CFCfan: And IBB had the audacity to hypocritically set up the NDLEA. Also, the US authorities during the 1980s had the shameless effrontery to label Nigeria as essentially a world renowned drug route. Smh.

Anyway, I wouldn't entirely blame both Reagan and Thatcher for their hypocrisy and double standards, it was the CIA that needed the Nigerian drug route to fund their (CIA) activities in Nicaragua (Iran-Contra scandal).
This is the problem Nigerians BLAME GAME, we are very good at it, we never take responsibility. ....My parent didn't do this and that for me, what have you done for yourself.

Let's Take stock to see what we've done for ourselves instead of pointing an accusing fingers...more so what has drugs got to do with MAGGIE? Nonsense.

mike404: I expect lagos wannabe like tifnubu and fashola to keep quiet when a REAL lagos boy like Ambassador Musiliu Obanikoro s talking...he really opened their yarnsh cheesy
The real Lagos boy indeed, politics with bitterness as usual.

Listen, this guy failed woefully considering all the influence and the support he had the by past government, Tinubu is not a good man because he's the Directors of Agbero but cuddos to him for the few progress he made but later deviate to GREEDY BASTARD.

Fashola to me has done very well but Lagos was neglected knowing fully well it's the heart of Nigeria as well as the face of the country, Rome was not build in a day but gradual process and consistency in their manifesto has helped in the building of Rome and that's what it's hsppening.

Absolute nothing was done before AC but milking the income generated by Lagos and I can't see KORO making any difference.

I don't like Tinubu style but Fashola all the way.
PoliticsRe: Will You Vote For BUHARI In The Forthcoming Election? by Venchy: 9:37am On Apr 08, 2013
Let's be frank with ourselves, Nigeria conduct elections but the CROOKS picks whoever they want and our vote never count.

But if I will have to VOTE I'll vote for Buhari as he was the president during IDIAGBON who meant well for NIGERIA and who loves the country with their heart not not clueless GEJ that Pardon one of the Nigerian most wanted Criminals.

There's a sense of purpose in Nigeria during Buhari's/IDIAGBON, total Law and oder in the country before Obasanjo gave go ahead to the coupe that tuple their government in which MKO was the sponsor of it.

Sentiment, tribalism and Worst of it all (GREED AND CORRUPTION has damaged Nigeria.

Nigerians have to be careful with whoever they are voting for or else this CROOKS as well as STARNGERS will continue to Rule Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Should I Return To Nigeria? by Venchy: 6:26pm On Apr 06, 2013
You are a very wicked man to paint Nigeria so rosy in your advice to the Op. There is nothing wrong with one coming back to his father land to establish him or her self, despite the challenges Nigeria faces. I, for instance, wants to come back and help myself as well as the economy. Nigeria is one of the best place to turn ones money many times over if one is careful and know what he or she is doing. But to paint Nigeria in the manner that you have just done without emphasizing its herculean challenges, is to say the least, very unfortunate.

Now Op, Nigeria has so many challenges that are peculiar to Nigeria. Forget about people telling you that the security situation in Naija is comparable to that of the western countries. It's a big freaking lie. Anybody saying that probably has not stepped outside of naija. Quite agreed, western countries have their own security challenges, but those challenges are in no way shape or form comparable to that of Naija. They are light years ahead of naija in every ramifications. I will use myself as an example. I live in New York city. There has never been a day I went to bed fearing that armed robbers would invade my house and attack me while I'm sleeping. I can wake up at 1am in the night and decide to drive to DC for example, and won't be afraid of encountering armed robbers on the way. If I'm in any situation that I consider to be a threat to my life, all I will do is to dial 911 and police will be there within minutes. Mind you, this is not to say that crimes don't happen in the big apple, it does. But every crime is investigated and culprits punished, if caught, and they do catch so many of them.

Now, what of Naija? This is a different case entirely. It is nightmarish. Right from the airport, you have to be extremely careful, lest you be kidnapped. No matter where you live, you have to sleep with one eye open because of armed robbers, and they are merciless. What about those being paid to protect us? Some of them are the robbers and themselves or work hand in hand with the robbers. Pray not to find yourself in a life or death situation, because if you do, and call them, they will come 3 hrs after the event, and if they come, they may end up shooting you. The roads are too bad and the airlines fly mainly aircrafts that the original owners couldn't get re-certified overseas and ended up selling them to Nigerians. I can go on and on to list the terrible challenges, they are so innumerable. Don't let anybody deceive you, it's not a bed of roses out there. It's not, it's simply nightmarish.

The above notwithstanding, you should not be deterred from coming home, after all, Nigeria is your fatherland, and you can make good money there, even better than overseas. Plan very well. Visit very often while planning. Be careful of the friend you keep. Always blend in with the crowd, don't try to stand out. There are so many returnees that are doing very well and your case won't be different. You are not coming back to a bed of roses, rather, you are coming back to a place that has a lot of potentials that are yet untapped.
Please take note of this name "ROSSIKK"....He's a GOVERNMENT CHICKEN BOY that paint every BAD things as good as well as paint all the diaspora as nonentity.

He's always against every truth people have to say about the country, clearly he doesn't understand freedom of expression, very abusive and intrusive, even when you are not talking to him or quote him, that tells you that he's one of those that's making money at the expense of the country.

Another money making advise....Men of God indeed......No more person ooo.

Please chill out wherever you are for now until there's a sense of direction with this present government.

Average Nigerians back home have no idea what's happening within the country as we have more news than them.

A lot of people will like to go back home but situation on ground is totally discouraging with GEJ given Pardon to his formal criminal boss....Wonders shall never end in Nigeria.

Rossikk: Where did this lying criminal sneak out of? There are parks in Lagos especially on the island, but frustrated criminals, rapi.sts, and drug dealers like you are barred fom such places. Can't be bothered with the rest of the exaggerated horse manure you posted.
Lol....you don't have to be abusive and aggressive, slow down.

I was born in ONIKE area of yaba if you know where I'm talking about, just by UNILAG as well also attended St Finbar's college where Henry Nwosu, Stephen Keshi and Nduka Ugbade passed through.

Now, (1) can you tell me the state of that park at IKOYI , even in ABUJA, I heard that there's a park but you have to pay?(2) where in Mainland there's any park, Lagos Island , and other part of Lagos state?

This really ubsurd when people like you comes on this forum to flogg what is not available, why why why!!!!!!.

Again dishonesty is our major problem and that's exactly what you've displayed with your RUEBEN ABATI style.

So tell me what is left for Ordinary people to enjoy or for recreation, what am I talking about.

As far as I'm concerned, theres NONE but display of stolen wealth, lie to people and Oppress.

Shame.

For your info, one of my friend resigned from Stanbic Bank as an offshore Banker and relocate back to SA because there's no stress and no drugs business and there's more to life than Money money money.

Your "home" is wherever you and your family can enjoy a comfortable existence without looking over your shoulders, it's not necessarily where you were born. If you and your family are comfortable in SA, then stay there.
This is eactly what I always say to people you and your immediate family are the most important thing. If you really love them, you'll always want the best for them.

Do you know how many Nigerian leaders that keeps their family's abroad.

Some people on NL have never taste another life and that's why they know any difference.

exxell: Story Of My Life..... from this write up, all I was able to deduce is one thing: YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE UP YOUR MIND NEVER TO COME BACK TO NIGERIA.YOU JUST WANT CHEAP PUBLICITY STUNT. I know that Nigeria is not perfect but slow and steady; we are getting there. It is better to be a king among my "poor" brothers than a slave among "rich" foreigners. When you die, I hope you will be buried in SA undecided undecided or will they kidnap your corpse too grin grin grin?

SUMMARY, WE DO NOT CARE!
OMG....why are we full of jealousy and envy, this poor guy is only asking for people's opnion and doesn't deserve to be slargeg off.

This is exactly the reaction of Nigerian Police that's suffering from chronic hunger, telling me this not Ameria, what an ass.

My broday from another mother, the truth is that NIGERIA is a lovely country but presently insane because of our Useless Leaders.

Please keep juggling both side as you are privileged to do so for my obvious reasons.

(1) No Medical facilities in Nigeria as you can see, our leaders are always flying abroad for treatment but MANDELA never stepped out of SA....fact, (2) your children can go to park for recreation which there's none in Lagos other than their SHOPRITE or whatever it's called (3) No Electricity, (4) Nigerian roads are DEATH TRAP and to summarise it all 10% of Nigerians are to be trusted and the rest are Crooks, haven't said that, you might be selling drugs cos because majoriy of us are on the fast lane.

Every nation have their own issues but Nigeria seems to be getting worse and it's very sad.

Money is nothing but health is Key to everything which SA will offer.

Appendicitis killed my friends Mum in 2008 when I visited Nigeria, took time to visit her at GBAGADA GENERAL HOPITAL where she was been treated and I can only stay for 5 min because the Ward looks like Makoko but I honestly don't know what it's like now.
BusinessRe: Advice needed : How do I successfully manage my bakery In Nigeria from the UK?. by Venchy:
bjdon: My dear, I am from Edo like you shall I address as you as my sister. Please take my words for what they are, the words of advice from a brother. Consider either going back to Nigeria to manage this business yourself, or cut your losses and stop now. I hate to tell you this but I've seen it so many time before and it just dose not work. Nobody can run your business like you. Even your blood relative may not have the motivation or drive to go the extra mile required to run a business and make good profits. When you consider that Nigeria can be a very tough place to do business you have to go the extra mile. I would advice you to focus on static business like real estate which requires minimal intervention.
I wish you all the best.
You are dam right, my personal experience was bad, took a bank loan, send the moneys to my Jobless Brother to buy a van so as to become self employed and remit some money for me, Over 900K but after one yr of STRESS, I went back home to see what I invested in but bust into tears, I decided to sell it 280k as AGREED with the buyer but my family told me the buyer brought 250K. Can somebody help in counting or calculate my losshuh

I collected my change and moved on, but I'm in Uk paying back the money as I don't do yahoo or any dodgy deals, that's my experience.

My advise to anyone abroad is "HELP IF YOU CAN BUT PLEASE DO NOT RUN ANY BUSINESS IN NIGERIA WHILE LIVING ABROAD", it's crime to help in that country as far as I'm concerned.

98% of our people are ready to kill you while you are breaking your back, always wants to EAT where they've never invest....BAD MENTALITY.

No More Person Oooo, people are as bad as their leaders.
