I'm actually considering making this matter also known to people who do not use the internet in Nigeria, and that includes, publishing it in the newspapers media. Please, i will appreciate suggestions of the appropriate newspaper companies. Anyone, please? I want to use this opportunity to thank all those who have stood behind me to encourage in the fighting of my case with the notorious UPS, and i wish to assure you that, though UPS would do anything shamefully in resistance, but i will fight it to the end and that nothing short of victory will i take out of this case. Thank you all!!! |
Before the law suit, the tracking number was working fine, which means, you could track and see the deceitful records that they had for the postage. But as soon as they heard from my solicitor, all that changed: The criminal minded UPS managements had immediately eliminated every trace and record of the transition from their website in an effort to conceal every evidence against them: and even the records that i saved in my computer documents have either become blank or they are unprintable. But little would they have expected that i already printed every needed documents and the tracer reports before my solicitors took the lawsuit action. Somehow i wonder if they thought they're dealing with a person who does not have computer with internet assess and a printer. Well, the fact is, if i did not print these documents before they made that move, the documents (even though they were saved in my computer) would have been print-protected, but fortunately, i had every document printed earlier: and to their shame, the bogus tracer report (which they did not want the court to see) suggested that the package already arrived Dublin before it got missing, contrary to their later claim that the package was intercepted by the NDLEA in Nigeria. See how low in mentality Nigerians are when it comes to business and costumers services, what western company would descend so low and take slanderous measures to tarnish their costumers in attempts to deny their responsibilities? Most reasonable people would duly compensate an offended costumer and even apologise after all in attempts to regain trust, but Nigerians, with their evil minds would do anything in their selfishness without giving a thought to the pains they make others suffer. |
Siena: OAM4J: osarodon: Given up is not an option, we've gone too far and are now on the verge of victory. Before i narrate the development, i like to say my opinion that, had it been i am dealing with the UPS in Ireland, the issue would have been concluded long ago, and we (my family and i) would have been paid a due compensation for our forfeited flight tickets and the lost holidays that we suffered due to UPS' failure. But what a shame it is for the UPS in Nigeria to have gone so low and made all sorts of slanderous accusations on their costumer in efforts to avoid justice: Previously, i wrote about how the UPS solicitors had made a false claim that the posted package was intercepted by the NDLEA officials who they claimed were attached to their branch in Lagos because, "the package contained cocaine" and therefore, they deny responsibility for its loss. My solicitors were expecting UPS to collaborate with some non-entities who would support their claims that the package was indeed seized by them for containing cocaine, and therefore, they had threatened to take legal action against the NDLEA as well. But it might not come to that as the NDLEA seems to deny any involvement with the package and its disappearance. Now, the case is still going on with UPS doing everything in their power to delay its progress, but trust me, we're equal (if not more than competent) to the task. The last they did was to demand that the case be referred to a Federal High Court in Lagos claiming that any case that involves drugs is supposed to be a Federal Case. But the High Court judge in Benin City had ruled that there is no evidence that the package ever contained drugs and he continued: ". . .in the absence of any such record by the NDLEA that the package contained drugs, i do not accept that there was ever any drug involved, and i reckon that this claim was apparently an afterthought by the UPS to excuse or deny their responsibilities even at the cost of according innocent citizens as drug peddlers. . ., i hereby dismiss the drug claims". The drug issue was the reason for the prolonged delays, our solicitors was fighting to clear that out of the way before we would then be eligible to make our claims for damages. Aside other delays, it took about 4 months between the date that the UPS requested that the case be transferred to Lagos and the date that the request was declined, and the drug claims were ruled out. And now that we have defeated UPS in that regard, we are optimistic that our compensations are probably a hearing or two away and we are now pressing charges on two ground: (1), for the lost package and the damages that we suffered as a result, and (2), for according us international drug peddlers. |
First, you were worrying that your "biometric" info might be needed again as expressed in this quote: enuose:, and now, you're concerned of the reference number system as quoted enuose:But why do you need to bother about "biometric" confirmation or Ref No identification, are you hiding something? |
AjanleKoko:Excellent observation, a lot of fliers have not yet known that airplanes are usually pulled (or towed) to make backward movement, but those who know about aircrafts are aware that most airplanes do not have reverse gears like land vehicles have. |
You really would not need the application form as they have the copy in their system, however, you are expected to have your own copy with you just to make their job a bit more easy. The application form should still be somewhere and could still be printed, but i would recommend that you ring the embassy and request what you need to do in this situation, there shouldn't be a problem at all; in the worst scenario, the confirmation code/number with the verification of your identity should do: your application can't be lost because you didn't print a copy of it |
Elochuk:Hey, you don't need to be this silly racist: you were desperate for a visa to go to their country, but having exhausted every avenue to no success, you now call them racist names for reason of their skin colour. The same you would be ranting and yelling "RACISTS,! RACISTS!! RACISTS!!!" if they call you the N word. This is absolutely silly! |
Though i see where the minister is coming from, but i still don't want to blame the foreign embassies for the treatments of Nigerians. Remember that an alarming percent of visa seekers in Nigeria are supposed to have no serious business with the embassy, this categories of applicants make it difficult to distinguish the appropriate visa applicants, and for this reason, all visa applicants are yoked and everyone is a suspect. |
kehneah:But where would the 41 million African Americans integrate into, Nigeria? EuroMeko:Perfect answer. |
enuose:The fund issue did not come up probably because the ECO has many other incontestable reasons to refuse the visa, so he needed not bother about the contestable ones. |
enuose:I didn't suggest that you're under a ban, i only wanted to warn you not to do something that would be storing up a 10 years ban for you Fogman:What are you implying here? Do you consider how much a return flight ticket costs and how much it costs to pay daily for a hotel? What about the costs of maintenance; what if he likes to do some shopping whilst in the UK? Man, you need to know that when Visa Officers use the term "adequate fund", they are not merely talking about having just enough money for the trip, they are puting all financial circumstances into consideration, and they are very well concerned about how the travel may affect the traveller's finance and how much money would be left for him when he returns to Nigeria; So, they would not normally issue a visa to a person whose life savings would be badly affected by a visit to the UK, in fact, they don't believe that such a person would even be returning to Nigeria which is indeed a logical thing. Well, you may go ahead and encourage him to apply for the visa if you want him to loss his money. But why do people have the habit of saying yes to every visa question, encouraging unprepared visa seekers to "put everything in the hand of God" even though it is obvious that only a silly Visa Officer would issue a visa to such applicant? |
frakie:So, what you would be telling the Visa Officer is that your "inlaw" is sponsoring you to the UK for the purpose of taking photographs of the queen's palace and taking a ride through the London bridge on a hop-in-hop-out tour bus? First of all, i don't see how you can get pass the ECO with this ridiculous arrangement, yet, to avoid getting yourself into trouble, do not use any document that your so called inlaw or whoever provides for you from any bank whatever as it's likely going to be a fake document that would get you banned from the UK |
Siena:This is one word that means all the repellent words that one can think of; you should be sued for this, Siena. |
enuose:This can't be true because, (except in some compelling circumstances,) you are not required to obtain a flight ticket in order to apply for a visa. Gone are the days when a visa applicant was required to "book a flight" before applying for a visa, but now-a-days almost every airline has now abolished that policy of booking (to make reservation) and has now implemented the booking and paying system; so, no normal embassy would demand a flight reservation as a requirement for a visa application. enuose:Except you were applying for a family visit visa or other visa categories that attracts the full rights of appeals otherwise, this move would only be as good as a time waster as your case has been decided and is closed. enuose:NO, there's supposed to be nothing like that unless you made your application subjective to such conditions, otherwise, i still don't believe that you understood the real reason for the refusal, and to make things clearer, it would be better if you provide the exact words in the refusal letter as written by the ECO. enuose:Well, i'm concerned about why it bothers you that you'd have to do the biometric again, is everything ok? I hope you're not storing up a 10 years ban for yourself. Now, to answer your question, YES, you're required to do the biometric each time you have a physical (not documentation) dealing with the UK embassy or immigration for verification purposes enuose:That's a pretty huge amount in Nigeria, but in the UK, it's less than £3.400. Now, this would raise a concern to the Visa Officer especially if he assumes that your flight, your hotel reservation and your maintenance costs are all coming from the sum; and the fact that you might not have any money to return to Nigeria for is highly questionable. Honestly, i'm of the opinion that you might even loss some part of the money to the embassy in this visa gamble. |
Hoodrat:You mean like the guy in these photos (that i took myself) at a tourist square in Barcelena ? Well, but the commentator is not from Norway, he definetely has got a north American accent.

gridtann:Oh yeah? So, you got a Greek R. Permit from the Oluwole consular and immigration centre in Nigeria, right? gridtann:Well, perhaps you need to consult a gynecologist to examine your womb and advise on the possibility of "giving birth over there" gridtann:The good news is, if however it becomes possible for you "to give birth over there" the miracle child would have (at least) the same R. Permit as you have. |

bolame:Yes, there are ways to make these trips, but sadly, you stand a pretty good chance of getting killed in the desert or drowning in the Mediterranean sea: and for you to make it alive, you'd most likely need a rescue by the European coast guards in order to set your foot on land again; therefore, this would mean that you'd arrive in Europe as a detainee or as a prisoner. You'd be harboured and be given good meals by the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders, and then (after you've been well fed and deemed fit to return home) you would be deported back to Nigeria. Is that what you want? I can understand why the desperation, but still what you have in mind hardly works for migration now-a-day: this is the sad truth |
1 WORLD:That makes much of a sense |
shakers:Definitely |
shakers:I totally disagree with this claim, an unused visa does not in anyway reduce one's chance for subsequent visa, rather it adds credit to his credibility as it becomes apparent that the passport holder is not a desperate would-be migrant and this places the holder in a better position than a person with a virgin passport. |
justwise:It is not "very slim" it is IMPOSSIBLE. justwise:What i wrote in this thread, i wrote consciously, not under any compelling or favouritism influence. So, i'm neither being compelled to write them nor am i promised 77 virgins , i'm not a Muslim ![]() |
1 WORLD:What do you mean by the highlighted statement? Are you claiming that a Nigerian with a south American tourist visa is eligible to apply for a Canadian or the US visa from the south American country? Except you're talking about illegal border crossing, this claim would be absolute ignorant from a Travel Agent: Man, don't disappoint me. |
suxes2005:Yes, it's one of the best replies in this thread. Why did you ask? |
pleep:Well, i used to have my pics on, but i became a victim of my own generosity as it became a basis for faceless people who would insult me with them: someone even boasted that she had saved my pictures and would be giving it to a voodoo priest for whatever silly reason. Not that i believe in these fetish things, but the fact that a Nairalander can even steal my pics for whatever evil intention is something abhorred, so, i withdrew them. Yet, you can still see my pics at: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-94557.0.html |
tigerpaws:I can understand why you or any other person would think of this. But to be honest, i'm not one who would take money or any other form of gratuity as a bribe to aid a scam, and beside, i don't 1-WORLD has such amount of money that would make me compromise my conscience and participate in a a travel scam; so, my taking side with him is an indication that i want to be fair in my judgement. . . |
justwise:Well, i have no answer for that, but i still want to give him the benefit of doubt though. justwise:He really didn't show his face, i did the google search with his name and eventually found his blog and his photo there-in, so i uploaded it. |
tigerpaws:It would be very ignorant of me not to realise your respect for me, and it is due to the fact that i know that you respect me that i have politely requested of you to show same respect to 1-WORLD. So, you're a respected person to me .tigerpaws:Your attached animation suggests you call him a thief, i know that you use that animation only when you suspect a scam or thievery |
Dear Tigerpaws, please, be respectful, it is demeaning to call him a thief, there is no need for that at all. Now, some people condemn him because he clearly states that he doesn't offer or promise any job to clients, this to me suggests that his targets are recreational traveller and tourists, not those would-be immigrants, this is not difficult to understand as not every traveller is migrating |
OYINBOGOJU:Japan? That is a very interesting place, maybe exotic to me as i can interestingly note that i've never really been to any Asian country, except the Asian part of Turkey beginning from the east of Istanbul. Well, i appreciate your promised reception and hospitality. ![]() So, how's life in Japan? |
