I am from the south and a bonafide Christian, and a respected member of my family with voice. It would be natural for me to be drawn to President Goodluck Jonathan for reason of the things that we probably have in common as southerners. But however, i have carefully examined both Presidential candidates: current President Jonathan versus retired General Buhari, i have weighed the achievements and the potentialities of both men, and on the basis of fairness, i have decided that i will be voting for General Muhammadu Buhari, and i have managed to convinced every member of my family and friends to support the genuine General, who was obviously showing the work of a discipline president before his good goals were hampered by Gen. Babangida's coup.
I am not using this means to campaign on behalf of Ret. General Buhari, but rather, i am declaring my own decision which has now influenced my family to vote for the humble Fulani man to deliver Nigeria from the hand of Mr. Jonathan.
Please, look beyond religion, ethnicity, creed and region, and vote wisely.

I'm at a juncture where I really need advice on what to do.
I want to apply for a UK Family Visit Visa to visit my blood sister and her husband who are both British citizens.
I had previously applied and got rejected based on the following reasons:
1) The Examiner of my application felt my wanting to travel when my school at the time (in 2012) had accreditation issues, didn't make it believable that I intended to come back even though I still had final exams to take a few months after my planned return.
2) I did not submit my sister's birth certificate and they thought what I submitted wasn't substantial enough to prove that she was my sister.
After that application, my parents and brother applied for a UK Visa to witness the christening of their first grandchild the next year and got granted the visa, though this time a sworn affidavit of my sister's birth certificate was submitted amongst other things.
Now I want to apply so as to witness the christening of my sister's second child, The dilemma I face is I'm 23 and just switched jobs last month, my previous job (which i started 6 months back) had me paid 80k but the new job pays 130k, I have worked there for a month and I have told them i would be taking a 2 week leave late April so as to travel which has been granted in advance.
Although I am not the one sponsoring my trip, My sister is, I thought it is necessary to include my statement which has inflows and outflows for over a year, and i currently have a little under 200k saved in my acc.
I would like to know the following:
1) Is it appropriate to apply this month for the visa so as to give them enough time as i had been previously rejected although I wish to travel April?
2) What documents do I need to provide to improve my chances of been granted the visa?
3) What documents should my sister Provide to back up her sponsorship
4) How do I apply, as I found out it is now online based, and the visa office moved out of the oregun area recently.
I know these are a lot of questions but i would be glad if they are answered.

"when did you take up your current employment" or
"How long have you been in your current employment?"
What are you going to answer to these questions?
The answer to this alone is enough to get your refused.

Well, this can be done in various ways and it can carry whatever details that you wish to include. However, I suppose it is reasonable for it to reflect the balance in order to match the bank statement that it refers to.

You don't seem to have much issues with finance, the key to these answers is what you analysed on the "note".
So, i'd say just make the budgets according to what you think will be right, but be careful to not make any exaggerated budgets: i know people who got refused because they lavishly budgeted their expenditures in ways that suggested irresponsible extravagance.

Don't waste your money, i don't think you can succeed with a sponsor of this calibre as there is apparently no compelling reason why he is sponsoring you and nothing that he stands to gain from sponsoring you.

*Is there any reason that you are presenting a 3 months bank statement instead of the required 6 months statements?
*Of what relevance is your house rent and what purpose would the rent document serve?
*Flight reservation doesn't normally stay for more than 48 hours, so, how do you suppose your reservation to remain valid throughout the period of the visa application?
By the way, Flight Reservation or Ticket is not a requirement.

You would have stood a reasonable chance for reason of your profession, but in consideration of your financial circumstances, I doubt your application would be successful

I know what you nean, I had been there and had done it for several people before.
Now, in order for the silly online system to allow you to contunue, just write down any date (preferably in 2010) and proceed with the application: and at the end, add a note to explain any error or fault on this line:

"The date given regarding my previous US visa refusal may be inaccurate as the system would not proceed without filling in the required information, therefore, I declare that the date entered is not to the best of my knowledge."

Your job and salary can definitely get you through, but do not make the mistake of referring to her as your "sister" it will be seen as a lie and you could be refused on the basis of that.

Yes, you can travel with your business visa for "casual" or tourist visit provided that the main purpose of the visa (which is business) remains valid or that the purpose had been served: except your visa carries a remark that explicitly states that it is strictly for business only,
As for the length of time that it takes to process a tourist visa, that could take anything between 5 days to 4 weeks.
No, you are not required to provide letter of invitation except you are staying with them (in their accommodation), or they are the main purpose that you are visiting the UK: otherwise, hotel reservation would do.
And yes, you'd need a specific visa that would make you eligible to marry in the UK,: your visa must be longer than 6 months or, you must hold a permit that allows you to stay in the UK for more than six months (in a stretch) in order to be qualified to marry in the country.

Your question is not appropriate, you need to know the type of document and the duration of the visa, or permit, or leave-to-remain that he holds. His parents should be the best people to deal with this.

No, this will not affect your application especially if she is not the main reason that you are travelling to the UK. It is up to you whether you like to visit her or not.

It depends on whether it makes sense to give the figure or not, but in the case of any question that you think is not appropriate for children, you are allowed to write "N.A" or simply write the phrase "Details on Parent's form"

The truth @OP is that this Video tells one part of the Story. I have also seen Videos of Boko Haram slicing the truth of Soldiers and Civilians, and all of the Boko Hram members are dressed like the people being dealth by the Soldiers in this Video.

So until i know the full story, i am not ready to condemn these Soldiers putting their lives on the line.

These people were not armed nor were they caught in action, so, what investigative measures did the did soldiers carry out to verify that they are indeed members of Boko Haram?
