Omonieme: And, this is why I laugh whenever people claim the 2019 elections were rigged and why Atiku's comical case of an Inec server where he won will still always baffle me. Like dude, you lost your polling unit, narrowly won ur state with less than 2 percent and the elections generally followed predicted trends. There's no where Atiku ought to have won that he didn't win. Core north, Buhari won as predicted. I was actually surprised by the low margin of victory Buhari recorded in the SW. And yet they thought Atiku won. Lol. Someone who stayed on the queue, his own people saw him and still didn't vote for him. How's that possible sef? Me, I'll win my polling unit in any election I'm standing for. And as for Kwankwaso, that one na another noise maker. Someone who as the incumbent senator lost his senatorial election thinks he stands a chance for presidency. what are you saying?? Kwankwaso didn't contest for senatorial seat in 2019 nah... It was in 2015 when he joined APC that he contested and won. In 2018, ahead of 2019, he came back to PDP and sponsored his political mentee who's also his in-law for jano governorship election and almost won an incumbent. He didn't contest for any seat in that election, you can go and check. He only contested for presidential primary but he lost to Atiku. |

Megabig: He lost his own booth to an opponent that is not from his booth or even local government. How una de take defend people sef. Haba Abeg ask am ooo. If kwankwaso was given this PDP Presidential ticket, by now he would be writing his inaugural speech because it will be a landslide victory for him. Atiku is politically a liability, he only used his money to by ticket. If not because of Christians voters in adamawa that voted for him in mass, Buhari would have disgraced him in his own state. Go and look at the result, it was the bulk of votes from the christian dominated area of adamawa that gave him a slight edge against buhari. Look at the havoc Obi wrecked against buhari in the eastern region, even when it was clear the Eastern governors were against him. In Anambra alone, buhari had just 1% of the total votes cast. Obi secored 590k against 50k that buhari got, it shows how strong you are. The then governor of Anambra, Obiano collapsed APGA structure to support Buhari due to the rift he has with Obi, still obi was able to muscle all of them and secured 99% votes in the state. Infact, Obiano released a secular before that election, mandating all the civil servants of the state to vote APC or stand a chance of losing their jobs. I won't be surprised if he loses North to Tinubu. |

I watched the interview Atiku granted to the Arise news, Atiku was being over confidence and delusional. Obi has more electoral value than him by far. Even kwankwaso has more electoral value than him. Only a few politicians in Nigeria today than can move to an unknown party with his followers and rekindled it to become a major force.
Those people are Obi, kwankwaso and Buhari. No other person can do it. Atiku and Tinubu are only banking on already established structures of the party. When Atiku contested under ACN, how much votes did he garner?? Somebody that lost in his polling unit in 2019 to his buhari was mocking a serious force that polled millions of votes for him from his region. It was because of Obi Osibanjo lost in his own polling unit there in Lagos. if not because of southern votes obi polled for him, buhari would have messed him up in that election. Oya let's see how he will perform in 2023 even with his PDP established structures without Obi.

That was how he was very boastful in the recent Osun election, he was still confident even when the results had started trickling in, same thing he did in Anambra, he was deceived by various defections into APC thinking that it will translate to votes, we were telling him that in my place, politicians do not sway voters except the masses are with you, but once you lose that goodwill of the people, it will be suicidal for that politician. fergie001: The younger Umahi scored 279 and the woman scored 5 votes. Since the younger Umahi withdrew, it leaves only one person on the ticket. So, even the re-run will only involve one person.
The case of Tambuwal and Bala's are different because they made sure, they were the only candidates hence only an aspirant who participated in the Primaries can go to Court. If they had rivals, they will also face same music. The woman (Agom-Eze Nwanyibuife Ann) was pressured to step down because she belongs to a rival faction to Umahi's but she refused. She is based in Lagos here.
Tribunal can't entertain same because it is a pre-election suit, only the FHC can. The judgement won't be set aside because the said woman didn't withdraw.
Nope, only a PDP person who participated in the Primary. Unfortunately, Bala was the sole candidate.
SOURCE Guy, you are just brilliant. I wonder why people find it difficult to understand common law. So sad!! Only the people who participated in an election reserve the locus standi to challenge the process of that election. |

Politics › 2023: Ann Agom-Eze Defeats Umahi To Clinch APC Ebonyi South Senatorial Ticket by vicdom(op): 7:01pm On Jul 22, 2022 |
The lingering contention as to who was suitablly qualified as the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, for Ebonyi South Senatorial District of Ebonyi State, in the 2023 general election, has been laid to rest following the Federal High Court ruling on the matter in Abakaliki, Friday.
The candidate, Ann Agom-eze defeated Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State as the Court ruling favoured her against all odds.
Recall that she came second in the APC senatorial primary election for Ebonyi South Zone, which was conducted in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, as Governor David Umahi’s younger brother, Austin Umahi came first.
Austin Umahi withdrew from the election and relinquished the ticket to Engr David Umahi even as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC frowned at the development and omitted Engr Umahi’s name from their published list of candidates for the 2023 general election.
Vanguard reliably gathered that INEC never monitored the rerun exercise, which purportedly announced Engr. Umahi as the candidate of APC for Ebonyi South Senatorial district, come 2023.
Engr. David Umahi went to the Federal High Court in Abakaliki, through his counsel, Roy Nweze Umahi, to seek an order of court for INEC to publish his name as senatorial candidate for Ebonyi South zone even as Ann Agom-eze also applied to be joined in the suit.
Delivering the landmark judgment, Justice Fatun Riman cited section 115 of the Electoral Act, which forbids a person from standing two different primary elections in the same year.
He said in his judgment, that such a person, if found claiming to have participated in two primary elections risks a two year jail term.
He further affirmed that the authentic Senatorial candidate for Ebonyi South zone of the APC was Mrs Ann Agom-eze, since Mr. Austin Umahi withdrew from the race.
According to him, if Engr. David Umahi files an appeal, he stands to gain two years jail bounty. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/07/2023-ann-agom-eze-defeats-umahi-to-clinch-apc-ebonyi-south-senatorial-ticket/

[b]You should note and know the following:
1. No manual accreditation.
2. No use of incident forms.
3. All accreditation is electronic.
4. Accreditation is Bimodal meaning facial recognition and fingerprinting.
5. No pre-election cases after the conclusion of Elections..
6. No election cases after swearing into office of the winner.
7. All results must be uploaded to INEC official website at the polling units before taking it to the ward, constituency,LGA or state collation center.
8. If the number of votes cast is more than the accredited voters the polling unit result is cancelled.
9. No more agreement between parties to share the remaining ballot papers that were not used.
10. No more massive thumb printing and stuffing of ballot boxes. If you like to go and steal ballot boxes you are wasting your time. You cannot change the result.
The people's votes are counting now. If you didn't serve the people well when in public office or you are not popular (i.e the people interest centred). If you fail to work in your constituency and rely on rigging, you are wasting your time .

Atiku will win sokoto narrowly.he night win kebbi narrowly.zamfara is tinubu, katsina too.kano is nnpp followed by tinubu.jigawa is tinubu.Kaduna will be divided so you see,its tinubu. SW is only sure for Tinubu now. I wish we could stake on bet on that. It's just like saying because there's PDP strong presence in the east means Atiku will win Obi in the east. Let me tell you something, this election will be largely be determined by ethnicity and religion. Atiku and Kwankwaso will overrun Tinubu in the North, ge won't even come close. it's just like saying because Osun and Oyo have PDP governors now means that Atiku will win there, no matter what, Tinubu will win all the 6 SW states. Atiku will win the majority votes cast in the northern region. If you are so confident, let's stake 200k bet on that. If Tinubu wins Atiku in the North even if by 1 vote, you take the 200k, otherwise, I will take your 200k. APC thought that what happened in Kaduna governorship election 2019 when El rufai picked a Muslim deputy to whip the sentiment of religion. Muslims saw it as a religious contest, that's why majority of Muslims voted in his favor and he won. But it has appeared that what APC bargained before flying Muslim Muslim ticket is no happening. Politics › APC Dismisses Amaechi’s Rumoured Exit As Magnus Abe Dumps Party by vicdom(op): 4:50pm On Jul 20, 2022 |
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship aspirant, Senator Magnus Abe, has announced his exit from the ruling party.
Senator Magnus Abe, who represented Rivers South-East senatorial district in the National Assembly until 2019, disclosed his withdrawal of the party’s membership to Channels Television on Wednesday.
Amid the crisis in the Rivers State chapter of the party, he explained that he has left the party to achieve his political ambition elsewhere.
Senator Abe has, for a long time, been at loggerheads with the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, over the leadership of the APC in the state.
Following his exit from the party, he, however, declined to reveal what political party he intends to join.
The governorship hopeful also clarified that he did not submit a formal resignation letter to inform the party’s leadership of his exit.
He explained that according to the APC Constitution, the affiliation of any member is terminated once such an individual joins another political party.
Still In APC A good number of party men, including the chairman of its reconciliatory committee, governorship aspirants, former public officeholders, local government, and ward executives, have been exiting the APC in Rivers in the past month.
There are also fears of further cracks in the party which is struggling to mend fences after the internal crisis which denied it a spot on the ballot in the last elections in the state.
Reacting to the latest development, the leadership of the APC in the state said Senator Abe’s exit did not come as a surprise to them.
The APC Publicity Secretary in Rivers, Chris Finebone, at a media briefing in Port Harcourt described the exit of the former lawmaker and his associates as “a successful excision of debilitating cancer from the body”.
He believes the APC in Rivers can now heave a sigh of relief from the ‘sustained destabilising onslaught’ allegedly by Senator Abe and his followers.
Finebone, however, disclosed that the party was making efforts to reconcile its members to halt the recent mass defections that hit the party, especially from the faction led by the former transportation minister which he described as the mainstream APC.
He also dismissed reports that Amaechi has resigned from the party. https://www.channelstv.com/2022/07/20/apc-dismisses-amaechis-rumoured-exit-as-magnus-abe-dumps-party/

Politics › South-west Population 65% Muslims – Tinubu Campaign DG by vicdom(op): 8:10pm On Jul 19, 2022 |
The Director General of Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation, Adebayo Shittu, has claimed that Muslims make up 65% of the southwestern part of Nigeria.
He made this assertion in an interview on AIT, during the Focus Nigeria show, on Tuesday.
Shittu was justifying the decision of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, to pick a fellow Muslim, Kashim Shettima, as his running mate.
Tinubu, who is a southern Muslim, had incurred the wrath of the Christian Association of Nigerian, some party members and political stakeholders when he announced Shettima as his running mate.
Justifying his principal’s choice, Shittu maintained that southwestern Nigerians were predominantly Muslims.
“In the South-West of Nigeria, the Muslims constitute an average of 65%,” of the population, the lawyer asserted.
When asked if his claim was based on fact or projection, he said, “I don’t tell lies. You can investigate. Do your research.”
He added, “It is on the basis of religion that people are making noise about the so-called Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“In Ekiti, it is Christian-Christian ticket. In Ondo, it is Christian-Christian ticket. In Edo, where the Northern part of the state is largely Muslim, it is Christian-Christian ticket. Nobody is making noise about this.”
Also speaking on the APC’s loss in the Osun State governorship poll, Shittu noted that the defeat of the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola, was a very big disappointment.
The former Minister of Communications said, “The Osun incident was a very big disappointment. But for some of us, it was not too surprising and I regret to say this.
“A lot of factors must have contributed to what happened.”
On Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
The Returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, said Adeleke got a total of 403,371 votes to beat Governor Oyetola who polled 375,027 votes in the keenly contested race. https://lm.?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpunchng.com%2Fmuslims-make-up-65-of-south-west-tinubus-aide%2F%3Futm_term%3DAutofeed%26utm_medium%3DSocial%26utm_source%3DFacebook%23Echobox%3D1658256072&h=AT2vA4eSHU9P8LEYwVQF4g5j9Tg8OnrYvi8q7E6cCxTVGdVAEgzDMfE-JeDZqLbCn2Bm0fBXUscyF74uAuRNJ86tMP-MVaKMcjEae9ArlAf-ocuue5wm8Drq0Hha6nhk-DKRv_nqhWN-rkzp6bRlIus

Politics › Tweeps Welcome Oyetola’s Defeat, Say Uzodimma Is Next by vicdom(op): 8:29pm On Jul 17, 2022 |
Nigerians on Twitter have stated that the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, will be the next governor to rule a state for just one-term.
This is as the Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, lost the election to the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in the election held on Saturday.
Oyetola, who came into power in 2018, polled 375,027 votes against Adeleke, who had 403,371 votes in the just-concluded election.
Adeleke had won the Osun State elections in 2018 against Oyetola but following a rerun of the elections, Oyetola was declared winner.
Despite protesting his loss at a tribunal, Oyetola was still upheld as the winner with a margin of less than 500 votes.
Just like Oyetola, Uzodimma was declared governor of Imo in 2020 by the Supreme court despite coming fourth in the 2019 state election.
According to the tweeps, Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress, will be voted out in the coming election in Imo State.
A tweep,@oswald_philemon, said, “Osun: Gov.Hope Uzodimma should be bracing up to leave, come next election”
Another tweep, identified as @mecca000000, said, “Uzodimma of Imo state that must be voted out of the government house. It’s cleanup time.”
“Hope Uzodinma is next to join Oyetola as a one-term Governor.Every stolen mandate the people shall reclaim. There is hope for ndi Imo state,” @trueimageng tweeted.
“Dear Imo state, when election reach, please un-sit HOPE UZODINMA. #OsunDecides2022,” @chibueze_nwaka pleaded.
@marx_onyeka said, “Next is Hope Uzodinma — he will be disgraced out of the Imo state government house!”
“Please, deliverance is highly needed in Imo state. Hope Uzodinma has been a bad leader and never for once, guided in the right path as his name supposedly means. It is time for every bad government to evacuate and let the competent individua(s) do the job of the people. Selah!” @ruccified tweeted.
Listing some other governors to be removed, @Torholu tweeted, “The people seem to have increased the standard of governance. Oyetola – out
“The following Governors and their parties should be next in line to be kicked out:
“Dapo Abiodun, Ogun State; Okezie Ikpeazu, Abia State; Hope Uzodimma, Imo State; Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo State.”
However, @laviv418 declared support for Uzodimma, saying, “First win after a long time for PDP and they are already gloating all trending that Hope Uzodinma will be next.
“Need I remind them that APC won all the 3 elections in Imo since his tenure. The statement said that due to the volatile nature of items such as ethnicity and religion in the national discourse, it was agreed that such would not be included in the census questionnaires.
The commission called on Nigerians to disregard fake and misleading messages, urging the general public to cooperate with enumerators to ensure a successful trial census exercise.
The statement read: “The attention of the National Population Commission has been drawn to a misleading WhatsApp message which claimed that the next Population and Housing Census will canvass questions on religion. The message alleged that there are some parts (of the questionnaire) where respondents are required to tick their religion however, Islamic religion has been divided into (sects) while Christianity has not, the objective, as alleged, is to show that Muslims are small in the country.
“The fabricated message urged Muslims in Nigeria to see the population census as a tool to suppress them and their faith through the reduction of their numerical strength and to resist any attempt to divide the religion of Islam by refusing to answer any question on religion.
“A fact check on the origin of the purported message shows that it was first circulated in Ghana during its last population census exercise. The circulation of the message few days into the conduct of the current trial census fieldwork nationwide is deliberately timed to sow disaffection among the major religious groups in the country.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the 2023 Census and the ongoing trial census, like previous censuses of 1991 and 2006, have no questions on religion and ethnicity. This decision was reached after extensive consultation with stakeholders taking into consideration the sensitive nature of these two issues in Nigeria. Religion and ethnicity, unarguably, are important indices in the demographics of any country.
“But due to the volatile nature of these items in our national discourse, it was agreed that religion and ethnicity should not be included in the Census questionnaire in order to insulate the census process and outcomes from unnecessary controversies.
“The Commission calls on all to disregard the fake and misleading message which is clearly the antics of mischief makers. We urge the general public to cooperate with our enumerators to ensure a successful Trial Census exercise in our quest to deliver to the country a credible, reliable and acceptable census.

Politics › 2023: We’ll Propagate, Ensure Atiku Emerges Next President – Northern Youths by vicdom(op): 12:42pm On Jul 17, 2022 |
Youths across the 19 Northern states have vowed to propagate the leadership qualities of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, as well as agitate and ensure he wins in the 2023 general election.
They made the vow at the inauguration of 19 State Coordinators of the ‘Northern Youth Coalition For Atiku and Okowa 2023’ in Abuja on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Suleiman Ibrahim Kuta, the National Coordinator of the group said Atiku has the blueprint to redirect the economy, tackle insecurity and pilot the country back to its glorious days.
He explained, “The 2023 general election, unlike any other, is an election in which we can’t afford any mistakes because our survival as a people and as a nation depends on it.
“This is why we the Northern youths have taken it upon ourselves to not just identify the right candidate, but to also agitate, propagate and ensure that the right candidate emerges as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“After careful assessment, a decision was made based on factors such as fear of God, personal charisma, intelligence, experience, patriotism, inclusiveness and reputation.
“Only one candidate has all these qualities and that candidate is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCFR, (Wazirin Adamawa).
“Our decision is motivated by the fact that the country is at a very trying moment and there is an urgent need for a paradigm shift. As young Nigerians, we want to witness a working Nigeria, flourishing in unity, peace and progress.
“Atiku Abubakar is a man that would redirect our economy, he has the capability to tackle insecurity and corruption.
“He is named the ‘Unifier’ because of his reputation of being unbiased and always fair in his judgment which are perfect qualities needed to tackle the current insecurity and disunity raging our great country.”
Kuta assured that the organisation would not relent in its pursuit of good governance laced in fairness and equity.
“We are dedicated, we are determined and we are deliberate in our quest of ensuring good governance from May, 2023. We have a vision and mission of making sure we contribute our quota towards the actualisation of their Excellencies, Atiku and Okowa as President and Vice President, respectively.
“Our representatives from the 19 states and the FCT are here to strategise and map out an action plan that will carry our message to all the nook and cranny of our region,” he said.
The National Coordinator added that the membership of the group includes both male and female genders to have a perfect representation and balance for inclusiveness and wider reach. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/07/2023-well-agitate-propagate-ensure-atiku-emerges-next-president-northern-youths/

Lemme tell you something, Atiku will win the whole northern region comfortably, even PDP will win ss as well, although with neck to neck contest with Obi. But Atiku will take the majority votes from the North region and take ss as well. Tinubu and APC will only win SW and will get reasonable votes in the NW. Guy, majority of the northerners I work with here in Lokoja, it's either Atiku or kwankwaso, but majority of them are for Atiku because they think he has the better chance, no one is mentioning Tinubu here oo. Tinubu and APC still need christian votes to emerge, I told you this thing before. |
