TravelRe: Got my German Visa in 16 days!!! by Vicjustice:
dencotech:
All the process of furthering my studies in Germany ranging from application to the university, getting an admission offer to opening a student Blocked Account was hitch-free until Visa Interview where I bleeped up full time.
Am yet to understand wot really came over me. My fuckups include:
1. I went to the embassy to submit my visa documents without knowing that the interview would follow immediately.
2. I dared to visit the embassy without being prepared as I could not provide clear answers to 90 percent of the questions thrown to me by the highly accommodating consular. Funny things like not knowing the name of the German president, the details of the master courses am going for, the no of states in Germany etc. Were my unbelievable crimes among others. This took place on the 17th of Dec.
Funny again, as am writing now, 1 no practically 120 percent of
the questions dat would be thrown at me. I can guide anyone going for student visa to. Get his/her visa. But the thing is dat there's no second chance.
I got an email to appear at the embassy. When I got there on the 5th of January, I saw my colleagues beaming with smiles collecting their Visas amidst "congratulations" while I got a well articulated "rejection letter" from the embassy. Now am supposed to be in Germany before March 13th.
The attending consular told me that I could apply again. I rushed home and re-applied. Now I have to wait for ages to get an appointment letter from the embassy. For now, am drinking it off cos of the frustration my visa rejection came with. However with ur prayers I hope to come back and share how I got my Visa finally. Dat's when I can type and write well. For now am inebrieted with liquor of sadness, frustration and in deed, I've emptied lots of bottles in my stomach.
I am sorry, but i don't find this story very credible. Since when did the name of the German chancellor and the knowledge of the number of regions in Germany become criteria for German student visa?
Also, i don't find it credible that all these really did happen to you, and you resort to consuming intoxicating liquor and yet, you have the guts to say so while narrating your supposed ordeal.
I'm sorry, but i think there is no credibility in this tale. This is my take.

Sorry i think i posted this in the wrong section earlier.

justwise and other very knowledgeable fellows, thanks for the good works u guys are doing here

Good day, pls I need ur assistance in terms of advice. Other than Ghana I haven’t travelled out of the country.
I would be applying for a UK visa (General Visa 6 months) in the first week of April along with my wife, son (3years) and daughter (1year) for my brother in laws wedding coming up in May.

I was just informed of the date a few days ago

From what I have gathered so far I need to print out my six months statement (October 2014 – March 2015). The problem is that my salary account has been on low for a while duh it has a lot of cash flow but due to heavy commitments its always below N120,000.
I’m a senior staff in federal civil service and some of our allowances were paid us in December close to N2mill but I spent most of it. I can easily raise huge cash from several sources but I learnt it could be counter-productive so I want to wait till end of January/first week of February when we are paid series of our allowances which will total over N2.5mil so as to reflect its source.
So what I need advice on
1) If I maintain an account balance of like N500k from now till end of January/first week of February and then receive my allowances close to N2.5m and leave it till 1st of April before printing out my statement would it be ok?
It would be OK if there is documented evidence of the source and the purpose of the money.

nonoski:
2) My Wife had been to the UK for her masters sponsored by FG back in Oct. 2012, however my Son who was less than One year then was refused a Tier 4 dependant VISA stating paragraph 319H (The crux of the matter was that I didn’t apply along with my Son) I didn't see it as necessary applying coz I knew the nature of my work would not allow me leave the country. My Wife was too devastated and had to defer her master’s programme after several weeks in the UK, she left UK since Dec 2012 and hadn’t returned to UK despite the fact her student visa expired in Jan. 2014. Hope it won’t affect My Son?
Well, except there is a basis to suspect migration intention, that issue can not be connected to this.

nonoski:
3) My Wife has close to #7,000 (Seven thousand pounds) in her UK account untouched since 2013 can we use that?
It depends on the type of account in which the money is kept.

nonoski:
4) Most of my landed properties are not in my name however I have two (one in PH and another in Owerri) which are in my name, can I use them? They are just land deeds?547
Unlike business or other functioning properties that requires your managerial obligations, these would likely serves no purpose as such are considered properties that stand in isolation

nonoski:
5) Should I also include an statement from my pension fund administrators showing a balance of close to N3mill? Do I include my employment letter and also get an introduction letter from my office (Duh it’s a Federal Agency)
Thank you very much if I could have some of these questions answered so as to know what best to do without making mistakes.
You can include such statement as supporting evidence of your financial worth, and the letters would be helpful

NittaJ:
...when filling for my children (ages 8 and 6 respectively), is it okay to use my email and phone number? or do I just put 'Not Applicable' in those fields in their application?
Entering or writing N/A on the fields for contact details will automatically disqualify the application, so, you can use your own email address and other personal contact details.

NittaJ:
Secondly house, my husband and I plan to use the savings in MY account (4m) for the trip. We run a business which currently has about 800k balance. I am also presenting shares worth 6.5m in MY name. Hubby's savings account does not have much funds running in it, as he is not really in the habit of passing funds through it. Is it 'Okay' to sponsor the children and my husband with my account?
Neither your business account with N800k nor the N6.5m ("share worth" ) can represent evidence of funds, but they would make a perfect tie or commitment to Nigeria.
Also, your savings account could be a jeopardy to your application if the money in it is not readily available and accessible like with current account

NittaJ:
NB: We are also presenting the business account statement, but plan to state that we will use the funds in MY savings account. Hubby has no tax clearance either! Pls whats the BEST possible way to present our application to increase our chances?
Thanks so so much!!!
You have done well by deciding to foot the cost, but i'm only concern about the structure of your financial details

What would your "sponsor" benefit from spending his money to send your abroad?
If you can answer this question, then the visa is yours
TravelRe: My Passport Remains 3 Months To Expired Can I Still Traveled With It by Vicjustice:
benalex2015:
Ladies and gentlemen, my international passport has 3 months to expired and I also have 3 months visa on it to South American country please am asking if I will be allowed to travel with the passport or should I get a new passport.
This is the regulation. While you cannot apply for a visa (for most countries) with a passport that has less than six months to expiration, but a valid visa even in an expired passport is tender-able.
Wondering how logical it is to have a valid visa in expired passport? Well, someone can apply for a long term visa (ie 2 years visa) with a passport that is 7 months to expiration...
So you are good to travel with it...

@justwise Is it possible for a nigerian living in dubai to apply for uk visa in dubai or cross to london from dubai?
Yes, it is possible if s/he holds a valid UAE residence permit with its validity exceeding six months period. But if what s/he has is a visa, then, s/he is not eligible to apply from the UAE.
As for crossing from the UAE to the UK, that is very possible by crossing from the UAE to Saudi Arabla, then cross to Iraq or Jordan, then to Syria, and then to Turkey. From Turkey to Greece or Bulgaria, and then to Macedonia or Serbia, to Hungary, to Austria. and finally you will get to France. From France, you will need to cross via Calais port on a vessel to the UK.
Safe journey.

I have a valid visa and want my wife to accompany me
So I want to apply for both her and our son
I have a copy of the marriage certificate in my mailbox
But the original is lost
So am asking can I print three scanned copy and submit
Or do I need a new one
In actuality, you are expected to provide the originals of such hard documents, but i suppose you already presented same on your own application, so, i expect that they already have a verified copy of the document in question. Therefore, this will take the discretion of the visa officer to either accept a copy of the marriage certificate or reject it.
These said, i still don't think you can apply for a visa for your wife, i think you can only support it, she is to make the application for herself.

Hello house,
Is it possible to apply for my wife without providing a marriage certificate
Because the original is missing and I was wondering if I could use our babies birth certificate
I have a visa, I want to apply for my baby and my son. Thanks
If she is married, then she should provide the certificate. The baby's birth certificate is not good enough since it doesn't take only a married woman to have a baby. By the way, what do you mean you are applying for a visa for your wife?

No i never said that sir, he said one could freeze just by "stepping outside" meaning in just a minute or the person will freeze immediately he steps outdoor and am trying to tell him that its gonna take sometimes and that there are some places that are extremely colder/freezing and people still survive with proper gears outside. Sure, nobody can stand outdoor for 2hrs naked under -1º C .
Well, by "sleeping outside" i suppose he meant sleeping outside (outdoor), not laying outside for "just a minute"

Please read your Bible carefully and come back to this forum and correct your post. So you mean Joseph, Moses, Jeremiah, Isiah, Daniel, Elijah, Jesus were all false prophets?
WHAT (prophet) JESUS ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, THE ISA IN THE QUR'AN?
That is definitely not the true Jesus as described in the Bible: the Jesus that we know is the Word of God who became flesh: that Jesus was no other person but God manifested in Flesh.
Please, go to the "Islam For Muslim" section and let the Christians take care of their own matters.

No, Google search these towns "Oymyakon and Yakutsk" located in Russia. The town once recorded -67.7º C (-90ºF) in February, 1933. These days their temperature is over -20º or -30º C sometimes and people are living there, some places are extremely freezing on earth year round like Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland, Alaska, Norway, and so with frozen lakes/pools that the ice sheet will be thick enough to hold cars or people to ice skate without breaking.
Are you suggesting that human can survive outside overnight in such weather?
Well, GoldCircle was talking about sleeping outdoors, it is not at all the same as living staying indoors. No human being can survive outdoors in such conditions
TravelRe: Instant Photos Of My Christmas Holiday In Latvia by Vicjustice(op):
GoldCircle:
did you say -10 degree Celsius? Jeez! I cant even imagine it. Peeps could freeze and die just by stepping outta the door.
It is even -18 °C today: i had personally experienced -38 before in 2005.
Yes, you're right, a person without the appropriate winter clothing and accessories could be killed within 1 hour of exposure in such severe biting temperature, and a person with appropriate protective gears could still get killed if he sleeps outside overnight. There are the amount of time that are reasonable to stay outdoors (without needing to get some heat to recharge your body).
Understand that winter jacket and other winter accessories do not heat up your body, they only prevent your body from rapid heat loss. Now, during winter, the only heat that you get while outdoors is the heat that your own body generates, and like a rechargeable battery, it gets to the point when the source of heat is running out, and if you don't get heat from other sources to recharge your body, you may get to a point of hypothermia which is a deadly condition

By the way, it is important to make it clear to those in American continents that we are talking about Celsius (Centigrade =℃) as applied in Europe as well as in Nigeria where Celsius is the metric measurement, compared to Fahrenheit (℉) which is the standard scale used to measure temperature in the United States etc.
The difference between Celsius (or Centigrade ℃) is, in Centigrade the freezing point of water is O Degree (= 0°C), and the boiling point is 100 Degree (= 100°C). Where as, in Fahrenheit the freezing point is 32 Degree (= 32°F), and the boiling point is 212 Degree (= 212°F).

As a Nigerian in Nigeria, you should have no problem knowing what i mean by -18°C, but for those of you in the Americas who are familiar with Fahrenheit, Minus 18 Degree Centigrade would be Negative 0.4 Degree Fahrenheit (or -0.4°F).
