I will be resuming work next week, you know private schools dont give 3 months leave. Though, there is day care for teachers' babies but i cant be moving up and down to breastfeed him.

I intend staying till 3 months but for one reason. I resumed with them sept last year, gave birth Nov. She paid me full salary for nov and dec even oct that i fell sick for 2 weeks and didnt go to work. So im feeling guilty to stay at home till 3mnths.

Pls advice

my friend dt worked wt a primary school 4 almost a yr wasnt paid salary d month she gave birth evn tho she had worked far into d mnth. her sch evn gives 3 mnths maternity leave bt wtout pay. she lost morale & is nw a stay-at-home-mom til her daughter is a year old.

Just buy a very good pump. breastfeed him well bfor leavin home, den pump into his feedin bottles OR a stainless flask to keep it warm n let d nanny feed wt cup n spoon. during break, u breastfeed him n pump som more to last til closing. u can do dt til he's 6 mnths den supplement wt formula. all d best.

2.68kg @ 37weeks is equal to or less than 3.68kg @ 40weeks... if u r a first tym mum, an episiotomy wil b given by most hosp to aid delivery.. relax sis, God is in control

exactly @ d birth weight. but is dis episiotomy really necessary?

Please mothers, I went for scan at 37wks and my baby weigh 2.68kg. Hope it's okay because I don't want my baby to be big o. I dey fear to tear pass labour sef.

baby's weight is ok. just pray he/she comes before ur EDD cos na fat d baby go dey add now. mine weighed 3.03kg @ 36 wks n was 3.94 @ birth. I was induced at 41wks. & dnt b afraid of episiotomy, dependin on d patience of d doc/midwife, u may nt evn get. i had one n didn't evn feel d pain cos my labour pain superceded it. it's healed perfectly n my ministry isn't affected at all. hope u av seen my explanation on how to use EPO?

lioha, he said 4 things can happen:
1. the sac reseals. its rare but happens. It closes, fills back n d baby lives.
2. baby dies because deres no fluid
3. labour sets in wch is very likely
4. Since d water broke, deres high risk for an infection. If infection sets in, mom n baby die. d OBGYN wil den induce delivery to save d mom n uterus(womb) for anoda baby.


he said u shd do dese things:
1. observe STRICT bed rest,
2. eat a lot of protein,
3. tk lotssssss of water
4.monitor ur temperature because of risk of infection to d baby
5. b put on antibiotics (IV)
6. b very prayerful
7. ask questions from ur docs so u can b well informed

he said dis is d roughest period, once d baby can enter 28 wks, survival rate is increased. dat since u r nt havin contractns, der is hope because most PPROM cases go into labour within 48hrs- 7days.

I believe in miracles, cry to God in desperation. it's well dear. lots of hugs.
Go online n read positive stories of women who had PROM bt delivered d same babies despite doctors report.

PS- I forgot to add dat he said d hosp shd av a fully equipped neonatal unit.

lol. just do woteva is comfy 4 u. I was on my feet alot til i was 7mnths preg cos of d nature of my job n decided to slow down in d last 2 mnths. Being active is best sha- 4 ur health n baby's as long as everything is going smoothly bt dnt overdo it.

Oh and some people scared me saying never lie on your back. My tummy I not big I cn even lie on it but fear no go gree me. Ha ha ha

I was scared durin my time initially too bt was reassured by doctors & I stopped lying on my tummy wen it started showin wella because it was no longer comfy & dt used to b my favourite sleep position.

Pls ask him what he think I should do or take Though I am still in the hospital(golden cross festac) any way. They baby heart beat is still ok but the fluid is inadequate. I take enough fluid and they give me drugs.

sure. sleep in any position u r comfortable. me I was still able to sleep on my back in late preg.

hi everyone, pls wot causes high blood pressure several months after delivery?? fluctuates btwn 148/97 to 157/100. how can it be managed? no history of hbp in pregnancy tho readings fluctuated btwn a once off 140/90 to130/80,120/80 n somtyms 110/70.

Amen 2 all ur prayers, thks. My birth story..... I went 2 d hosp on 31st 4 check up @ 2pm cos EDD ws on d 1st & ws askd 2 cme wen i see any sign as d baby ws gettin ready 2 cme. I went back on d 1st around 7pm cos of mild pain cmin abt 30m.ins interval & ws told am 2cm bt nt fully dialatd, d doc ask me 2 cme back wen it is mre severe. I & husb agree in prayas dt nothing ws going 2 happn till d next mrnin. @ 3am i saw mucur & i prayd d Lord wl hold evrytin till mrnin. We left 4 d hosp around 6:30am as i culd nt sleep thru d night. Wn we got 2 d hosp i was told am abt 8cm, i ws inducd around 15min 2 10am cos my contractn ws slow. Finally pushed d baby thru @ 10:15am weighin 2.9kg wt tear. Halleluyah. Pls if i may ask hw did u tak kia of ur stiches.

congrats, kisses to ur LO. do sitz bath at least twice daily. get warm water inside a bowl n add a little salt den sit inside d water for few mins. do NOT use hot water cos it wil mk d stitches loosen n u may av to b restiched. do NOT rub d stitch site n wen u sit, sit wt ur legs closed togeda. pele.

lie down in a positn to giv u access 2 ur vijay den squeeze the oil into it by pressing d tab open and rub it in den use d remaining to massage ur perineum area morning and night den if oga is around, u can kpekus to saturate it wella. I used 2 tabs ( 1000mg ) during my time but our doc in the house den donatee said we could increase the dose to 3 tabs(1500mg). it cld also be swallowed whole(like d way u tk drugs). & I think u start using it frm 37 wks.

it is well sister. u will carry dis baby to term n deliver safely. I showed my dad (who's a doctor) d scan report & he said it can be corrected once u r in good hands so av faith & b encouraged dt d good Lord who has brought u dis far won't leave u desolate.

I think maybe u should read up what someone says about it killing a child,u must be vry careful,what kind of food re u trying to feed ur baby to eat,why dnt u forcefeed urs with a spoon,I do forcefeed mine with a spoon,becos he doesn't want to eat at all,bt I gave him in little quantity,so dat he won't vomit,I think ur baby is teething,which is also doing mine,try to give him what he like most for now,I do give my baby cerelac becos he like it so much,though its expensive,bt what can I do

our mothers then hv dis metgod of forcing food down, they close d nose, or blow on his face and d baby is forced to swallow. dis method has its disadvantages o, its nt soo ideal bt it works

Any June mama in the house hope that's not too far, a beg help me o my stomach is still mega flat that my husband look at me sometimes and say 'baby, are you sure there's someone there' thank God say we go do scan together even my colleagues at work dont know i am pregnant and i am 3 months gone . Abeg my craving is for moin moin and I v been eating it everyday, hope no side effect biko and I always feel bloated.By the way this thread was quiet for some time, come and be dropping birth stories for us o

I started at one year. I noticed their toothpaste states 1-6years

am using 0-2 colgate toothpaste for him now @ 8mths+ since his first teeth budded. used warm salty water with cotton bud frm birth
