lafflaff123: Thanks for the advice. The folks coming don't have Nigerian card as I am responsible for them, so have to make the payment one way or the other.Nigerians are treated this way because of their excellent reputation of transparent honesty and genuineness with foreign credit cards |
My brother (in Canada) had the same issue trying to book a ticket (online) for our little brother who was to travel from Nigeria, and the booking went well with confirmation itinerary ticket. But several days later, he observed that Airfrance hadn't taken the payment from his account, so I suggested he telephones Airfrance' customer service department where they explained to him that their system is set to NOT accept foreign credit cards that are used to purchase flight tickets with Nigerian Airports as their departure points: so, his booking wasn't really registered even though their was a system confirmation report: there would be no problem if Nigeria is the destination country, not the departure. Your contacts need to use a Nigerian credit card, some airlines (not sure which) do accept such with all security in place. Alternatively, they can go to the airline office themseves and purchase the ticket at the counter. I apologize if it seems I'm ruining the businesses of travel agents, I know that there are some genuine ones out there, but also knowing that there are many crooks striving for jackpots, It is hard to recommend an agent especially when hundreds of thousands of bulks are involved. |
this is probably because, nigerian men would abuse such move, they would see such a woman as cheap or desperate
Indeed |
i did understand your last post as i understood every other post before it. and yes, i don't believe that you're not being honest when you said you are religion blind because, i know that the holy book says "Allah's religion must have no rival", and also, i know what it says in Quran (9:29). So, how could you (a believer as i supposed) say that you are religion blind?
You're one honest person. Tell him, tell him the truth ![]() |
Iceberyln: come leme help you!! Am good wit sex , call me 08173739250FOOL, GET LOST! |
Try using lots of water-base lubricant, KY-Gel is a very good one, and if this doesn't help, then go and see a doctor, it is more likely to be an infection down there |
@Fulanman, I kwow how bitter the truth could be, but if you ask me, I can NEVER trust a northerners nor could I trust your cultures or customs or traditions: so, to trust your culture for the development of Nigeria is as safe as trusting a snake for security service. Let a Fulani man be in a fight with (let's say) a Calabar man in an isolated place, and there comes an Edo man, I bet you, the Edo man would want to stop the fight in a fair way. But assuming it was a Hausa man that came, he would most likely join his Fulani cousin to kill the Calabar man: here you are, talking about African oneness and cultural respect. This is for you: simpleseyi: There appeared to be no end to the bloodletting in Plateau State as six persons, all members of one family, were on Tuesday hacked to death in a renewed wave of sectarian violence in the state. |
confuxsio:First of all, I like to warn you to avoid "agent", just to beware of any agent who interferes with visa application, such is not an agent but a syndicate. A genuine agent only deals with travel related issues such as itinerary arrangements and other travel related information etc. But as for visa related matters, just stay away from them because, they are agents of doom, deceptive syndicates, professing to be influential with embassies, they get you into life-long troubles while they get paid. Beware of them. Now, to your queston, it is not a requirement that he must visit relatives because they live in the UK, especially if he is an independent traveller (with general visit/tourist visa) with tight personal schedules: remember that the UK is not that small... But it is a different thing if applying for a family visit visa |
Fulaman198: The reason why Nigeria is not doing well as a nation is due to the low self-esteem that Nigerians have and their thought process of wanting to be something they are not. They lack self-pride and ambition. Without those things they will never prosper. This is another non-logical claim. Can you prove or give any example that supports your claim that the non-cultural mentality of (some) Nigerians is responsible for holding back the country? I just can't comprehend how someone (like you) could think that the Nigerians with western mind-set are responsible for slowing down the country's progress: it should have been the other way round. |
jcaribie: Yes, you do need to provide a financial statement along with what the UKBA has asked for. This is where it all gone wrong... The written regulations and requirements are there, yet, you guys like to provide your own personal opinions which are often misleading misinformation. Please, if you are answering a question or providing advice based on your own opinions, then, make it explicitly clear by using prases like "in my opinion" so that people may apply their own caution: Now, if a stranger comes to ask a question and you provide wrong advice to him (and it backfires), what kind of impression would he have of the forum and users? It is way better to have no information than to be armed with misinformation because, misinformation is dangerous. |
confuxsio: Hi All,If he is taking care of his own trip, and he is presenting his own bank statement as evidence of fund, he does not need to provide additional bank statement belonging to the person that he is visiting. |
so, why hasn't it worked for nigeria so far? Is the fulani culture not about living nomadic lifestyle, how would any country develop with such lifestyle together with religion fanaticism? you are against "copying syndrome" of other people culture, but yet, you're a muslim... or is your Islamic religion not from foreign culture?
It is obvious that the man is only anti western, but he forgot that no matter how much he cherishes his Fulani culture, he still needs to rely on the west for most vital things: and like I said, his grudges is with the west, he wouldn't have had any problem with Arabic or Islamic cultures. |
@fulaman, i don't see how people with European mentality or people that want to have European way of life are responsible for holding back africa, you have to look at europe itself, if their mentality developed the continent, then it should be a good mentality. your kind of mentality is too native, too traditional and this makes it hard to see beyond local levels and such is bad for this modern world

so, why hasn't it worked for nigeria so far? wola44: Who told you that the advise is not in compliance with the written rules and regulations. Mr Wise , Tell us your advice if Cancerlib choose to reapply ?Are there no rules regarding financial requirements for tourist visa application? If a person borrows money from an "uncle" or took a loan from somewhere, like what kind of documents can he present to fulfill the conditions of financial requirements for tourist visa? Even if there exists a document to this effect, does that make it acceptable for tourist visa? It would help if you understand the golden rules regarding financial requirements for tourist visa so you may know that only a bank account with good balance and comprehensive statements of consistent income is acceptable: and not one with evidence of money lodgement. Is it too hard for you to understand that your advice when you said "kindly reapply with good supporting document that explains the money lodgement" is utterly invalid and dangerous to his money? By the way, I never called you any name, so name calling from you will be unacceptable. |
What about people like you?
Nigerian women (with their mentality) do not go for me, they always want the men to come to them |
Vicjustice: I'm actually familiar with them both in ghetos and in organised areas, but i think you're right, the ones operating in Ghetos are real louderIs that a compliment? |
And what is the right time?
wishlolia: 19:29 ![]() |
I think we are both right, everyone needs spell checker sometimes.
And now that nairaland doesn't have that feature any longer, how do you check spellings? |
You know the answer...
How do you know what i know? |
True again, some people even give multiple numbers perhaps as a show off
I trust them, and these are the kind of guys that would say they "love" you with the very first email that they send... and even demand that you "love" them back |
wishlolia: No, you're not greedy, just that you're not satisfied with what you're generously givenAnd that is the definition of greed. nice one ![]() |
Fulaman198: It is a very sensible argument. Corruption is not the only reason why African countries are not doing well. There is a lot of corruption in Western societies. So, what are the other reasons why African countries aren't doing well? I don't seem to see much of other reasons except the obvious one that many Africans have your kind of mind-set, such mentality that hinders development: how could any open-minded person compare African corruption with that of the west? |
wola44: @ VicjusticeI simply said that the advice that you gave to cancerlib is not in compliance with the written rules and regulations. It would be more plausible to apologise to him for giving him an invalid advice that would have made him loss his time and money |
wishlolia: I THINK THAT DEPENDS ON THE AREAS, maybe you have been familiar with the ones operating in ghetosI'm actually familiar with them both in ghetos and in organised areas, but i think you're right, the ones operating in Ghetos are real louder |
i did not use any joking emotion sign , so what makes you think i'm joking?
Very well, i can see that you're a little behind time ![]() |
what do you mean? by the way, there is no one who can boast of perfect knowledge of every spelling.
So, i was right then. |
perhaps you should tell it to each other, how about that? ? |
ok, i'll check that out
So, what have you found?People like you can make a very good and rich profile with the extra features |
picture ke! most of these guys would prefer to give their useless telephone number instead with any first contact to a girl instead of putting their pics... i don't know what girl that would be interested in a faceless person
That's quite true, i learnt that many people give their phone numbers away to any girl in their first email, that shows the desperation or is it the lack of self esteem? |
