jcaribie: My brother, I'm sorry. I didn't read the full story: just read it now. I take back the advice. He actually has been banned for 10 years.Thank you for your understanding ![]() |
d2ddayo: after the occurrence, i was told to reapply by an inside person at the irish embassy but i haven't. if i was, the person wont ve told me to because the person is close to the family. the person said i should ve told him/her before i submitted my application in which he/ she would ve reviewed my documents or better still, handled my documents. by the way, its Ireland not uk embassy am talking about here. the only problem i am having is that i should ve made him/ her know before submitting my application.now what i am thinking is wait till my dad comes december for the reunion, then we go to abuja to find out what ca be done. and maybe apply to the irish embassy first before facing the uk embassy. i didn't lie about my father's location, quite alryt i heard he is in Ireland but there was no certainty that he is bcus he had and my mom had been separated and a stepfather had been involved whom had been the one taking responsibility for my upkeep. i only revamped my reunion with my dad at that period which i then added him on the form. its all about proofs. my whole record with them should prrof that that my stepfather had been the one and at anytime, i could decide to reunite with my dad or anyone.I can only wonder why anyone would tell you to reapply for the visa knowing fully well that you were refused on the ground of "DECEIT". Well, you can reapply if you want to bin your money and waste your time. By the way, I insist that whether the UK or Ireland, the two countries shares same immigration database: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnT5aq0vx_Y |
jcaribie: I'm not asking him to deceive them. I said he should go and swear to an affidavit along with his dad. How is that deceit bro?It seems you have not been following his post and therefore you are giving him advice on the situation that you are not familiar with. The guy (d2ddayo) had been refused a visa, and by his own admission, he was refused on the ground of "DECEIT". By regulation, this offence carries a 10 years ban... And you are advising him to go for affidavits and all sort of invalid solutions? Refer to this quote of his: d2ddayo: hi forum, though ve always shied away from this uk visa thread, but i thnk its best i just ask n know! i want to know if it is advisable for me to apply for a uk visa after i was denied an irish visa 2yrs ago? my story originated thus: i ve been travelling to ireland for like 5 times in 5years alongside germany and france and ve never over stayed or bridged any immigration laws except for my last application which i was refused with the major reason of "DECEIT". Was told that i didnt disclose that my father resides in ireland.... after then, i just didnt bother appealing or anything, instead i went to france emb, applied and was given like wise italian embassy went and returned as i have always done. now i am thinking of applying for a uk visa for a visit visa and maybe later this year, i might apply for ireland again as i was advised by the consular, that i will apply afresh if ever i want to and state my reasons and defend my self. please house what is your advice to my application to uk embassy, do they check in for each other or what? thanks |
jcaribie: He will. One thing about the UKBA is honesty and evidence. He'll be fine. The consequence for "DECEIT" is a 10 years ban, I am stating this according to the rule; but by what rule are you saying that "he'll be fine"? This is only by hope. Unfortunately, it is too late for that now, they don't give a second chance and forgiveness is not in an embassy's dictionary. |
jcaribie: Get a birth certificate which names him as your biological dad, along with a letter from him that you guys just got to know each other after a long time. If there is no birth certificate naming him, get him to swear to an affidavit that he is your biological father, but he has been absent for a long time. CheersWhy are you encouraging him to get into a fight that he can never win? He has been banned for 10 years, therefore, your advice is invalid. Please, take no offence at this, the truth has to be said. |

IrishBebey: Please, keep it civil. Thank youExactly. I wish everyone does this |
ayobj: i was at the vfs centre in ikeja yesterday.picked the visa application of my wards-my 3 kids and mynyounger sister.on opening the package,we found out hat the children were granted and my sister was denied. As a 30 years old married adult, she is expected to be capable of self sustainability (without a sponsor), and if anyone must sponsor her, then the person should be her spouse: any other sponsorship is questionable. |
orans: thanks u sir for the quick response. I have another question pls. My younger broda and I would be applyin and when he did his e passport 2 years ago the date of birth was wrong as my guardian did not comfirm 4rm our parents b4 going ahead. He applied to the lagos U.S embassy and was denied nt because of the age though but tax clearance matter. Now my parents insist he rectifies his passport and change the age as reflected in his WAEC certificate. He has done that and hope to apply with the new passport in the Abuja U.S embassy. Pls do u tink d embassy could trace both passports and maybe charge him for falsification? The new passport has only the date of birth change and it got a new passport numberHe will definitely be caught, and as far as the USA is concerned, there will be no remedy to rectify the age discrepancy, therefore, his chance of ever entering the country is doomed for life except he maintained that false age. |
orans: please sir i need your advice. I am applying for a student visa in u.s . My dad and sponsor has a permanent residency in the U.S and d acct is from a u.s bank. Do u think my sponsor being there would affect my visa chances? If yes wat ties and supportin doc do i present to increase my chance of getting d visa. ThanksThough there is no rules forbidding it, but it is usually not an advantage for you to have a "sponsor" already in the country that you intend to study in, there are many indications that your true intention is to migrate or to remain in the States even after your studies as you seem to have more ties to the US than to Nigeria |
so you really do consider yourself a hot cake, i know it's a joke, am i not right?
Joke, are you serious now? |
IrishBebey: Me too, every Irish one should beWhy did you write this in phrase, lazy? By the way, i know what you meant, that is: every Irish person should be expecting clarification, right? |
Oh yeah, You'd rather kiss a flatie, right?
Whether flatie or bubble ikebe, i would not be obliged: it is one thing if it is for, or in romance, but to do that in a show of humiliation is something else |

MamiWata: How has it not been observed? I assume you are speaking of me in particular? And please do note that it should be your Irish friend behaving in a way to seek our respect as she is the visitor on this board. I am in no way seeking her respect.Would i be wrong if i considered you a core racist? ![]() |
desy24444: The originator of this thread deserve praise I tell Ɣ☺U̶̲̥̅̊.my own is that I intend doing my masters in anesthetic nursing science in either UK,Canada or US and my dad will b ma sponsor and he earns 100K a mnth.although, we intend borrowing some money and adding it 2 d one we have and we want 2 pay in the money on installment lik 1 year b4 I apply for the visa.I dnt knw if this one is still money lodgment.pls advice meIt is not exactly the same (student visa application) regulation regarding financial requirements with the countries that you mentioned, so it is not logical to give a definite answer whether positive or negative. However, even if the fund that would cover the cost of your study is readily available in a bank account, it is important to know that your sponsor's personal bank account and financial circumstances would be looked into, and therefore it may seem funny that you are presenting a person who earns less than £400 per months to sponsor your education abroad |
suxes2005: I can hack laziness from your post. You want to be fed. ![]() |
d2ddayo: hi nairaland, please i need your help up in here o!!!!!!!!!! i intend to visit the united kingdom next year april through my company as i represent my company every year to different countries for exhibitions. my company is into shoes and we have our clients in france, spain and italy. last year i represented the company there and all documents were submitted without my own personal bank statement. reason is bcus i dont really have anything in my account. even if i ve to use it by that april, am not certain i will ve up to 200hk cus am always using the money for other things which are business oriented. i ve visited ireland that where my family resides and they are now citizens, italy, where i was last year for 10days, france, Germany. what do u think about this My last visa application to ireland, i was denied bcus i didnt disclose that my father resides in ireland after 6 different visas had been given from this same irish embassy. i was told to reapply but i didnt bother to since 2011 which after then i ve gone to 2 different countries. back then i was still in school and it was my aunty that was inviting me because my parents werent citizens then. this is my first time applying to UK. though i ve been in the uk when i was 5 and left when i was 8yrs with my parents. How did you manage to avoid stating your parents nationality? I'm asking because I'm aware of the segment that deals with parents information. Well, if you lied about your parents nationality, or you gave a partial true answer, that action may qualify deception: therefore, i am honestly of the opinion that you might have gotten into trouble by deliberately withholding the information regarding your parents nationality: be advised that the UK and the ROI share same database and therefore enforce same regulations, so, if the rules are implemented correctly, you could be carrying the 10 years ban. |
herigift: please can i and my spouse use the same bank statement with sufficient fund and good cash flow for study permit?Affirmative. But it is important that your sponsor is your parent or sibling |
IrishBebey: Win what, you?Are you behind time, or don't you think I'm worth fighting for? ![]() |
Thankful11011: Hello nairaland,There is neither any rules broken nor is there any terms and condition breached by not using a valid visa, therefore, you won't have any problem: after-all, it's your visa fee that you're wasting |
bammyevents: @justwise thanks. I really appreciate. What can I do if I want to apply on a clean note.I'm finding it hard to work out the terms of expression or the figure of speech that fits this sort of question |
PhysicsHD: For Ireland, I can't remember the book I read it in just now, but I'll look for the quote again.I was expecting your clarification on this |
Where art thou, Irishbebey? |
Modeling or dating? |
MamiWata: [sarcasm]So, how is this antagonistic attitude any better? |
I always admit the truth, I'm not a liar, or you think otherwise?
Yeah, I can still trust you. |
