Goldie16:IVF is like a series of events Firstly there is total investigations to ascertain the cause of infertility (both couples) when all investigations are out, the patients are stratified depending on the mode of IVF (some will use their own eggs and sperms, for those that have low sperm count they will require ICSI, some will require donor eggs or donor sperm, there is also room for surrogacy). This depends of the various individuals, the cause of infertility and the best remedies. The patients are started up on hormonal drugs (which involves downregulation, agonist or antagonist protocols). Note: these treatments are patients specific. different people respond to these drugs differently During egg collections (oocyte retrievals) the patients are grouped into various batches. So that the oocyte retrievals are done for different batch everyday or every other day for a period of time, depending on the client response and cycle. The sperm is collected, prepared and used to fertilize the eggs. On the various days (3rd of 5th day) of Embryo Transfer, the embryos are transferred in batches and in days. so with the above very many patients will be attended to. There is also room for Sperm Freezing for couples who will like to use the sperm again for their next pregnancies. maybe in two or three years time. The above are some of the protocols by Maviscope Hospital and Fertility Centre, Benin City. they are really producing good results and the way patients are been carried along in the management up to delivery of the baby. The World and the Health care system is evolving and we should all evolve with it. There shall be none barren in the land. |

Surprisingly there is an increase in the male cause of Infertility to about 30%. We shouldn't leave our wives to wallow in the pain, shame and penury all alone. Be there for her all through her journey TTC. You might be surprised, you might just be the cause ( from azoospermia to aspermia and otherwise.) See a fertility doctor together and get evaluated today.... With the numerous and geometric increase in the diagnostic and therapeutic aspect of medicine, you can yet again smile after years of sorrow. The beauty of Assisted Pregnancy and Delivery. There shall be none barren in the land... #MaviscopeFertiltyCentre #IVF

Since the major cause is autoimmune, check for family history of any autoimmune disease (like Diabetes, Addisons disease) Just for cosmetic reasons and expecially age. But most times if it's vitiligo, the treatments are not always sudden. If it's on her face, then try applying make up. Who diagnosed her of vitiligo? Cos there are other skin conditions that can cause a hypopigmented skin. Use of corticosteroid creams, Use of vitamin B12, folate, carotene, vitamin D have found to be helpful. But it's a long term treatment. Vitiligo is actually an indication for bleaching especially for the Caucasians. But above all try and consult a Dermatologist. Incase u need one, I can be of help to direct u. Hope this helps. |
hagiosfemi:For number 3 questions Alot of things actually happen at the midshaft of the humerus. So gunshot to the midshaft of humerus will affect 1. Median nerve and brachial artery because the Median nerve crosses the brachial artery anteromedially. 2. Radial nerve and Profunda brachial artery because they run in the spiral groove of the humerus at the midshaft 3. Brachialis and coracobrachialis have proximal and distal attachment respectively at the midshaft so their actions would be impelled. Etc. |
