budaatum:
See how you, sinequanon sent buda to school. Simple maths that everyone learns in primary school, you present it in such a way that buda went back to school to learn. And your educating of buda is not simply the obvious, but also the implications, philosophically, that 2 x 0 = 1 x 0, despite the wuruwuru in the proof that 2 x 1 = 1 x 1 See Zero to the power of zero.

I think that if you were less "I am so much more knowledgeable than everyone else", and were to stop committing the "vaxx fallacy" that states, "I have come to teach you less knowledgeable people so shut up and learn from me vaxx", you would be of greater benefit here. Because, as you can see, even when you might not quite be aware of it, people learn, regardless.
why my moniker?

my i dont really get what you are trying to achieve here. Are you just showing you know all about how the brain functions? No one is arguing that with you. You are making it seem like you are telling us something new and revolutionary. We are not here to learn everything on how the brain works. The mind is not an entity of it's own, it is a product of processes in the brain which is what we call thoughts. One part of the brain cant be enough to produce thoughts. This is why i dont want to be dilly dallying with you. This info is not changing anything here except you are trying to tell use the mind exists outside the brain, then i wld listen to you. For now you are only repeating what we know while trying to prove you know much about the topic which is not a big deal to me
i am not neurologist, so I can't claim i know better.

I am only trying to explain the concept of abstract to you guys when referring to the mind....

If u accept thought processes takes place in the brain then we are on the same page.

U cant accept the mind is an abstract and then say it takes place in the brain again. That's why I said u should get ur story right.
i have explain it to you...

what are you trying to teach me? That thoughts are not a function of the brain?
that thought are electro chemical reaction taking place in the cortex

I have been trying to explain the mind concept to the dude from a psychological perspective only for u to come in and call it an ABSTRACT where thoughts are PROCESSED.

How can thought be processes in an abstract place.. I showed u ur error and instead of correcting urself u reply me with the above?
what are thought made of, thought are simply elecro chemical reaction.......Now let me ask you a further question, where and what particular place does this electo chemical reaction located in the brain.

I can't write much , I will have explain the mind location to you.....mind is not meant to.be organ.

As i said you should know this as an affective scientist instead of me liberating you.

i know this already. It does not change what i have established, has it? The cortex is part of the brain, it is not part of the eyes or tongue or foot is it? This info is not changing what i am saying, you are only further establishing the fact. The mind is not a physical thing, what we call the mind is a function of cerebral process
science is a continuous and progressive feild. Live the answer to the expatriate, ""the neurologist ""

Anyway you talk as if you are not ready to learn....

HardMirror:
i am also not a neurologist, and i cant just start listing all i know. The summary that relates with this topic is what i have stated clearly; what we call our minds is entirely based on processes taking place in the brain
Anyway, cortex is that part of the brain that regulates the thinking process and it does it in many ways...you should read about it. In particular the prefrontal cortex is the area that modulates rational thinking and it is involved with decision making too. This are all thought thinking pattern which we called mind.

wld it tell us our thoughts are not a product of our brains? Does it seem to be going in that direction? I think our science is advance enough to know that thoughts are entirely based on our brains
what do you understand about the function of cortex
Christianity Etc › Re: My Nairaland Journey From Christianity To Atheism In Pictures. by vaxx: 4:14pm On Sep 14, 2018
frank317:
An abstract....

Thought is process in the mind.

Get ur story straight nro.
what don't you understand ,you once told me you were trained as psychologist , if so you shouldn't be having trouble regarding this concept.
Christianity Etc › Re: My Nairaland Journey From Christianity To Atheism In Pictures. by vaxx: 3:37pm On Sep 14, 2018
HardMirror:
indeed it is an abstract part of brain process. We call it mind not cos it is a physical entity but because we need to name the process of thoughts embodiment
I am not a neurologist, but i hypothesis that further and future study may tell us many things about cortex.

Mind is not a thing
mind is an abstract pact of the brain and central nervous system. Nothing can happen without a thought and thought is process in the mind

question is "are all these inventions worth the lives and properties
they've claimed?".
Good question I must say, I often also think about this? But let's take another look at it ...using the two sides of coin, during clinical research. Every symptom a person has must be written as a side effect, even if the two incidents are clearly unrelated. For example, if you're in a medication trial, and you die in a car wreck, death will be put as a side effect of that medication, even though it clearly wasn't the medicine itself. And again lets consider milk intake that will be consider a food, I for instance has no problem digesting this food, but they are people who takes this food and develop serious dioahoreh immideatly, do.you think taken of milk is evil in general.

Let me gist you how a Muslim named bilahi Philip justify suicide bomber ,

""When you look at the mind of the suicide bomber, it's a different intention altogether ... The [enemy] is either too heavily armed, or they don't have the type of equipment that can deal with it, so the only other option they have is to try to get some people amongst them and then explode the charges that they have to try to destroy the equipment and to save the lives of their comrades. So this is not really considered to be suicide in the true sense. This is a military action and human lives are sacrificed in that military action. This is really the bottom line for it and that's how we should look at it""

I am not advocating for this , but once you look at the premise of his argument from another angle, you may conclude that he has a point ( arguably ).

At least looking at it pragmatically innovation that kills and save can be justify, at least car innovation has eased movement and connect longer city very fast and at the same times it has send million to early grave .

When you focus so much on the negativity of this innovation, you may actually not appreciate it's purpose.

Top5 biggest secrets hidden to human finally uncovered by www.postingday.com

We all know the number of continents in the world and the number of planets in our universe.

In today’s world, with the help of astronomers, we can predict the future such as the weather forecast for tomorrow and when the next solar eclipse will happen. Some mighty all seeing humans can even argue with the assurance that they know where they would be in their after-life. But there are some hidden things in this world no one has been able to crack the secrets.

Our Top5 for today presents to you;

Top5 Biggest Secrets In The World

1. Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler was a dictator who initiated World War II and also the mastermind of the Holocaust.

Hitler can never be forgotten in history. In December 1941, he declared war on the United States; the failure to defeat the Soviets coupled with an attack by the US, made his army suffered series of defeat.

In the struggle to avoid capture by the Soviet Red Army, 40 hours after marriage, Hitler and his wife were reported to have committed suicide.

There have been emerging accounts with different stand on the real death of Hitler; one account stated that he died by poison, another argued he died by a self-inflicted gunshot while biting down on a cyanide capsule.

There is also controversy over the authenticity of the skull and jaw fragments claimed to be Hitler’s.

A DNA analyses in 2009 revealed the fragments could only belong to a female less than 40-year-old.

2. Hapsburg Napkin Fold

You might be wondering why we included such a casual topic into our mighty discoveries? shocked Wait till you find out why.

Folding of Hapsburg Napkin is a top secret in Austria. The guidelines of folding the Napkin is entailed in a Royal Act.

Many people have tried to fold this Napkin but the result has always been a failure ― there is a myth which stated that folding the Napkin which looks like a dong wrongly might unleash a god looking like a dong undecided .

The design was originally used at the dinner table of the emperor or empress of the Austro-Hungarian empire ― after the collapse of the Empire.

Today it is used at banquets when a foreign head is visiting.

3. Egyptian Pyramid

Although the technology of today has advanced to a stage whereby many people could not have envisioned before now.

But despite our gigantic technological advancements, it is still not a match to the Ancient Egyptians’ technology.

Even with a technologically enhanced house like Bill Gate's mansion, the construction of the pyramids of Giza is still a mystery to today’s scientists. No one has been able to replicate this epochal construction or the brainchild behind it.

The only near possible guess dies within our imaginations and fairy dreams.

4. US Oil Mining Reserve

Oil reserves in the United States were estimated to be 36.4 billion barrels of crude oil in 2014, a great leap from the oil reserve reported in 2008.

You might be thinking, “what is special about this?” Do you know? All of the United States Oil reserves locations are unknown to anybody except its government. Now you are thinking just what we are also thinking.

5. Liquid To Gasoline

A Chinese bus driver with no scientific education developed a formula out of the empty blues. (some accounts described him as an amateur chemist).

In 1983 he claimed to have synthesized a liquid, small amounts of which when dropped in water will convert it to fuel equivalent.

He was immediately granted automatic sponsorship by the government ($30 million) to start Hongcheng Magic Liquid Company, which never released any product.

He was arrested and condemned to 10 years of prison in 1998 by the government claiming that his discovery was a scam.

But other sources claimed and speculated that his misfortune resulted not from fraud, but from his unwillingness to reveal his 'secret formula' to the government.

Anytime you see this man on this forum claim that he's a pure mathematician, be kind enough to remind him that he will be never be a pure mathematician. Look at what he wrote as proof. There's a consistent and complete set called the set of REAL CLOSED FIELDS. I could post a link to educate him but like I told him, he was going to stumble. And he did.....

Don't take him seriously.
Don't bother about posting a link, he said he is only interested in his own veiw/explanation. And any other veiw you will be providing will be tantamount to brainwashing or programming in his own feeble mind.

I am not a trained mathematician but I can tell you is ignorant on it. I deal with maths and additional maths often (it is related to my minor ""informatics"".There is this statement of fact that all mathematical statements are logical statements but all logical statements are not mathematical statements. For a statement to be mathematically be the fact , it needs to be both logically and scientifically be fact base. For a statement to be mathematically false, it needs to be either logically false or scientifically false. He is Ignorantly unaware that without science, the existence of mathematics/logic will be invalid.

I want to ask him for a mathematical solution on this. suppose is in the midst of a monumental headache, what would be his constant/logical mathematical solution that will relax or improve his health?

Just went through the thread, hahahaha.. His debate is rather comical. He seems not to understand the concepts he is trying to debunk.
Op as for evolution, let me add to what sir vaxx has stated.
Evolurion is not an overnight process. It takes could take millions of years for an advantageous mutation to even manifest physically. Evolution is taking place every blessed day. Take for instance, people who carry sickle cell anemia(not sufferers but carriers) are actually natures way of fighting back at plasmodium sp.
Sickle cell carriers are not affected at the same rate or level of parasitaemia as people without sickle cell. It is worthy of mention that sickle cell is as a result of mutation, however it has conferred an advantage. Hope you get my little illustration.
The nature of God thrugh the testaments is also changes or rather evolving, isnt it?

A food for thought @Op.
Dogs we know are offshoot of wolves. Can you biblicaly prove that God created the dog.? Ensure to explain how it must have survived during the garden of eden days and how it ended up to becomes mans best friend.. Anticipate your response.
From his response on my thread , he does not appear a Christian but he has something to do with personal experience/opinion which is purely subjective and has no definitive answer .But approaching opinion as a way to interpret facts is clearly an act of ignorance. A rarional induvidual can only talk about the veracity or falsity of the part of the fact considered by that opinion.

can you prove this claim?
i don't prove ( we are not dealing with mathematics model) I will give you evidence using quantum mechanics as an example. There are theory that logically it make no sense to human , like there are different rules that exist on the subatomic level than on the atomic level (particles that can be in two places at the same time, particles traveling faster than light, things that can exist and not exist simultaneously, and especially, that two particles can be placed in a state in which observing one of them immediately affects the state of the other—even if they have traveled light years from each other before measuring one of them.
