Vicjustice said earlier in this thread that a business or Company must be registered for over a year before one can apply for visit visa with it, I hope the system changes because by the time I'll apply for my visit visa my company/business registration is 6-7 months Old, but was running the business for over 3 years.
Sure, the system will change for you as an S.A.H., that is Special Applicant of Honour

Hello House,

@justwise @Vicjustice, i was granted a UK business visa last year for a business trip from Dec 1-5 which i ended up missing because my passport came back late to Teleperformance. I intend to use the same visa to visit family in the uk for 2 weeks.

My Question is Do i still tell them at the uk border that its a business trip or do i go ahead and say im visiting family even though its a business visa?

Thanks

This House played a major role in my getting the business visa in the first place.
It is allowed to use business visa for other travels that are not related to the purpose of the visa provided that the original purpose of the visa had been served, or is being served, or is going to be served. But in your case, the purpose of your visa had been forfeited, therefore, Immigration officers may cancel your visa at the port of entry.

Good afternoon house. Please I wanna ask question about the DS 160 form *US student visa stuff*. On the aspect of have you make a specific travel plan? Should I click no or yes? If I click yes, dey are oda info dey gona add like date of travelin, departure, who payin for ur trip etc. Please those of you that got US student visa pl tel me exactly how to answer dis part. I kn how you fill the ds 160 matter a lot. On d aspect of having relative in US I want to know if it is a redflag. I do have a sister *US citizen* and I intend sayin yes to d question of do you have any relative in the US. But what if they ask me in my interview if my sis is aware of my coming to US for study. What should I say? If I say yes, they might think we plan it already, if I say no it might luk as if am not serious. Am kinda stuck in this very stuff. NB. My sis is in eastcoast and my school is in westcoast *san franscisco*
I suppose that you are talking about Itinerary.
Well, you would have no business with the embassy if you don't have Itinerary (travel plans put in place), therefore, it is reasonable to have a scheduled travel plan before applying for a visa.
To your second question, having a sister in the US is not a factor of jeopardy except she is a troublesome character or she is considered a bad influence to anyone who is associated or related to her.
Denying her would mean using deception, and that would cost you a life ban from the USA.

By the way, you may write in this manner to your own pals, but to be honest, i don't appreciate a correspondence written in this manner.
I don't know how others see it, but to me, it is difficult to read and to understand.

Thanks for your very informative post, its been years now and its still going on. Wow! must be stressful answering all these questions.

I need to make an inquiry however, i am applying for a uk visitor's visa next month, its my first time and i have never traveled out of the country. I am applying for 6months because i feel it might be easier to get for me. My statement of account is not healthy or does not meet the requirements that you stated. My cash flow is not constant and in the last 6months sometimes i get 40,000 sometimes it shoots up to 180,000 naira in the account but thats it. i am 25 years old and i want to know if i can forget about my statement of account and just use my dad as sponsor. theres also a property that i am next of kin to. i need to know if these things count. I am a fashion designer. can i state such
you spoke breifly about the sponsor but i need to understand the sponsor part. i know you dont get paid for this so i will appreciate your candid advise. thanks
From your anaIysis, i can see that you very well understand that every aspect and question that you raised has been answered in the opening article, so, why are you asking me to re-write them?

Its me Again Mr VicJustice
I very crucial question only if you can't help me answer.
After a student visa refusal, can one change sponsor?

After reading your first page again, i noticed what you said about your a company account.
My co-sponsor gave me her company accounts and a company fixed deposit in her companies name.
can i remove her entirely from my next application and replacement my own finances and asset .
I.E Sponsor + My finance/asset or should i just include Sponsor + My Asset and finance + Co-Sponsor(Company acc /personal acc)

Help!!!!!
Are you serious?
If you really do need help, you would make your questions more comprehensible instead of writing in puzzles and expecting me to first unravel the puzzles before answering your question.

Thanks.
It won't look good if the embasy observes that the hotel has been cancelled, it could be seen as a deception.
I advice you to either withdraw your application or you contact the embassy to update them with the situation

Hello house, hope you're all fine and enjoying your valentines day, I have two questions that I hope justwise or vicjustice will respond to me

1) is Bank reference letter that important to put in a Tourist visa application?

2) my business is registered in less than a year ago, I'm yet to start paying tax, hence I don't have a tax clearance certificate but I have a tax identification number certificate, would the absence of TAC be a problem? Thank you, have a nice day all.
1) Though, it may be valuable, but it is not a requirement especially when the bank statement is comprehensive on its own.
2) It would be near impossible to get a visa (as a business owner) using your business documents without tax certificate because, in the absence of such, the Visa Officer will not be able to evaluate your business and to decide whether or not it satisfies the requirements.

In all fairness i actually see reason with @vicjustice. Thing is if one looks carefully through the thread i dare say its pretty explanatory on most of these questions being raised again.
ill give you two scenarios ok three.
in my own case i took time to read through the whole thread whilst getting my application set. Got all the required stuff and processes based on what i gathered from the thread. i was initially refused not cos i didnt get it right but cos the ECO actually was just being . . . let me not talk as it has been resolved.
Anyway when this was the case my cousin advised to get a lawyer who was in the uk to follow through the process of getting the decision changed and all that. i came back here while trying to do that and was advised by @Justwise on the issue even with the anger and all in me then, he still managed to keep a calm demeanor and encouraged me on the steps to take even when i came out sounding completely ignorant on some issues. You know what? i followed his counsel and voila i got the visa meanwhile the uk lawyer was still talking about handling God knows what and telling me what it would cost.

So heres my advice people, ive read loads of success stories on this thread and i myself am an example. i know its quite a number of pages but seriously if you want something bad enough i dont think reading to know how to go about it should be that much of an issue and to me this thread pretty much covers it with plenty case studies. You know sometimes i pray the embassy staff dont even make the mistake of coming to the thread and understand the 'odu' we get here for free...but then again what do i know?

So people please dont get upset with @vicjustice hes actually right to be upset being asked certain questions that already had been dealt with (albeit severally) when actually he could be dealing with new ones to improve the thread qualitatively just cos they wouldnt take time to read things through.
I thank you so much for your encouraging understanding.
And to add to what you have said, i have even created a thread in respect of the required documents in the below link:
https://www.nairaland.com/1181160/comprehensive-list-documents-required-visas

No, it is not supposed to be a bad thing to ask a question, but it is bad to think that you are the only one who is asking for the list of documents and therefore expecting it to be listed for you only.
Sure, i read the "message" and i was disappointed that you did not understand that if i get a penny each time a person asks for the list of documents, i would be a billionaire by now, and every page in this forum would be with the document lists.

Help me with a little analysis please.
I am 30, apply for a student visa, but has been refused twice.
In both application I had a sponsor and a co-sponsor who are both my immediate family members and Half of the tuition was paid.
Both sponsor have a handsome both income and available funds and resources.

Reason for refusal was insufficient resource and funds to pay your tuition

Personal Assets and financial status.

I never included my personal assets and financial status because I thought having both sponsor and co sponsor was enough.

Abeg can anyone help me analyze a little.
I am thinking of reapply in 4 months.
I suspect that you did not satisfy the visa officer of the availability of your sponsor's funds hence your "Personal Assets and financial status" came into question, otherwise, I don't see why this question should come into a student visa application: or, perhaps you've been out of school for a considerable period of time?

Could the experts advice please.
Wife is expecting a baby and I am inviting mother in-law for 4 months. I am providing accommodation (in a 2 bedroom flat) and all expenses associated with her travel. Mother in-law was refused because she is unemployed and has no property to show.
Problem is, she is 60 years and has a 70 year old husband. They own their own home and farmland in village but no document to show. She is a farmer and lives in the village and doesn't operate her bank account. She saves her money under her pillow.
I have asked her to print her bank statement all the same (which has just N40k in it), get my father in-law to do an affidavit saying he is happy for her to travel for four months, asked the village vicar to give a letter, included a family photograph with her family (7 of them of which 6 are in nigeria), drawn a list of all children, grandchildren and in-laws, got the son to give a letter stating they support their mom financially and include bank statement, got 2 sons in-law in nigeria to do same.
On my part, I have booked an onward and return flight with BA, included receipts and pictures of gifts items we purchased during the christmas sales in preparation of her going back (worth over £1000). I previously supplied evidence of income (bank statements, payslips etc), employment, data page of my passport, wife's and daughter's passports, invitation letter and tenancy agreement.
What else can I provide to show this people that mom in-law is not running away from nigeria and she is provided for in nigeria?
Usually, people of advanced age get visa with relative ease and with the minimum requirements, but your mother in-law doesn't seem to fulfill even the minimum requirements, therefore, the onus is on you and others who are pledging supports to satisfy the visa officer that she is not going to be a liability to public funds Iwhilst in the UK.

Yes, "he was helped with advice by someone" as the forum is to help people, but you aren't asking him for advice, rather you are giving him the unnecessary labour to write the list of the documents for you even though the information is easily accessible by a simple seach as they have been written over and over and over again. Ryanair security fee you mean?
Well, that is not due to Ryanair's policy (in fact, the policy does not apply in other airports, I suppose it is a regulation applied by the Riga airport authority on Ryanair to cover some costs.
By the way, it is only 7 euros, and I don't think the receipt is worth holding on to.

I am actually back in Ireland, it is unfortunate that I couldn't take photos in Riga as we arrived the city late on the night that we were to depart Latvia, hence we had to race to the airport with no time to spare for photo.
Riga airport is considerably the smallest airport that I've seen, and yet remarkably, it is the one and only airport in the whole of Latvia.
Here are some of the photos of the crowded boarding gates: they were so crowded that even the stairs were occupied by people waiting to get on board: yet noticeably, despite the crowd, I still happened to be the only person of colour around.

I suspect a UK 10 years ban can be waived under special considerations...
I have a sister that wanted to visit the UK, left for me alone she had all it takes to get a UK visa, but the oversabi ye she be she applied through an agent... The agent forge just too many documents shocked maybe if they give the agent chance he would have changed her name.. All I expected was a rejection and possibly 10 years ban, but I couldn't be bothered. Eventually she got the rejection ....
About 6 months later she was supposed to go for another sisters convocation in the UK and needed to apply, so I had to come in to the application scene, this time she came out pretty clean, she got an invitation letter from the school, got a cover letter from her sister to the embassy telling them how desperately she needs her sister in the UK and how a rejection would ruin her day, she added her bank statement and made them know she is a housewife (although the previous application said she was a salary earner) and added her husbands bank statement, and other relevant information...
I strongly suspected she had a ban but she was still issued a visa, again the place of issue of the visa was somewhere in the UK...
Maybe hers is a rare case.
This is a case in which justice is tampered with mercy, or should I say written rule is tampered with discretive consideration
