give yourself time and relax. Marriage comes with its up and downs. Have a talk with your wife and try to exclude others from it. If she could be transferred to your state to foster the union. She loves you, that's why she ran back to you. Make her happy and one way to do that, is by making her pregnant (you know age is not on her side, that alone could make her aggressive and stubborn). If she is worth fighting for, pls move for peace.

I had a close shave ….near death experience on Kuramo Beach in 2007.


I was swimming in the sea, trying to avoid the urine, sperm, menses and other biological fluids of other swimmers



I swam further out in the sea.... I imagined I was swimming with Michael Phelps for Olympic trials.


I looked towards the beach and I heard people screaming

Suddenly I realized I was all alone, all the beautiful colorful fishes had disappeared.


Everyone was screaming because a dark shadow had emerged. Immense and foreboding had silently risen from the ocean floor


I must confess. I peed on myself, I am not ashamed to admit. I might have passed solid waste as well.

I panicked and gulped a stomach full of salt water. Rookie mistake!


I remembered my sweet mum and I thought : "so I would never see Mama again?"

Her face gave me the strength and I headed for the shore...

The shark's head grazed lightly around my ankles and then knocked me off balance with moderate force.

It seemed as if it wanted to toy with me a bit before eating me for lunch

I stroked furiously towards land but with each stroke, it seemed as if my legs were weighted with pure iron and the shark rapidly closed the distance between us.

I saw its immense black body coming rapidly at me ….200km/second

I saw it's cruel beady eyes looking directly at me, probably thinking of how juicy a snack I would be

It opened its jaws and I saw at least 120 evil looking razor sharp teeth as if it wanted to take a selfie

That was a split second before I felt the most excruciating pain you could ever imagine.

The sea turned from blue to RED I am VERY sure it wasn't because of MOSES

The shark had clamped on half of my torso. It was trying to chomp down and bite me into 2. But its teeth were stuck in my rib-cage.

It took me high up, above the surface like a prize. The crowd at the beach cried out as one like they were singing the chorus of a song.

It shook me from side to side like a big giant dog.

Though I was already weak from blood loss, I drew my left hand back and punched its snout with all my strength.


The shark bellowed ! It was a guttural, spine-chilling, otherworldly sound that resonated through the water

I had the advantage it seemed. My ribcage were like toothpicks wedged in its jaws so it limited the ability to bite which worked to my favour

I had the momentum! I punched as hard as I could ; its snout, I poked the gills and it thrashed around in pain.

Suddenly a huge wave came and descended on us both; millions of gallons of water pushing us downwards and towards the direction of the beach.


On the way down, I saw in a flash, one single evil beady eye looking at me with hate & intent :


"You snack, why can't you just die and be eaten" I am sure it was saying.


In one last desperate effort, I jammed my hand to mid fore-arm into that eye!


PLEASE, I don't want to recall that cry of anguish and pain.


It was in such pain that it probably wanted to get rid of me quickly. In the frenzy, I had already gotten loose.

I quickly tried to swim towards the shore, the wounded shark in pursuit.....

Have you read about Frank William Abagnale Jr. ? While he was young (15-25), he was a con artist, in fact 419 as Nigerians would say. He forged plenty cheques and would cash them. He was so smart that he deceived people to believe what he was not. Today, he would claim a lawyer and will go to the court, he would claim a doctor and perform some doctor jobs etc and would do well There was nothing he couldnt do. When he was caught or I guess, he gave himself up to the police. While in prison, he helped the police to detect plenty fake cheques that the FBI had to release him from jail with a condition that he would work with them to identify fraudulent cheques and catch thieves. He consulted for many institutions and identify grey areas in their security systems. Million of dollars were saved because of him and many thieves were caught due to him. Some people would say, he is a snitch.lol. My dear friend, if that guy were to a Nigerian, he would have died with his talents in the prison.
It is high time that Nigerian government and other private institutions create a platform to attract innovative minds. Thank you.

Hello Nairalanders, My girlfriend of two years broke up with me. She broke up with me because of my financial situation right now.

I have been struggling for like 5 months now then she started acting weird and calling me names. The whole thing started when a guy I don't know bought her an iPhone last month. She lied she got it herself which I know is not true. We fought, argued then she went on to block me on WhatsApp.

After begging her for a month she later unblocked me and started posting pictures of different guys with love emoticons. Then she started asking for money everyday. I told her I would give her if I see her in person that I haven't even set my eyes on her for like 2 months.

She has has been avoiding me but asking me for money. Then Started saying She knew I would never gets out of this broke-ness. She told me I am addicted to brokeness that I can never make it in life. The same girl I pay part of her third year school fee, I paid her final year school when their school payment portal was almost closed, I sold my expensive iPhone and some other gadgets for a very shameful price. I once did everything any guy would do for a girlfriend. I used to spoil her with everything when I have money. I've bought her phone twice, Take care of her school bills time to time. Use my things to loan money to send money to her. I did some stupid things just to satisfy this girl.

After everything she told me I did nothing for her that I am addicted to poverty that they told her I'm destined to be poor. She text all sorts of terrible things and insulted my parents that's when I slammed her with some crazy text back (My parents? No No I won't take that shi.t).

This girl I lose my everything just to make her happy. Worst of it is that I am at the most toughest time of my life now. Last week I lose almost a million, I am still healing from that. Her words are affecting me mentally. I adore this girl because she was once a nice and good girl any guy would want to date in fact to be honest, she is the most beautiful girl I've ever meet all my life.

She believes her beauty can get her anything. Please Nairalanders how can I forget this girl and her words totally. Those words are really affecting me mentally, I am losing hope. Please how can I erase everything from my head. I'm frustrated and depressed
