A 300L student of Niger Delta University by name Ugorji Victor Ikechukwu of the department of Teacher Education, faculty of Education was mob at his residence in Amassoma, Bayelsa State at about 12:53am this morning.
He returned to school on Sunday the 28 day of August 2016 due to the recent call-off of the industrial strike action of the Academic Staff Union of University NDU Chapter that has lasted for 4 months now. He returned to clean his house and prepare for exam.
According to him, he was already sleeping when he heard a huge knock on the door calling his name. When he went outside his door to check who it was, he was shot. Luckily, it was his left arm.
He reported, “my gate was locked and when I step outside my door, the strange persons (they were two) asked me to open the door which I refused knowing that I don’t know them. But they persist and said **so you think say you fit offend people and go free**, so I wanted to run inside immediately to grab my phone when they shot at me. He passed his hands through the pigeon hole and shot me. Luckily, it hit my left arm and I cried out for help. My neighbors came out meeting me in the pool of my blood and rushed me here”
His parents came this morning and took him to Port Harcourt as the police are investigating the matter.

what if they stop broadcasting with powervu ,we must handle this sports 24 and all other powervu's carefully. All those calling them should stop. Because if we loose sports 24 am not sure we can get any channel like that anymore

The Saudi Arabian authorities have arrested three pilgrims from Kwara for alleged possession of substance suspected to be cocaine.
Hajia Fatima Abolore-Jimoh, the Executive Secretary, Kwara Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday from Saudi Arabia).
She said the three pilgrims, who were among the first batch of 505 Pilgrims from Kwara, were arrested in Madinnah by Saudi Arabia security operatives.
The executive secretary, who did not disclose the identities of the three suspects, said they were still in the custody of Saudi Arabian authorities.
Abolore-Jimoh said the Saudi Arabian law would certainly take its course on the three suspected drug traffickers.
She described the arrest as unfortunate and painful in spite of several appeals to them to be good ambassadors of Kwara and Nigeria.
The executive secretary said that other pilgrims from the state were still in Madinnah, hale, healthy and in good spirit in spite of the unfortunate incident.
1,978 pilgrims from the state are performing the 2016 pilgrimage exercise.
