I don't know how long o. My son didn't stool but ran mild temp in d first phase of teething. Be given him ORS/enough fluid would do. Was told that attempting to control d stooling of a teething baby isn't good.
Don't worry, only first phase s usually 'tedious'. Subsequent ones would b mild.
It is well with OUR LOs. God's healing power will b on LOs going through development/growth processes of any sort. Fear not, because all is well.

my brother tnx 4 asking.. he's fine but still stooling he's not dehydrated tho. & as active as ever just occasionally fussy.
still refusing cereals and meds. I usually force d drugs down ni o. I noticed he's teething tho- felt it wen I put my finger in his mouth. if it's teething causing d stool, how long will it take b4 it stops?

MojAyo are you not the nurse lady? ORS is administered with zinc. Just buy a big eva water and a sachet of ORS then pour in the water n give to your baby. Betterstill talk to ur pead pls.

I didn't giv my LO d zinc glucose o.. he refused to drink d ORS so I din't c d point.. he's taking ordinary water sha..

@vickilafab, yes my daughter usually react to zinnat I have stoped it totally for her Augumentine is better for her. Different children with different reactions to drugs

my back and one leg is failing me already. im beginning to get home ridden. at this rate by the time im 8 months ill be completely home ridden. sometimes it aches so much that i cry really hard. its hard for me to walk around the house and sometimes when i decide to take small strolls i whimper when walking and people will be wondering if im due already nd just walking round to gear up for labour. but its all good. the lord that gave me this good gift will make it a lot easier for me *wipes tear*

I went back again wen dere was no improvement. He gave me diazepam to be taken @night for 3days...but d pain still persist after the 3 days...wat can I do to relieve this pain. It is getting unbearable for me. Thanks in advance.

pele.. experienced moms will answer you soon. I suggest you do a scan and get a second opinion from another obstetric doctor. it's well.

Read this story and I was laughing and crying at the same time. Thank God for you and congratulations.
Been married and ttc for a year and a half and I'm so frustrated right now. Myself and hubby av been diagnosed so far as ok. Just pray this delay will be over soon. When family members who haven't seen me in a long time see me the first place they look at is my tummy and then they put on this puzzled expression. A few weeks back, one old woman even went as far as asking me what my hubby and I are still waiting for. As if we choose to be without child till now.
Anyway, I will be back soonest to share our testimony in Jesus' name.

Hello Mamas, i have a question. I'm 8 wks pregnant and had to go to the hospital today because i was having fever and cough. The doctor prescribed fansidar for malaria (though no test was carried out) and benylin with codeine for the cough. Though i rejected the fansidar, he insisted.

Please who has had to treat malaria in the first trimester? what drug did you use? the little research v done on Google says fansidar is not safe during pregnancy.

PLEASE do a test ooooo! if you read d fansidar leaflet, it says from 2nd trimester. was it an Obstetric doc u saw? Some of ds docs r ITKs, don't let anyone use u for experiment. i tested + for malaria in 1st trimester& d medicine I was given was to control it. got treated much later in 2nd trimester.

& it's nt as if I don't av confidence in the doc bt u no private hospitals and money making...my dad is a doc.. dats y I'm doing my part by double checking woteva he ingests as he can't talk yet.
besides, I don't get to c d same doc as dey do shifts. saw anoda paediatrician at his hospital yst & twas confirmed that it's a reaction frm d augmentin (was told som kids usually av fits of diarrhoea and vomiting & it happens sometimes wt zinnat) did stool m/c/s to b sure- stil awaiting the results. dose was reduced but dat one still added ciprocin, zinc glucose & ORS na wa!

it depends on what you are looking for. I'd suggest u check online for reviews of the two

exactly! if u av enough cash to splurge, I'd advise you buy a standing bathtub sef because as baby grows, it's tiring bending at bath time.

it was kinda watery & had a slimy look. Thank God, he pooped just once yst & is yet to go 2dy so I believe he's getting better.

yea, dats true. i did EBF too and it wasnt easy initially, bt within a few weeks he started eating well. we were 8months ystdday.

Anti malarial, anti biotics seems like a lot of drugs for a six months old. Was it a pediatrician you saw?
As per solid with hassle, it's completely normal. This is Someone that has had only one type of food, one taste (b.milk) for 6 months. He is ready used to it and set in his ways. So of course any other taste will be hassle, especially for a baby that is not adventurous.
Just keep feeding him in bits and bits. He will acquire the taste for it. I read on baby centre or somewhere that it takes 22 feeds for a baby to acquire a taste.
I started weaning my baby (with cereal and purées) at 4 months cuz she refused formula, it was a struggle too, some days one spoon other days not at all. But she liked water a lot just the way you have said. But now at 6 months she takes one puree in the morning, then cereal in the evening. All without fight. I am now introducing second foods like youghurt, mixed purées and regular food.
So be patient and consistent. Those are the two ingredients for weaning. Hugs

my sister, na paediatrician o @ a children's hospital sef. d drug bombardment taya me & it's still a struggle for him to drink d sweet mix sef-:\ d doc said d antibiotics(augmentin) is to treat mild tonsillitis he saw so my baby doesn't get ear infection.

I just bought a playpen. What i like abiut it is the place u can change baby's diaper.Wanted a particular bassinet which was out of stock on their site wen I was ready to make my orders.
Aftet this 1st time, one would b more experienced on what one needs n those u dont need.

very useful purchase oooo! u'll c d need once ur baby starts sitting& is able to play & u can b using the changin bed from birth. just remember to NEVER leave baby on it wtout ur hand on him/her so as to prevent accidents.

I totally agree. my son has been sleeping in his bed from birth & now used to it. but d early months sacrifice ehhhhn.. getting up from d bed to breasstfeed den put him back in wen he's asleep wasn't easy at all dat I was tempted to start co-sleeping bt am enjoying the dividends now

nt a waste oooo. buy it if u av d money as baby will likely grow into it. we got something like dat & I keep enjoying it as d days go by. u can buy d cot wt net for when visitors com around to see baby so dat evryone won't be carrying d baby d baby wil only use dat one for 3 months or so.. I've kept mine nw.

I'm so so glad 2 finally join this group ,which I tot wld never happen,I'm still in shock tho.. ok so am currently 5wks pregnant,my problem is I don't hav much preggy symptoms just sore boobs and little tiredness sometimes no morning sickness,no nausea etc, I'm kinda worried if thers a problem or it just still early ..I'm scheduled for a scan at 6weeks ...I just can't wait seems like 4ever...

yes som people experience itching and it's normal. it's as a result of ur skin stretching as ur bump gets bigger. d doc & matron suggested robb & it worked for me. just get small quantity and rub all over ur tummy. woteva u do, DON'T scratch ur tummy to avoid stretchmarks.

I registered in a government hospital at 7wks and I wasn't told to come back. Infact,i saw the doctor the next day cos I was given Tuesday appointment and that day happens to be monday. But make I no lie,the midwives at the registration point dey use one kind eye look me wen it was my turn and I told her I was 7wks. But me no send dem o.

Hello house. Pls how soon after bfp can one start kpekusing? we waited all through the two weeks wait without it. N now hubby is on heat . I have been resisting and he sure understands. I only want to know when it's safe to start. Left to me, I can abstain for God knows when, but I am considering hubby. Not like he's pestering or something o. Who born am to pester after ttc for months .

She did EBF for 6mths...he's still being breastfed now too but not as before...he's weaning himself now (if I'm not mistaken) because sometimes he won't accept it while atimes, just for a few minutes. 1st & last meal of everyday are always bf.

BTW, could it b teething? Loss of appetite, stooling/diarrhoea & temp are symptoms of teething? Let's see how he reacts after his meds completion.

Is it a private hospital? Cos dats d policy of govt owned hospitals. I really don't know why they do so because in my opinion, dose first few weeks are really important
