You seem to be a silent sufferer, and i think you and your wife are not having a good enough communication or else, she (no matter her age) should have understood you well enough.
Why don't you talk this thing with her, let her know your concerns, your displeasures and opinions about things regarding these issues.
RomanceRe: Loving The Wrong Person by Vicjustice: 9:51am On Aug 23, 2011
Let's not be selfish in our judgements on this matter; you need to realise that sometimes, you happen to be the wrong person for your partner, it's not always your partner that is the wrong person for you.

Lol, checkout Justwise fighting against himself.
But seriously, who is this failed individual (Justwise.) that has resorted to this impersonation?
Well, if no one has yet reported him, i just did that with this comment:
"This user, Justwise. is an impersonator pretending to be the known Justwise with apparent scamming intention"
TravelRe: Socialite Jumps Bail Flees to Nigeria! by Vicjustice: 6:28pm On Aug 22, 2011
Why did you generalise this matter as if it's an Igbo thing? You're smart enough to know that whatever crime that the man committed, someone from your own tribe could do the same: Besides, there's no evidence to indicate that the man in questing is even an Igbo man
TravelRe: 70 % Of Nigerians Overseas Are Igbos by Vicjustice: 12:31pm On Aug 22, 2011
kennybuda:
. . . there is no racial argument on this issue we are from the same race i see nothing bad for one to be proud of his own tribe. Had it being the igbos had a claim of BORN TO RULE as a symbol of a state in the north it could cause a whole year tribal war in nigeria. the yeruba should mind their buisness period
How long would Nigerians continue to be ignorant of the meaning of the word Race and keeping assuming that race has only got something to do with colours?
Are the Russians, the English, the Greeks, the Germans and the Spanish same race because they're all white?
   Definitely NOT.
Ask those who know about Anthropology and they will advise you that the Oduduwa descendants are a race of their own; so, the Igbos and the Yoruba are not the same race according to the secondary definition of RACE.
TravelRe: 70 % Of Nigerians Overseas Are Igbos by Vicjustice: 11:19am On Aug 22, 2011
kennybuda:
. . . so what are we talking about education countrys or not education countrys igbos are hard working people, i dont understand why people just keep on talking against igbos as if they are the coures of nigeria problems, when its comes to life abroad every tribe has its way hosiling the tribe that are best know of credit card fraud and how to arange fake document that is the yerubas, igbos trafick drugs, dont forget the prostitution state in nigeria. therefore people should stop hatred against igbos as if the igbos are the coures of nigeria problem home and abroad. call the police to arrest me period i don talk
Here you're ranting about people hating and having prejudice against the Igbos where as the majority of the racist or trabilistic comments are apparently from the Igbos themselves:
But why are the Igbos often seeking recognition as if they're a forgotten race, and yet so quick in claiming victims of discrimination?
This thread creator and whoever s/he is that was quoted in the original post obviously had ethnicism intentions to favour the Igbos and yet the same people are the ones making thenselves look victims of discrimination.
I wonder why the Igbos often like to put on a show as if they're in a competition with the Yorubas: there are obviously differences in the essential spirits of these two Nigerian ethnic heavyweights: while the Igbos would complain of racism or tribalism at every little provocation by any of Nigerian ethnic groups, you'd hardly hear a Yoruba person conceding to being a victim of discrimination by other Nigerians. Also, the Igbos would brag and boast of self achievement even if that means exaggeration, but you hardly hear that from the Yorubas.
Honestly, with neither bias nor fear or favour, i think the Igbos should fully realise that they are a heavyweight like the Hausas and the Yorubas and stop crying like a subdued ethnic minority.
Note: Like i said earlier, i'm neither Yoruba nor Igbo

The plane was not airbound, abi Toyota Hiace bus dey fly now? The fasten seat belt signs were on, those guys that check tickets was also in the plane (normally they leave when the plane is ready to taxi) and you are not allowed to use your phone when the plane is airborne anyway ( people go harass you if you do).
You're actually correct, the plane was still on the ground, but why then did that guy (at 0:20 soconds) say: "this plane will go down normal"?
TravelRe: 70 % Of Nigerians Overseas Are Igbos by Vicjustice: 6:52pm On Aug 21, 2011
Orikinla:
Do you know that 70 percent of 12 million Nigerians overseas are Igbos? And 30 percent of them are from Abia State. Moreover, these Nigerians abroad remit over N23 billion every year according to Dr. kalu Kalu Diogu, leader of the Abia State Indigenes in Diaspora and a past Chairman of World Igbo Congress (WIC).

Source: Nigerians Report
The Igbos are remarkably more in numbers in places like China, Greece, Spain, Portugal, (and arguably) Italy and Turkey, and as well in other countries where professional jobs are hardly utilised, but talking about countries that are known for education, countries where professional occupations count; there is no ethnic group in Nigeria that can compete with the Yorubas. So, whoever made that claim, let him come out and beat me to this challenge, and i'll prove him wrong.
Note: I'm neither Igbo nor Yoruba, so, i'm not being partial in my claims. Peace

Hi Peeps.
I applied for a UK Tourist visa and to my surprise my application was rejected.

Reason : I am not satisfied that your financial outlay on the proposed visit on the balance of probabilities will be maintained and accommodated in the UK without working or having recourse to public funds.

I stated in the visa application that i will be financing myself during my stay in UK, i presently work in one of the best paying Bank in the country, Letter of Introduction, Offer Letter, Statement of account with the sum of 1.03M as the Balance still this people refuse me visa.

Please candid advise should i appeal or Wait for 6 Months and Reapply?
Honestly, (considering the ratio of the Pound Sterling to the Naira,) the N1.3 million in your account is not the most excellent amount to represent the savings of a person who is applying for a 6 months visiting visa to the UK, but nevertheless, you should have been issued the visa on the basis of your monthly salary which isn't bad in Nigerian standard: and the Visa Officer should have taken into account that there's no normal person who would abandon such job in Nigeria and then become an illegal resident in the UK.
Now, i won't encourage you to apply for the visa straight away, you might need to build your savings as this is the issue raised: Do not borrow money for this course because, if you do, they will observe it (as money lodgement) and consider you a desperately dishonest applicant and a threat to immigration, and that may automatically be disqualifying you in future applications. That's not what you want.
Make good savings with traceable history keeping track with your wages and pay-advise, and then apply again in due time.

only God will help those folks. If there had a good system all those people would have been escorted off the plane as supposed to having people stand in the isle and yelling at each other. I wonder if that flight ever left that day
Actually, the plane was already airborne.
If i were the Pilot, i would return to the airport if i have such disruptive and angry passangers in mid air, who knows, they could cause a close circuit riot and endanger the plane

Nigerian accent, sexy in regard to what language?
I disagree with this: First of all, does one need to be reminded that different parts of Nigeria have different accents?
One may arguably claim that Nigerian accent is "sexy" in their native languages, but in spoken English, i'm sorry to say that Nigerian accents are not appealling: Most Nigerian are not even understood by foreigners (especially when speaking English to them on phone).

You are actually very very naive. You are expecting an 'agent' to get you original bank account with 15-20 million naira on it? What a nightmare u are having.
He's hoping for "an agent who has direct link to these people or bankers", such an agent who can use his/her "direct link" power to influence an arranged or forged bank statement document.

Thanks Siena for your Comment, i appropriate more reasonable posts please, but i belive there are Agent who have direct links to this people or Bankers.

This is a tough one, career switching, the cost of studying in the Uk and the job prospect are the main issues here. If the idea of 12months workplace is real then that could be an added advantage but Msc courses in the UK doesn't have workplace attached to it.

Looking at the situation of world economy as its today, i wouldn't invest that money into studying in the UK, its going to cost you at least £6millions in 18months, you could invest that money wisely in something else.
Man, that's a load of money, the figure is enough for the poster to build his own super university. grin cheesy

hello All,

I purchased a flight ticket to be used by tomorrow, but the issue is that i don't want to travel again. So house is there any one that would want to travel from Lagos to Enugu by tomorrow morning? i can sell my ticket to you at low cost. I bought the ticket close to twelve thousand naira(#12,000), can sell lower than that. Pls call me with this line if you are interseted 08053646952. I have only today to make any changes.

thanks.
Are you sure that the airline policy allows that? I'm just concerned with the fact that every airline that i'm familiar with does not allow that. But what about the name on the ticket, or is it like an ordinary bus ticket?

The prospect of employment is not something that anyone can guarantee, but if you want to know about the opportunities in these countries. then it is worthwhile to know that Finland, Sweden and Norway are three of the best countries in the whole world, not even the popular UK nor the US is a match to any of these countries in regards to the standard of living.

Sorry vicjustice, this one pass me - what did he say that was "offensive" in the video? To me it sounds like someone who is simply making his observations of Lagos and landing in Lagos. His target audience is highly unlikely to be majority Nigerians.

I think your thread has been incorrectly named. You probably should have said "what do you think of this commentary?" because the title it has will make people listen to the commentary with a bias from the outset.
Personally, i do not see anything wrong with the video nor the commentary itself, everything he said is correct if one has to be honest. And hey, i don't think the title of this thread is inappropriate, you seem to be ignoring the question mark, or doesn't it mean something to you?

You usually get bussed if you've flown a short haul flight and getting transferred at 'em airports.
This is very correct, i am an Airfrance customer or a fan (depending on how you look at at), and each time i'm travelling Dublin-Lagos, Lagos-Dublin, we usually get to board the planes by bus.
