The embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, appeared before the Special Investigation Panel set up by the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, on Tuesday to be questioned about the allegations leveled against him in the fraudulent case filed against internet fraudster Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi, according to NG Times Online News.

Recall the IGP Special Investigation Panel was recently set up to probe into the allegation against Kyari after he was asked to step aside.

Former chief of the Intelligence Response Team, Joseph Egbunike, testified before a panel led by Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department that he did not take a bribe from Hushpuppi.

Hushpuppi and five others were charged with a $1.1 million Internet fraud, although Kyari said he was not involved.

“Kyari has not admitted to engaging in the fraud yet,” a top source told SaharaReporters. He admits to having lived a full life and having a vast circle of friends both locally and internationally, but he maintains that no money was exchanged between him and the fraudster. He was interrogated till late in the evening. He’d still be invited back.”

The Special Adviser on Media to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC Tunde Rahman has refuted that his boss is dead or sick.

Following reports that the APC National Leader Tinubu had died, Rahman issued a statement on Saturday. He has however debunk the report, describing it as untrue.

Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has updated the recent air crash in which Army Chief Attahiru was killed a few months ago.

The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) reported that a preliminary report of an aircraft crash killing the late Chief of Army, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, and another 10 would be released within a week, the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) reports.

AIB Commissioner Akin Olateru reported this on Thursday, 8 July in Abuja, at the Bureau for the release of 8 flight accident reports.

However, Olateru pointed out that making the report public would be a prerogative of the military.

Chief Yomi Alliyu has written to the Federal Government, the lawyer to Yoruba militant, Sunday Igboho, demanding N500m from the DSS, staff of the State Services Department, which raided his home after the invasion of his customer’s house.

NG Times Online News reported that Igboho’s Ibadan home has been stormed by DSS operatives and at least two of his aid workers killed and his wife and many more were kidnapped.

After the incident, a number of Igboho’s helpers spoke to journalists, saying that the secret police killed 5 people and took away N3 million, jewelry, iPhones, and other items of value.

But the activist requested N500m as compensation for the losses done by the DSS officers from a letter titled, “Illegal Gang, grossly inconstitutional invasion of Igboho’s residence on Sunday” signed by Saturday’s lawyer Yomi Alliyu (SAN).

The lawyer said the money would be used to replace the exotic automobiles of its customer, including the G-Class Mercedes Benz and the 2019 Lexus car.

“We hereby demand that the Federal Government order an enquiry on the actions of various DSS safety officials who raided the house of Chief Sunday Adeyemo to sanction them and release all the innocent people who were arrested and to compensate the families of those who were assassinated.”

Kenya is in peril, and British lawyers have given President Muhammadu Buhari a 48-hour deadline to release Nnamdi Kanu.


According to NG Times Online News, a group of British lawyers of Igbo descent has threatened to take the Kenyan government to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for arresting British citizen Nnamdi Kanu and then passing him over to the Nigerian government.


The Coalition also issued Nigeria’s government a 48-hour deadline to release Nnamdi Kanu, return him to the UK, and follow the proper extradition procedures.


Kenyan officials seized and detained Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, who was later handed over to Nigerian authorities.

Barrister Ebuka Okoroafor signed the lawyers’ declaration, accusing the Kenyan government of violating the IPOB leader’s human rights because he entered the country on British passports.

“Coalition of Igbo-British lawyers condemns the illegal detention and subsequent handing over of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the Nigerian government by the Kenyan Government,” the Coalition statement said.

“It is worthy of note to mention that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu entered Kenya with his British passport, and the Kenyan government is fully aware of his citizenship status, but they still went ahead to perpetrate their illegal act, which not only breaches Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s personal human rights but also undermines the sovereignty of Kenya,” they said.

The Coalition warned that the Nigerian government’s failure to liberate Kanu and return him to the UK will be interpreted as a declaration of war against the IPOB leader and his group, as well as the entire Igbo people.

“While this serves as a pre-action notice to the Kenyan Government as we shall be heading to the International Criminal Court to rectify the injustice done as it is trite law that injustice to one is injustice to all, we are also by this medium informing the Nigerian Government that they have 48 hours to return Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the United Kingdom.

“And if he has any charges to answer to, they should as a nation that is governed by the constitution, pass through the legal means of filing an extradition notice.”

Following Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest by the Federal Government, Sunday Igboho appear to have backpedaled on secessionist plans.

Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has declared that he does not have the authority to battle the Nigerian government, according to NG Times Online News.

PRESS STATEMENT BY CONCERNED FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF LATE MR MICHAEL USIFO ATAGA IN RESPONSE TO THE THURSDAY, 24TH OF JUNE 2021 PRESS BRIEFING BY THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, LAGOS STATE, CP HAKEEM OLUSEGUN ODUMOSU AND THE CONFESSION OF THE PRIME SUSPECT, CHIDINMA ADAORA OJUKWU

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press,

We, the immediate family and close friends of Mr. Michael Usifo Ataga, our son, brother and friend who was gruesomely murdered on Tuesday, the 15th of June 2021, following the arrest of the prime suspect, Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, and following a public statement made on the arrest and other developments by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Olusegun Odumosu on the aforementioned date, do hereby make the following statement.

From the instant the news of the murder of our son, brother and friend, Michael Usifo Ataga, broke in public space, we have collectively remained in a state of deep shock. Neither we nor any of our representatives has made any public statement, not only because of our state of shock, but also because we’ve chosen to wait until the Police formally say something publicly about how their investigation is going.

Of course, we did read reports of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Odumosu briefing certain members of the press on the challenges they were facing trying to apprehend the prime suspect, while assuring the public that they were on her trail. We also read when he informed Nigerians that they had blocked Mr Michael Usifo Ataga’s account after reports claim about N5 million had already been withdrawn from the account after his death. The Police wisely did this to prevent further withdrawals by the criminal elements behind the killing. But on Thursday, the 24th of June, 2020, CP Odumosu formally issued a press briefing in which he updated Nigerians on the latest developments in the case. This was exactly what we had been waiting for.

The first thing we would like to do in this piece before going into the substantive issues that have necessitated this press release is to thank Nigerians. We are humbled by the outpouring of support and messages of condolences the family has received from Nigerians far and near, known and unknown. To be honest, we were as pleasantly surprised as we could possibly be in the circumstances because we had been following the news and the types of reports and commentaries we were reading about the incidence, especially with the concerted attacks directed at our son, brother and friend, the victim of the murder, did not give us much hope.

We had become immediately aware that those behind his death were the ones behind those initial press reports slanted to give a wrong impression of what really happened. In all, we couldn’t understand how a victim of murder would be blamed by a section of the public for his death at a time his killers are still at large and when the stories coming out were evidently coming out from the same ill-disguised sources clearly linked to the killers. It was obvious they were trying too hard to paint Michael Usifo Ataga as a cheating husband and a deadbeat dad who’s met his comeuppance in the hands of his “side chic,” even when the supposed single murderer was yet to be apprehended. So, to see that thousands of Nigerians we do not know still reached out to us to share their outrage and condole with us is heartwarming. We really are exceedingly grateful. We thank you all very much.

The next group of people we must thank are the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu and the men and women of the Lagos State Police Command. They have surprised us and all Nigerians with how fast they deployed their skills and professionalism to apprehend the prime suspect, despite the obvious challenges they faced with no CCTV camera in the area or any other security apparatus to rely on. Despite these challenges, they apprehended the prime suspect just about a week after the crime was committed. Though, we have said here we are pleasantly surprised as we could possibly be in the circumstances, we have never doubted that the men and women of the Lagos State Police Command were ultimately going to get to the bottom of this. Every time our representatives have gone to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, they have always come away feeling quite hopeful after talking with the officers. CP Odumosu and the men and women under his command are great exemplars of the noble Nigerian character of pure professionalism and empathy. We thank them, we appreciate them immensely.

Now, while we are saddened by the bad press our son, brother and friend, Michael Usifo Ataga has received, even in death and even in being the only victim of this gruesome murder, we are not joining issues with anyone about it. However, it is inevitable that we have to address some dangerous misinformation in public space. We do not intend to address all because we believe that those who know Michael Usifo Ataga know what is not true about him flying around and that is what mostly matters to family and friends. To this end, we have chosen to first address two specific issues in this misinformation campaign because these have been key in unfairly and falsely driving the narrative of this unfortunate incident in public space. We reckon that since we are the only ones with the facts and since the matter has become a public issue, it would be proper to share these with Nigerians, so people are not hoodwinked into believing anything in the name of being properly informed about the matter.

The first issue we want to clarify is the state of Michael Usifo Ataga’s marriage and his family situation before his passing. We would not have been doing this at all, but for the fact that there are so many lies being bandied around right now in public space that need immediate debunking. The record simply needs to be set straight. Michael Usifo Ataga at the time of his death had been formally separated from his wife, Brenda Onose Ataga, for about four years. This is not a secret amongst family and friends. In these past four years both he and his wife have been living totally separate and independent lives with him in Lagos and the wife and the two children of the marriage in Abuja. So, there was no expectation for Michael Usifo Ataga to return to any matrimonial home when this unfortunate incident happened, even though he dutifully met his obligations to his family at all times. Indeed, his body was discovered when it was only because that was around his birthday and family and friends were calling to wish him a “Happy Birthday.” It was because they couldn’t get him on the phone and his daughter realized someone else was trying to respond to her on her daddy’s phone when she actually wanted to greet him on his birthday that raised the alarm within the family that led to the search that led his friends to the scene of his murder.

We have to state the fact above because we are shocked to see that the press and social media is inundated with “news” about his marriage delivered on one hand with the intention of painting him as a cheating husband, while on the other hand, those talking about the separation are just getting the facts wrong. Not that this matters or should matter when we are talking about murder, but it matters greatly if this type of “news” is being funneled into public space by those who killed him, which is what we believe is happening right now. The objective would be to paint him in bad light, so gullible and uninformed members of the public (and they are very many) would feel less horrified by his death. We can see that they have doubled down on this tactics by carpeting everywhere with editorialized pictures and biographical information about Brenda. We do not believe that Brenda at the time of mourning her husband would be commissioning agents to release this type of inversely damaging information about her husband. It’s all coming from the stable of the killers trying hard to throw people off their trail by getting people mired in moralizing (some hypocritically) about a man who seemed to have everything – money, great wife and beautiful children – but who still was greedily going for a “side chic.” Context matters.

We urge everyone who has posted the “MEET BRENDA” texts and accompanying pictures on social media and elsewhere to take them down. It is not in good taste. A wife would not choose the moment of her husband’s death to put out her CV or crow triumphantly about her academic and professional achievements in public space. We believe she didn’t commission it; we believe those who are behind her husband’s death and those acting for them funneled it into public space. We urge decent Nigerians not to be unwitting spreaders of false, tasteless and damaging information. Bring it down, if it’s on your wall on Facebook or on your page on WhatsApp or anywhere else. We urge the press, including news websites, to do the same and desist from continuing to publish it or any related information. Please, give the family the respect, the right atmosphere and privacy to grieve in peace.

Barely six months ago, a 17-year-old girl Kemisola Oguniyi was arrested and illegally detained at the Surulere prison in Akure Ondo state capital over ENDSARS allegations.

The situation of Kemisola is a true reflection of what transpired across different parts of the country. Besides, the Lekki toll gate massacre overshadowed the injustice young Nigerians suffered in the hand security agents.

In a report by FIJ, her parents are saying the illegal detention of their child has caused more wreck and tears for the family.

On October 24, 2020, Kemisola was arrested and whisked away to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID in Ondo, while going to get drugs for her sick mother. She was accused of having connections with ENDSARS protesters who burned the All Progressive Congress (APC) secretariat in the state. She was charged with arson, among other offences.

Before then, on October 21, rampaging youth had attacked the Akure APC secretariat and set the edifice ablaze. The youth claiming to be #EndSARS protesters had defied the 24-hour curfew imposed by the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, to mount roadblocks across the streets of Akure.

Following the incident, security agents in Ondo state had indiscriminately raided the streets of Akure in the name of arresting the culprits. Kemisola and others were arrested and remanded in the process.

Kemisola’s detention was not known to the general public until Twitter users, especially members of the RevolutionNow group, raised an alarm that the teenage girl was languishing in prison.

“She was not an EndSARS protester; she never protested,” Mrs Felicia Ogunniyi, Kemisola’s mother, told FIJ. “We’ve spent a lot to secure her release but we couldn’t; her father lost his job over her matter and we’ve lost all we had on this case. Please help us.”

In a further submission, Kemisola’s father, Rotimi Ogunbiyi, said the case has wrecked him financially and mentally. He added that he has spent every dime he has on the matter.

“In fact, it has been a while since we last visited her in prison because we have nothing to offer her,” he said.

Iba Gani Adams, Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, demands worldwide intervention in the South-West area massacres, warning that “the bubble may burst soon.”

Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams wants global intervention over the killings in the South-West region, warning that “the bubble may burst soon”.

He made the call in a letter to the Secretary General, United Nations (UN), the Chairperson of the African Union (AU), and the Secretary of State, United States.

Among those copied on the mail were the British Foreign Secretary, the European Union (EU), and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The letter titled “Urgent need to stop killings by Fulani herdsmen in Yorubaland” called the attention of the international community to the “clear and present danger” threatening Nigeria.

The daily massacre of citizens, according to Adams, is an indication that the country is on the verge of anarchy.

He condemned the inability of the federal government to address the “already gory situation”.

Adams called for action against the “agenda” and “pogrom progressively being executed in Yorubaland,” noting that the world is aware of what is going on in the world’s most populous black country.

“Yorubaland has been put under severe duress by the payment of a ransom requested by conscienceless, unscrupulous, and cruel assassins, amounting to millions of naira.

“The pressure on them to leave our country has reached an all-time high. The Federal Government’s support (our people’s view) that “nobody can chase anyone from any region of the country” isn’t helping matters.”

Adams claims that “blood-thirsty maniacs” who rape, abduct, and murder Yoruba people are putting their peace, stability, and calm to the test.

Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari has received the first made in Nigeria cell phone on Wednesday 9 June, 2021. The indigenous cell phone is known as ITF mobile.

The cell phone is one of the 12 indigenous mobile cell phones produced by the Model Skills Training Centre of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

The presentation of the Nigeria cell phone to the president was made by the Minister of Industry, trade and Investment, Adeniyi Adebayo, before the commencement of Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja.

The minister of Industry, trade and Investment, Adeniyi Adebayo, stated that the phone was one of the twelve locally produced phones by the by the Electrical/Electronic Technology Department of the Industrial Training Fund’s (ITF) Model Skills Training Centre. He also stated that the phone was made with locally made materials.

The Minister said, “Twelve indigenous mobile cell phones produced by the Model Skills Training Centre of the Industrial Training Fund; an agency under Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment was launched. It gives me great pleasure Mr President, to present you with one of the phones.”

This is a great leap forward for Nigeria in terms of science and technology and we hope the government gives the necessary support.

While many people have lost faith in All Progressive Change (APC) as a party, Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma seems very optimistic the party would lead the country again in 2023.

The Imo state governor met with the president on Tuesday in Abuja for a “consultative meeting “.

He said: “I came to see the president to consult with him, and I had a very good consultation, and the president received me well. I’m satisfied with the quality of discussion I had with him,’’ he told journalists at the end of the meeting.

“Nobody is telling me that this government is not performing; that salaries are not being paid or that the roads are not being constructed or the railway is not going or the various intervention funds to empower our youths are not being given out.

“Nobody has come in concrete terms to accuse this government of one failure or the other.”

According to Uzodinma: “I believe in pragmatism. I believe in doing things right. Can anybody come and tell me one, two, three, four reasons why this APC should not win in the next election? Nobody has said that. I’ve not read either in any newspaper.

A staunch critic of the Buhari-led administration, Reno Omokri has dared the Attorney-General of the federation Abubakar Malami on his plan to prosecute Pastor Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo, and Pastor Kumuyi following their continued use of Twitter after it was banned in the country.

Recently, General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye; William Folorunsho Kumuyi, General overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, violated the Nigeria Twitter ban which was imposed by the federal government on Friday.

Adeboye had justified his use of Twitter with Article 19 of the United Nations, UN, Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). In a tweet, the RCCG General Overseer said the church is domiciled in over 70 countries of the world, hence the need to continue tweeting.

Pastor Kumuyi also tweeted: In view of the Twitter ban in Nigeria, please note that the content shared on this handle is targeted at a global audience in more than 5 continents and over 100 Nations and we share the content from any of these locations.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has made it clear that it would prosecute anyone who violates the regulation. According to minister of information, Lai Mohammed: “The attorney-general has made it clear that if anyone violates the regulation, that such person will be prosecuted. I think it is the right of the attorney-general to decide who to prosecute,” .

Nigerians are currently dragging the NYSC Director General, Brig. Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, over his controversial statement of mobilising National Youth Service Corps members.

Ibrahim said this on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ programme on Wednesday while reacting to moves to scrap the NYSC scheme which is compulsory for all Nigerians who graduate before the age of 30.

The NYSC boss said, “Corps members are on reserve. They are part of the national defence policy of this country. So, where there is serious war, our corps members are educated, they are knowledgeable and they can be trained. You see the drill and so on.

“You can imagine within the short three weeks in the orientation camps, the corps members are moulded. They are like soldiers. You see female corps members blowing the army horn, playing with the military band.

“So, if not for the knowledge, where are you going to mobilise such young Nigerians to train them quickly to put in their best for the country? So, corps members are on reserve. They are also part of the national defence policy.”

He said the NYSC is concerned about the security of corps members and that is why they had been advised not to move around at night.

Ibrahim argued that the NYSC had become more important than ever in the face of the rising calls for secession

Former deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu has once again expressed his ambition to run for the presidential elections in 2023.

Moghalu had run during the 2019 presidential elections under the Young Progressive Party where he secured 21,886 votes in an election that was won by President Muhammadu Buhari who scored 15,191,847 votes.

Despite his loss in the last election, Moghalu appears to remain optimistic about his chances following a renewed desire to contest in 2023 once more. He expressed disappointment and blamed his loss on the low turnout of Nigerian youths in the election.

He ran on a four-point agenda which he code-named ‘SWAG’ with a commitment to run a government with a team of highly competent Nigerians from all parts of the country.

“SWAG means Security for all Nigerians and Nigeria’s territory; War against poverty: skills, jobs for our youths and an innovation economy; Accelerated education and healthcare reform; Good governance: inclusive, transparent, effective and accountable.”

In a statement on social media on Monday, he said the only way Nigeria could get out the woods is through competent and visionary leadership.

The Southern governors have remained resolute in their attempts to ban open grazing. This decision from Southern governors has been met with vehement opposition from the presidency.

Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari recently questioned the legality of open grazing ban in Southern Nigeria. According to the president, such action is purely unconstitutional as it violates the freedom of association right which the Nigerian constitution upholds.

Frequent clashes between herders from the north and farmers in both the north and south has prompted this drastic action from the Southern governors. The governors two weeks ago reached a consensus to ban open grazing in Southern Nigeria for safety and security concerns.

Many Nigerians know Professor Itsejuwa Sagay. You probably know him as a distinguished Professor of Law, a respected Senior Advocate of Nigeria, former Dean of Law of Universities of Ife and Benin, author of landmark legal texts and of course, as the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Anti-Corruption.

But did you know that Professor Itse Sagay made history in 1965 when he graduated from the University of Ife? He passed in the Second Class [Upper Division] and became the first Nigerian law student graduate from any Nigerian university to distinguish. That was 53 years ago.

Professor Itsejuwa Esanjumi Sagay (Senior Advocate of Nigeria) obtained his law degree (L.L.B) from Ife in 1965 and was enrolled as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1966 after obtaining his Certificate from the Council of Legal Education (B.L.). He was awarded a Master of International Law (L.L.M) from Cambridge in 1968 and a Ph.D. in International Law in 1970.

Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II’s husband, has died.

Prince Philip is aged 99, Buckingham Palace has announced in the early hour of today.

In a release by the Buckingham Palace said, “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”

Recall the Duke was an honorary member of the Jockey Club and a former president of the Marylebone Cricket Club.

The Grand National will go ahead at Aintree on Saturday, with a two-minute silence to be held on the course.

The Football Association said it had sent its “deepest condolences” to the Queen and the Duke of Cambridge, the FA’s president.

Prince Philip was FA president from 1955-57, and accompanied the Queen to Wembley when England won the World Cup in 1966.

The sporting world have started sending their condolence messages to the late Prince Phillip.

The Rugby Football League paid tribute to the Duke, stating: “As a sport, we will stand in tribute and reflection at our Challenge Cup matches this weekend to mark the life of the Duke of Edinburgh, whose life was a model of dedication to public service.”

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho, who was told of the Duke’s death during a news conference, also expressed his condolences.

“I have the utmost respect for the royal family,” the Portuguese said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has Monday accented to legislation that could make him remain in office till 2036, according to a copy of the bill posted on the government’s legal information portal.

Recall the constitutional amendment was approved by referendum last year.

Under the previous constitution, Putin, 68, who has already been in power for more than two decades, would have been required to have stepped down after his second consecutive term ends in 2024.

Recall Russian Vladimir Putin first came into the office between 1999–2008, where he spent two-term as president.

He re-contested and eventually won the election for another term in 2012 and has remained in office since then.

But amendments approved by Russians in a nationwide vote last year allow him to run for two more six-year presidential terms. The amendments were passed by the State Duma in late March.

Putin, who will be 83 in 2036, already served two consecutive terms as president from 2000 till 2008, when he had to step down according to the rules of the previous 1993 constitution.

He then served two terms as prime minister — with many observers saying he was still president in all but name — before being reelected to the presidential post in 2012 and 2018.

The amendments represent a major overhaul of the constitution, and opposition forces have accused Putin of abuse of power in introducing them.

Machester United Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appear to be an happy man after a goaless draw away to the Blues, with away team unlucky to have had a penalty.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hit out at Chelsea after Manchester United were denied a penalty during the clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The goaless draw has sparked to life on one controversial incident.

Blues forward Callum Hudson-Odoi appeared to handle the ball in a tangle with Mason Greenwood after a Marcus Rashford free-kick was beaten away by Edouard Mendy.

Referee Stuart Attwell did not give a penalty, but was called aside by the VAR to have a look at the decision and see if he wanted to overturn it.

the referee stuck with his on-field decision, despite replays showing Hudson-Odoi did indeed handle in in the area.

Manchester United boss Solskjaer was livid afterwards, saying: ” Yep, 100% (it’s a penalty). No idea (why it wasn’t given), not at all, especially when they stop it, he walks across to watch it. From here, you can see it’s a handball but you think it’s our player who does it and then when you look at it on the video, it’s taken two points away from us.”

And Solskjaer went on to criticise Chelsea for a story that appeared on the official club website in the build-up to the game at Stamford Bridge.

Solskjaer added: ” It’s all these outside influences, even the VAR talk here before the game with Harry Maguire, that’s cheeky when they (Chelsea) put that on their website, that’s influencing referees.

“You can go back and look at the website. You can read it, what they’re saying about all the controversy with Harry Maguire and putting pressure on the referees to give penalties against us.

“We’ve seen there was a manager, was it Frank (Lampard) who started it? There’s loads of talk about us getting penalties when there is no doubt whatsoever. Now, we should have had the penalty, that’s clear.”
