TravelRe: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by vibrant99(m): 5:21pm On Oct 21, 2022
Who has received their Visa during this Application suspension?
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 4:24pm On Oct 21, 2022
Did you submit it at the VFS or Embassy?

lekejohnson2222:
I submitted application since August 15, 2022 to enter Portugal for 90 days for a scientific research upon an invitation by a university in Portugal. It is now almost 70 days and I have not heard from the embassy. My documents are still with them. I called the embassy two times and I was told to make inquiry through email. I have mailed three times, no response. The international relations unit of the university in Portugal also recently sent email to the embassy but I have still not get any feedback from the embassy. What could be going on? It is everywhere on their websites that decision would be taken on a short stay visa within 60 days maximum. Mine is already more than 60 days. ......What could be wrong?
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 4:23pm On Oct 21, 2022
is it a Study Visa? Masters or Bachelor?

Do you have contact with any of the people you submitted the same day? This will help you.

I know 3 people that have received their visa within this 1month application suspension.

The embassy is actually working, still collecting documents for verification of Documents, Legalization.

Did you submit at the VFS or embassy?

oseremenifidon:
I understand Portuguese embassy in Abuja is closed and not attending to applications
What I don't understand is why they are holding on to those who have applied earlier on documents for these long.
When is not as if the visa is guaranteed.
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 6:28pm On Oct 20, 2022

qtguru:

TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 7:05pm On Oct 19, 2022

Let's see what happens tomorrow

Tbaby17:

TravelRe: Royal Air Maroc. Any Contact Info by vibrant99(m): 1:03pm On Oct 16, 2022
This is a serious allegation but as long as it’s out naija people , Una fit do anything for this life !
I can not even vouch for a Nigerians on travel issues

Savicog:
Royal Airmaroc is a nightmare especially at transit in Casablanca airport. Those racists immigration officers stopped my flight to Amsterdam 2 months ago claiming that my Nigerian international passport is fake. Just imagine that! The same passport that has my Europe residence permit and I flew into Nigeria with it. Sadly enough they seized it and returned me back to Nigeria. And I'm still stranded here in Nigeria waiting for them to return my passport to Nigeria immigration Service (NIS). Does anyone know what I can do? I'm really fed up wasting my time here.
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m):
Visa Processing will resume on the 18th of October.

It could have been for some form of maintenance or managerial reasons, It Absolutely has nothing to do with Nigerians or anything.

Happen in August 2020, June 2020,... Doesn't exceed a 30days gap before resumption

kimoyo:
This vlog was posted about 3 weeks ago. Visa processing of any type has been suspended for now
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 12:46pm On Oct 07, 2022
All this is done electronically, that's all.

they send you the document into the cloud and its reviewed, by the Nigerian Portugal embassy and approved by Portugal country itself.

So basically, its Naija Portugal consulate, everything dey their hand.

oseremenifidon:
The last mail i got from the embassy when i emailed them about delay in tourist visa is this!
Embassy of Portugal presents its compliments and informs that it is Portugal that grants or denies Visa and when the Embassy receives the answer, the applicant will be contacted.
My question is this!
Is it Portugal that grants visa or the embassy of Portugal?

your records there .

qtguru:

oseremenifidon:
I have applied for a schengen visa since 6th of September and this is 5th of October, yet haven't heard anything from Portuguese embassy. What could be the issue?
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 3:52pm On Oct 03, 2022
It's reasonably cheap, even in Lisbon you can see shared rooms for about 100-200 Euros.....Monthly

In Portugal, try to save and save because there is lots of life and people to make you squander it!

holluwadre:
Lol no, i mean a job offer. I am just trying to know what the housing is like in portugal and the cost of living
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 3:47pm On Oct 03, 2022
The truth is, Have a Positive mindset, Anywhere you find yourself apart from your home country is like "a Rat in a Hole". The way out is to first adjust yourself and acclimatize to the environment, As a Nigerian, there are prospects everywhere we go.... the good thing is you can actually create a job in Portugal, the Economy isn't very fat there but you will earn considerably well and take care of your family even if they move with them!
You can stay in Prtugal or Move from Portugal to anywhere else in the world, there is no "food is ready" anywhere you go, even in the USA!

Remain positive, Portugal is a very wonderful place to be, ....

starz100:
@vibrant please what is the job prospect for phd student in Portugal both while schooling and after complition of the program. Is it worth leaving once job here in Nigeria for such studies.?
Or would you prefer a Masters in science program instead of a phd in education course
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 3:40pm On Oct 03, 2022
Tne embassy is not closed.

qtguru:
They said the Portugal embassy is closed in Nigeria, I am thinking of applying from Mauritius.
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 3:41pm On Oct 01, 2022
Which school?

Start ur verification very immediately...

which Course ? which level? Master or bachelor's? which university did you finish in Nigeria if any?

holluwadre:
Hello i just recently got an offer at portugal also, if you dont mind i like to connect with you
TravelRe: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by vibrant99(m): 6:40pm On Sep 30, 2022
How information is given also determines its effect on the hearer.

The embassy postponed the study visa application to 16Th October when people can start submitting again.

It's nothing to worry about, Most classes have started in Portugal, and any other students are either trying to have their Results verified or would be out on time to meet up with the time the Applications resume.

The embassy is a Mini type and slim workforce, It can't handle 100 applications at once talking more, and by October there will be far fewer applicants for study, meaning your visa could take far less time.
TravelRe: My Plan To Relocate To Uk by vibrant99(m): 7:20pm On Sep 22, 2022
Going to the UK is a beautiful Idea, But earning 1.5M here monthly and fueling generator and bad road and crazy life are far far ahead of living in the UK and doing odd jobs that you cannot collect 1M for in Nigeria. it's just a Mentality.

500k Monthly salary in Naija, U are large!

But if an abroad dey hungry you, it just a decision.... work work work and earn money, convert it and hope to come back to Oppress the Nigerians, nothing more!

Pesbest:
Do they allow a married student to move with his or her family at first (and if the primary applicant can show sufficient proof of funds)huh

PhD is very Cheap in Portugal...... less than 2 Million Yearly

4 years and if you stay 5 Years in Portugal you will apply for residence ...

Ph.D. is a great way to head there, don't always be looking for a scholarship for everything, look at the prospect.

Pesbest:
How is PhD admission process like in Portugal?

Which of the cities is best for a PhD student with family?

Are PhD in STEM courses in Portugal fully funded??

Which of the cities in Portugal are best for raising a family?

TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by vibrant99(m): 2:25pm On Jun 11, 2022
You strength dey reply,

The only place with less visa applicants now is USA
Easternheart:
You can not compare 2004 to now. The number of applicants now is far more than before.
TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by vibrant99(m): 1:56pm On Jun 04, 2022
Nigerians are like sugar Ants, we follow ourselves without asking questions, why am I following?

it was once the US, even then the UK was only for the northerners, then Canada, and now its DUBAI.

during this time, people were still taking China, Bangladesh, French, and very odd country Visas for Japa, there was even a woman who have a blog for Portugal-Japa!!

someone said what if I don't get a job in Norway after studying? is there a guarantee for a Job in the UK professionally?

My end-point is, why not go where people don't go? My cousin left for Poland when he was 19yrs old (2004), He lived in Poland after doing BSc, MSc, and eventually, he has their Passport, He always talked about how he was the only black guy in his class and got favors from the lecturers and professors, .... Today he is a Professor of Human Anatomy, with a Polish Passport, he can go anywhere in the world he deems necessary, But Nigerians will sit in their rooms and just want a ready-made life out there and wants to just go and fit in and make it...
