rvp20182: I used to run Mpesa payment system for our companies in 7 africa countries. MTN didn't even have an API. I managed MTN, MPESA, TIGO CASH, AIRTEL, name them...and our payment system received a payment every second. MTN MOMO is like MPESA in 2011 or earlier. Please when it come to Mobile Money - Kenya is the MECCA - By FAR. That is why many companies interested in Africa are setting base in Nairobi. You keep reminding me of how stupid you sound . despite your continuous interest in shifting the goal post , Ghana is still miles ahead of you. No any African country has fully anexed inteperobiility of money transaction just like Ghana as did. you may be first country to start it along Uganda but you aren't successful in it like Ghana. hence the reasons Ghana is term to be the largest growing market for mobile money penetration in Africa. even with many company setting their office in Kenya, it hasn't changed anything. Ghana still received the highest foreign direct investment than your back water country. hence the reason for our lower unemployment ratio to yours |

Just40: I know stupidity was born with you, this only means, you inherited it.
At lest be logical for once in your life.
What i posted was about Ghana and Kenya, how did West Africa and East Africa come in? Except you were finding reasons to shift goal post again.
Yes out of the 130 billion 100 billion is from Ghana alone cause Ghana is the only West African country that fully utilize Mobile money.
Are you now satisfied with your level of stupidity exhibited?
If not for stupidity and dumbness, you would have seen that the report you posted was 2019. I wonder what will be the amount if Nigeria fully utilized mobile money, we will be talking of trillions of cedis here |

rvp20182: The only thing limited here is your thinking capacity. M-pesa will remain the trailblazer and is light years ahead of MOMO. I used MOMO in Uganda - pretty lame. It's like Mpesa 10yrs ago. you can compare your back water country to Uganda, at least both of you started around the same time. with Ghana, the infrastructure supporting interoperability of all money on major platforms works and is miles ahead of Kenya. |

Just40: Im not trolling them
Im just stating facts that their mpesa is baby to mobile money in Ghana which has managed to do 100 billion dollars in transaction over baby mpesa in Kenya. The guy keep echoing Mpesa has gotten award , and how does gotten award in Kenya makes them better than that of Ghana when we do not juxtapose their success. we are talking about entire country telecom system here and not just a single company. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 3:55pm On Mar 20, 2021 |
kevomtaani: You are being trolled, Mpesa has won multiple awards nobody ever mentions Momo in any platform that's why you see the Nigerians are not arguing with you guys. Nigeria momo is under reveiw . the banks and authority there are not willing to let it happen . now MTN has got their first licence, you will see how it work. when Nigeria fully start , any African that are in it will thrilled behind it because Nigeria has a massive population to do the market . The reasons Nigerian are not arguing with it is simply because it is practically not existing in Nigeria. and that is because the authority are yet to fully implement it. so most of them are not aware of it apart from their normal mobile bank transfer |

leQubit: My Ghananina impatient friend try to follow..Take an example of Mpesa..They got what we call pay bill for every bank in Kenya...You enter paybill number an bank account number an money is transferred..now do you follow You keep displaying ignorance. paybill is about settlement of goods and services. when you are able to pay into your own bank account from your mobile wallet. let me know |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 12:41pm On Mar 20, 2021 |
leQubit: This is tiring bro..we started doing ths kind of transaction way back man...Ths is how we operate.. that is not inteperobiility. that option you showed me is only available via paybill option, which means is only for settlement of goods and services and not on one wallet . except you were able to convince us that your telecoms and banks operate interoperability which is not just about paying for services and goods. |

leQubit: have what? transfer money to an from my bank account using my mobile phone ? Transfer money from my mobile to my workers' bank account? ..please guy just stop it... where is the evidence of your lies ...at least this what central bank of Kenya said. ""The benefits of one mobile wallet-to-another interoperability for customers are immediate and substantial. Networked customers will avoid the expense and inconvenience of reloading or withdrawing via network agents. The customer’s mobile wallet is mirrored. Funds are immediately visible upon receipt, regardless of the network. Customers can also withdraw money in their wallets from agents in their network, “said a statement from the Kenyan central bank. rvp20182: You seriously believe there is even one single aspect of mobile money that Ghana;s South Africa's MOMO is ahead of kenya Lol - no existing tech in kenya to transfer money from bank account to phone wallet - are we in 2008 There many ways to transfer money btw your bank and the mobile accounts in kenya; it non issue. rvp20182: Baby stuff. With your large diaspora - why don't you even do basic stuff like Western Union to Momo https://www.westernunion.com/us/en/cash-to-mobile-details.html stop shifting the goal post, the fact is , there is no existing technology in Kenya that support transferring money from bank account to phone wallet and vice versa . you can actually received foreings funds into your phone wallet in Ghana thru world remmit and the rest. what you need to do is to download the mobile money app . from your own central bank The benefits of one mobile wallet-to-another interoperability for customers are immediate and substantial. rvp20182: Ignorance is a bliss. Why not use Google or consult your vodoo expert. You can actually sent money from your phone to anyone in East Africa on any network in Kenya - and of course all the paypals, western union, name it. You are actually been stupid for nothing . . transferring money thru wallet is not the bane of discussion here. but ability to transfer money right from your own phone wallet now to your bank account . proof it to me if it exist in Kenya? |

rvp20182: Pesalink - links every bank account with mobile money - and there are so many virtual mobile money bank accounts - with ability to get loans and all that in kenya.
You're just babies here...trying to walk when you should be crawling. when you are able to transfer money from your safaricom phone wallet to any bank in Kenya, let me know . what you have only exist among major telecom platform not from telecom to banks |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by vaxx: 11:51am On Mar 20, 2021 |
rvp20182: Again what makes you think kenya has not done that. We began it and has done all that. I tell in Kenya most people can operate cashless. I personally rarely have any cash around me in Kenya.
While you're talking accessing banks account - kenyan borrow more than I think 1B dollars daily through their phones. There were at one point about 50 digital lenders.
Whatever you can think about in mobile money spaces - it's been done in kenya! Kenya is the mecca of it. stop acting stupid, the only mobile infrastructure that exist in Kenya is transferring wallet from the same telecommunication company and not from telecommunication to the bank. the one will freely enjoy here in Ghana. borrowing, buying shares and paying for goods and services is normal event here. |

rvp20182: The entire MTN Group process 11,752 MOMO per minute - Kenya Safaricom does I bet 100,000 plus per minute.
And M-pesa rarely fails and is super-fast. MTN Ghana is just miniature of entire interoperability system . they are far bigger umbrella like fidelity, eco bank and the rest. when you guys exceed 100 billions dollars, let me know |

I see you are at 50% formal banking
And you're now about to start agency banking https://www.fsdafrica.org/news/agency-banking-transforming-markets-and-financial-access-a-case-of-fidelity-bank/
Kenya mobile money ecosystem has not peer in the entire globe. Your only problem is simply because you are educated in Kenya. in Ghana, when you have moble money, it is has good as you have bank account cus it does not limit you for any available transaction, either usssd, mobile wallet, QR payment and others . by this standard , nearly all Ghanaians are owing bank account just by having their own phone number . when Kenya adopt such system let me know . Your out model money mobile wallet still operate in silos . |

You see why you keep validating the purpose of that lady making the best choice for schooling in Ghana. when it comes to interoperability payment. we have USSD, mobile wallet and others. in Ghana, USSD still owms the largest payment in mode of transaction. in this case , fidelity bank leads, in mobile wallet , MTN top and then Vodafone. |

Just30: counted by the Bank of Ghana who is in charge of all payment systems at the moment.
You see how foolish you are, monies that pass through MTN mobile Money platform is not for MTN, so MTN cannot made 100 billion dollars. MTN entire Revenue for 2020 was 12 billion dollars or so.
Your Safaricom Mpesa will forever remain behind Ghana mobile money.
Mpesa 40 billion dollars is a far cry from MOMO 100 billion dollars in Ghana. The idiot does not understand the word interoperability. he thought it is only about one institution like MTN. we are talking about the tranction of money among major platform here where MTN happens to be part of them . |
