Applying for a visa is a complex situation and most of this refusal, I would be sincere with you has to do with discrepancies in the documents. we can be somewhat extremely desperate as a people and would indulge in anything cheaper to get our way. I know a couple of people who have dented their chances by putting forward a bad foot. These are the kind of guys you meet at the embassy or VFS when you go to apply and all they say is how terrible the embassy is and all that, right there and you are wondering why they are there in the first place. if you watch carefully, they would be turned around almost immediately they approach the counter, maybe for many other reasons they are there to beg their cases.... Naija no dey try at all, and this doesn't help the other people coming behind. HRprof: Business or tourist visa need strong ties not just huge bank statements . When I applied for my second visa to France I have just 500k account balance but with 10milions total cash inflows on a 6 month bank statements and I still get my visa approved. The money wasn’t seating in my account but in and out cash movement. People with 20 million balance bank statements get rejected maybe for other reasons |

Am sorry, but in this case, I was not speaking about a study Visa. A study visa is almost easier everywhere you intend to travel, I was talking of Business and as well as Tourist Visas. HRprof: Your account statement is not the major reason for visa approval when it comes to UK embassy even other embassies look out for your strong ties in In Nigeria before deciding to issue visa or not. Is easier to get student visa in UK with borrowed POF than business owner with huge bank statement without prove of tax payment |
Travel › Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by vibrant99(m): 7:48pm On Nov 18, 2022 |
Someone with a Dump of 200 million in their account for 2 months is not as qualified in the Consular books as someone who has an in and out transaction of 10 Million Niara in 2 months ...... even if the account has a 1k account balance but has done 10million in 60 days , certifies a proof of sufficient fund.
Very soon the UK will increase the number of months' statements, and that would bite.
It's not really the value sitting in an account, It's the movement of the money in the account.
Everyone is doing Proof of Funds these days but if you can start using your account frequently for a small 10k...50k, it could save you tomorrow, in no near-future UK won't take a 1-month statement again, this is a voice on the HILL! |

They also come to Nairaland to See what they need to improve on. Active or Inactive doesn't mean a Business is dead, it's an internal issue with FIRS not with your decision to travel , Your bank statement is a major Motor that drives your capacity to maintain a well-planned trip. HRprof: Don’t blame them they use UK embassy experience of CAC inactive and active nonsense. When I got my France visa twice i use my CAC document as a business owner,I did not submit any Tax clearance and my CAC status was inactive. When I was applying for UK visa to attend conference I got information about people been denied visa because of CAC status showing inactive, I quickly paid my annual returns to active it but they still denied me for non submission of TAX clearance. It seems UK embassy collaborate with Nigeria government to ensure business owners pay their tax. |
Travel › Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by vibrant99(m): 4:18pm On Nov 18, 2022 |
Your visa cannot be rejected because your CAC Number is inactive, The main thing is the statement of account, If it's hyperactive then it cancels that out, Many companies are "inactive" and visas are granted. Sometimes rejecting an application is to see if you really want to travel or just test your luck. If you apply again, don't change anything in the application and reapply, am sure you would get it. castiello: Check the status of your CAC on public search if it’s inactive it might be the reason go and pay your annual return to make it active apply again even the uk now refuse visa because of this |

Have to refresh each ti,e, You got me hooked. I really wanna do this TRIP Onlinefarmstore: After the hotel I prepared to cross into chad, mehn I got a transport guy 1k cefas (ppp) to the order side Ngueli.
Ngueli isn't far from my hotel 10mins drive and the capital of chad isn't far from the border 15mins drive. Or not farm from Kousséri
Did my visa and stamping for 3k cefas (ppp or 30k cefas) I was told I was cheated......
Now let me tell you,
Amongst all the countries chad border is the most secured, armed escorts heavily militaries, soldiers cctv, they scan your fingers ask you how long you are to stay, check you search you.
If they see you will NIN slip you are finished, only passport |

Thank God for a safe Trip, Stay healthy too what does people look like there , we need random pics too, Keep it up Onlinefarmstore: Once I had left Fotokol in Cameroon we travel to Kousséri a border between Cameroon and Chad, and the journey lasted 5hr or six hrs.
It was quite late I couldn't move so I had to look for a hotel what I saw was wow Holly Wood Hotel and 1k cefas a night (based on ppp).
In preparation for travel to Chad.
I bought food they call water fufu (couldn't eat it, too much oil, strong etc), bought for 1k cefas (based on legal tender and water for 5h),
The next thing was I bathed and prepared to move out to chad.
Couldn't get a clear pic of the food, and had to take Mill because it trigger a health attack. |

Great one, the story is quite entertaining too.... You seem to do this journey once in a while in time, or are you with a guide? Onlinefarmstore: Once inside Cameroom life took a different turn: Let me explain 5800 naira is equals to 10k cefas but the real value of 10k cefas is 2k cefas (based of ppp), so the indigenes calls 10k cefas as 2k cefas which leaves you chasing from naira as a very disadvantage position because my 200k gave me slightly 35k cefas (based on the ppp), or you say 170k cefas based on tender value.
From Fotokol in Cameroon, based on we that had passport I joined a vehicle to Kousseri (a border town with Chad ), and its a 5hr journey largely due to bad road (and following jungles).
The cost was 3k cefs (based on ppp) or 15k cefas based on tender figure or 9k plus in naira come see flood for Cameroon and bad road.
To stamp passport in Fotokol its supposed to be 8h cefas based on ppp but I paid 2k cefas based on ppp- story for another day.
I noticed that their headers are friendlier, everyone is willing to help, asin even in forest they park their cars to help one another and move without fear.
Though their road network is nothing to write about.
Bribery is very rampant.
I say fox animal and elephant (giwa). |

why does he need to legalize it again in Nigeria when he already did that at the Benin republic, You cannot legalize a foreign document in Nigeria, you only legalize a Nigerian certificate in the embassy of the country you intend to go that is in your own country, and that because the school requested for it. drLammy: No sir You can't Legalize a foreign obtained certificate directly in Nigeria. You will have to take the documents to ministry of foreign affairs at Benin Republic before it can be leaglized here in Nigeria. Thanks |

Congrats that you got a mail from them now and have heard them give you the piece of their mind. You will have to travel to Abuja physically by Next week Tuesday (I hear they would be opening by Tuesday) or first give them a call on Monday morning by 10 am before embarking. Make sure you are there physically to get first-hand information from them. when exactly did they reply to this, what day? They seem to reply to lots of people with the same kind of mail that they sent you. lekejohnson2222: The embassy finally sent me an email. Can somebody explain to me what next?....especially how to to get an appointment at the embassy to apply for a national visa and how would I know immediately the embassy is reopened to the public?.....Below is the content of the email I got from the embassy:
" Good afternoon. The competent authorities in Portugal responded to the visa application, saying that a Schengen visa is not the adequate visa for this purpose. You will have to submit to a Temporary Stay visa, but kindly keep in mind that due to the current security situation in the city of Abuja, the Embassy of Portugal in Abuja is currently closed to the public until further notice, and therefore unable to accept national visa applications until further notice.
