was imperative. Awolowo foresaw a problem with this unholy unification and made it known that the constitution of the state should include a secession clause. He was refuted by your forefather Azikiwe (the grandfather of One Nigeria you tag northerners as today) when he made the statement of ‘the indivisibility and perpetuity of the federation’. Awo was called a tribalist and secessionist. Britain affirmed the unity of the state on this basis. Awo and Yoruba licked their wounds and moved on. How can you try to still rationalize this eternally damning miscalculation from your forefathers? Today you come online disturbing the peace of everyone as if you didn’t mess this up right from the onset. |

Religion / Re: That Is Blasphemy - Rev. Yinka Yusuf Faults Buhari For Saying Jesus Is A Prophet by Vado(m): 4:24pm On May 17, 2022 |
OBALOLA55: That is exactly the point of this thread. From your perspective as a Muslim I suppose, he was a prophet right? From ours as Christians, He was God the Son. Now every time you people make him redundant to the status of a prophet, that’s blasphemy to us. But, because Christians aren’t illogical beings, we don’t charge to chop off your heads on that basis. This isn’t complex to understand. What happens if Christians chooses to go the Sokoto fundamentalists way whenever you call Christ that or ridicule the Bible? |

It wasn’t as if he did him a favor, he needed Osibanjo to help him man the Ministry because he had the competence and expertise. It wasn’t Tinubu who paid for he Osibanjo’s tuition, law school fees or built his legal profile for him. He wanted competent hands and the pastor paid his dues so what’s the sin analogy cum betrayal about? 2 Likes |
