Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigeria University Recruitment Process Is A Disgrace by Valentinooo: 7:44am On Aug 01, 2015 |
jabberjawz: Una neva see anything.....shortlisting qualified candidates to attend interview for d vacant role is like writing jamb....when u see d piles of applications......even with d outrageous 35 copies per applicant.........av seen a situation where people dat applied for the role of graduate assistant where asked to go back home on d day of interview.....that there's no vacancy for them......after keeping them waiting from 9Am till 6Pm in d evening........and d most annoying part of it was dat d sch( a federal university) did advertise on d national daily for d role of graduate assistant....along with other roles.......we will neva get it right......not until we weed out these old men (professors)who refuse to adapt to d changing trends.... They don't wanna retire....they don't wanna update their knowledge base & keep up with the trend.......they don't wanna give room for d younger ones to grow.......they forgot that majority of them did their Msc,PHD while on d job.......but they choose to make it difficult for d younger ones by requesting for outrageous qualification & experience.........av got little or no respect for majority of them because they always play d age card........we ain't talking bout age in dis generation.....we talking about efficiency & competence. And these are the same set of people that enjoyed one post graduate scholarship or the other in their time from federal government, now they don't want the younger ones under them to enjoy same. |

Why will i even come to your office in this jet age to submit application letters and CV. This I've noticed among only the universities both private and public. |

Business › Re: If Government Policy Makes N1=$1, What Are The Implication On Our Economy? by Valentinooo: 9:33am On Jul 15, 2015 |
since we Nigerians rely mostly on import, then the cost of buying these goods needed for production will reduce hence the price of goods will also reduce. All these phones we are buying at exorbitant prices does not cost more than $300 over there, imagine a phone being sold at #66,000 will now cost just #300 (using $1 to #220). Just look at everything u think we import cars, phones, laptops, electronics etc. Will become cheap. |
Health › Re: Advice On How To Add Weight! by Valentinooo: 5:23pm On Jul 14, 2015 |
Medunah: Ok, so naturally am a slim person but recently i noticed that i have bin losing weight. I got back from skul last week and my mum was like 'do u eat at all'?? At first i wasnt disturbed but now everyone is complaining about the same thing. I even started taking multivitamins like my mum asked me to but deres still no changes. Its like going from slim to skinny. So anyone who has any idea on how i can add weight should pls share, tnx.
NB: normally, i wouldnt have posted a topic on here but its really bothering me, so pls no silly comments. The truth is that the school stress will not allow you to add weight at all, just face your studies for now and see how you will add much weight when u get married *(from observations so far). I always laugh whenever I see a pics of my sister and her course mates while in final year, flat yansh, skinny legs, arms, neck. Most of them now are even afraid of overweight as they now carry big fronts and back. Me too I'm a skinny guy, but believe adding weight is as a result of rest of mind. Enjoy ur nature for now and forget all these eat this eat that I'm seeing up there. |

Phones › Re: Why Do Touchscreens Respond Only To Fingers? by Valentinooo: 4:51pm On Jul 10, 2015 |
Those ones that respond to only fingers are capacitive touchscreens. They work base on the principle of capacitors, charges and their conductance. And the human body is a good conductor of charge hence it's ability to respond not to only the finger but every fleshy part of the body. other instruments that can conduct charges well will also work. just go to Google and type "touch screen technology" |

Business › Re: Nine Nigerian Banks Make Top 1000 Global Banks List by Valentinooo: 10:45pm On Jun 30, 2015 |
I hate ecobank, the manner at which they deduct your money for unnecessary things is not friendly at all. I decided to stop banking with them so I left #1500 in the account around March last year. They keep deducting the money and now it remains just #32.xx. Even to maintain their atms they still charge customers.
The ones that will never deduct your money unnecessarily among those I've used so far 1. Gt bank 2. First Bank 3. Fidelity bank. |

Phones › Re: How To Flash Lollipop 5.1 On Jiayu S3 by Valentinooo: 4:11pm On Jun 20, 2015 |
dljbd1: Alright. I'm back to drop a few review+observations. So far so good this is by far better than the initial release. When I say far I mean it. Nonetheless, there still some glitches here and there but it can always be corrected with updates as they come.
Now, this lollipop amazingly came with gapp and superuser pre-installed. I mean I was so happy sighting those icons as I scrolled through the apps. You won't understand the stress involved in installing them in the previous release; and we all know an android phone becomes a Nokia 3310 without them.... Lolz... So kudos to the developers for heeding our plea.
Other defaults in the previous release have been corrected, well to the best of my knowledge though. Others can as well find some other faults however major ones observed (like the front camera turning reddish, speakers not working, battery icon issues, etc) have been corrected.
The main concern of mine has always been the compatibility of lollipop 5.1 with xposed apk. The initial release didn't go well as it always bootloop after meticulous replay of the online installation procedures, however it worked with this update. Though it auto rebooted like 3times which I think is abnormal. It worked either way and so far every module I've used have functioned well. Time will tell though but I hope that time doesn't come.....
At times Google play crashes... Rarely though but it does. That shouldn't be a problem for the next update to tackle.
That's my only observations as at this moment. Updates will be posted right here so watch and learn.... #justkidding. But seriously... Learn. Lolz
Installation process remains the same for but the rom and recovery so please others are encouraged to join this flow as we explore the world via.... LOLLIPOP!
THANKS to everyone who has made this possible. how far the battery performance too? Still excellent? |
