Hello Obegiri,
Has your son resumed for the job now? A younger brother just reached out to me with the same type of letter and I wanted to also know the genuineness, your experience sharing can be a life saver, thanks.
obegiri:
My son got this employment letter through an old acquaintance of his in Nigeria before he left for Amsterdam ,who is working in the said company and standing for him as a guarantor, but there has been several demands from the company on the procurement of some documents in Nigeria, ranges from insurance, ndla , police etc which has cost me thousands of naira, including transit passage clearance ticket fee which I have sent to the guy twice in Amsterdam .

For the fact that we don't seem to understand ourselves at the initial stage on how long we can accomodate these people is an issue.

For me anytime one week or more is too long cos the more you stay the more you are unwanted particularly where girlfriends and wives are involved.

Na God go help us o,it shouldn't be too difficult getting an apartment for yourself but in Naija it can be like a bachelor seriously searching.

RSA:

SA Cabinet shocked at Nigerian incident
MAR 8, 2012 | SAPA | 8 COMMENTS
“Cabinet expressed shock and regret at reports regarding how African foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians,  have been treated at OR Tambo International Airport”

Cabinet was shocked by the treatment reportedly meted out to African foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians, at OR Tambo International Airport, Minister in the Presidency Collins Chabane said on Thursday.

Briefing the media in Cape Town following Cabinet’s fortnightly meeting the day before, he said a task team had been set up to investigate the matter.

“Cabinet expressed shock and regret at reports regarding how African foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians,  have been treated at OR Tambo International Airport,” Chabane said

“The genesis of the issue seems to be about yellow fever certificates. A high-level ministerial task team comprised of the various affected ministries has been set up to get to the bottom of the issue.”

Chabane said a joint media briefing, involving the department of international relations and co-operation and the Nigerian High Commission, would be held at noon on Thursday.

“The details of what exactly happened and further remedial measures will be discussed at that briefing,” he said.

dasparrow:

Its not just in Nigeria, its everywhere. The only reason monday is a holiday is because new years day just like christmas fell on a sunday, on a weekend when most people are off from work anyway. Hence they are giving people monday off. Its the same thing in Canada, USA, Europe and beyond. It has nothing to do with Jonathan per se. Next year will be different because xmas will fall on a monday and so will new years day.

I no gree no be everywhere, a business friend from New Zealand mailed me last week that 2nd & 3rd Jan. are holidays in that country.                                                                                                                                                      It's called the day after new year day holiday,

IYGEAL:

Chelsea don't take these so-called top clubs lightly and I expect Spurs to loose.

As a Chelsea fan, I wouldn't want DD to start the match. I would want Torres to start alongside Sturridge and Mata. Also, Lampard, Mikel shouldn't start.

If the team selection is wisely done, I believe Chelsea will would edge spurs with 1 or 2 goals.

My bizarre prediction though is Spurs 2-1 Chelsea
