Your own is better.
yeah we are enjoying here and the funny aspect is that ECG doesn't bring bill to us regularly, sometimes they stay up to three months before bringing light bill to us.
Nairaland / General / Re: How Is Light In Your Area? by valnino(m): 6:07pm On Mar 10, 2023
We have steady power supply here in my area in Ghana but sometimes they will take it but it doesn't exceed few minutes like 20 minutes before they will restore the light. But sometimes they can switch off the light for some hours if they are carrying out repairs on it . Nigeria should do better. Another thing that amaze me is that I stay inside village oo.

This country jus tire person. I believe that they will extend the deadline.
Nairalander01:
This country needs to be salvaged as soon as possible.

While the banks and some CBN staff are busy exchanging these new notes from old stolen notes from politicians the deadline keeps approaching and the average citizen doesn’t have ready access to this new notes.
Investment / My Experience At The A.T.M Today. by valnino(m): 2:40pm On Jan 21, 2023
I went to one of the Uba branch yesterday to withdraw money through there ATM machine. One of the machine paid me the new bills while another machine paid me the Old bills. I was confused, I thought that CBN gave a directive for them not to dispense old bills again.

I want to update you guys about this case. She later sent my money to me with an apology. I thank everyone who contributed in one way or the other to success of this case.
valnino:
Good evening nairalanders, please I will make this thread brief as possible. I had an ugly experience in the hands of my shop owner sister. I wanted to expand my business last year so I sought for a shop in another town far from where am currently staying, after I got a shop and paid for two years rent. I renovated the shop to my taste.
After one month I officially opened the shop for business but it didn't work out as I planned. I barely makes sales there so after 4 months I vacated the shop with my goods but before I left the shop I told my landlady that I want to sublet the shop to another person to enable me recover some of the money that I spent there and she said that it's okay that I should put it up for rent.
So I put a sign Infront of the shop that shows that it's for rent and I handed the key to my neighbor who does alumaco work beside me to look after the shop for me while am away. I told him that if anyone wants to inspect the shop that he should open it for the person and he said okay. I wanted to travel to Nigeria then for my late Father's funeral so I told him to keep me updated via WhatsApp . This happened around april this year while I was away he told me that people are coming to inspect the shop and someone wants to pay for the shop but the person said that she will pay directly to the shop owner to avoid stories and I said okay no problem meanwhile my landlady sister stays in the same line with us. She was aggrieved that I didn't give her the shop key before I left so she went and collected my shop key from the person that I gave the key and rented the shop out since two months now and she didn't inform the person that I gave my key to keep for me that someone have rented the shop.
When I came back from travel I asked the person that I gave my key about my shop and he told me that my landlady sister collected the key from him and he didn't want to drag it with her so he gave her the key. I was annoyed with him ,
I asked him why will he give my key to someone without informing me and pleaded with me that he didn't want to have problem with my landlady sister that the woman is a troublesome human being. I had to call my landlady to ask her about the shop to know if someone have rented the shop and she said yes that someone have rented the shop and that my money is with her sister that I should go and collect it from her . She expressed shock that her sister have not given me the money since two months that they gave her money to give me. I was enraged I called my landlady sister today and she told me that she have used the money that she didn't know that I will need the money now. She said that she will send the money to me by month end but I said no that I will only give her one week for look for the money. She didn't even tell my neighbor to call me so that I will come and collect my money . Some people are heartless. The money in question is just for one year. She didn't have pity on me I paid for two years and only stayed there for four months and I also used my money to construct shelf in the shop and put ceiling in the shop with other minor expenses but I didn't demand for total refund but she still held on to the one year that her sister gave her to me . This is what we go through in the hands of some unfortunate Ghanaians.
Had it been that am the one that did this to them they will say that Nigerians are fraudsters. It really pained me.

True talk. He shouldn't blame the parents of the girl rather his randy friend should be blamed for not having self control.
culf:

why are you blaming the parents for your friends uncultured, evil did. some of us team small young, teenage girls in our room without thinking anything sexual. Going to his room is never an excuse, For your friend to even see a 14years sexually appealing means he is not normal.

I pray she heal fast and well from this.

Ps: I would also advise that you don't hand her over to some random individual in the name of trying to help her, knowing how sexual predators are rampant in our society today. Judging from the comments, some are already salivating at the thought of having her in their custody.
I have sent a mail to naptip.

Dude,I'm in Ghana, nothing wrong in requesting for his phone number to enable me verify his claim. Why would he see a good reason to post the girls brother's phone contact and declined posting his own? You clam he is not seeking financial help but he claimed his brother could not afford to take the girl back to Nigeria hence the the reason he came online. See how this contradict your claim?
