A terrifying prehistoric shark which has 300 razor sharp teeth has been caught by a group of fishermen in Australia.
The bizarre-looking creature was captured by the bemused fishermen near Lakes Entrance in Victoria.
The dark brown two-metre long fish is a frilled shark, which is also known as the 'living fossil'.

The shark captured in 700 metres deep of water, which is unusual because they normally are found at 1,500 metres.
It is now believed the shark has been sold.

The King of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has died at the age of 90.

King Abdullah died early on Friday, January 23, according to a statement from the Royal court.
No exact cause of death was cited but the king had beenhospitalized for a lung infection on December 31.
Abdullah’s brother, 79-year-old Crown Prince Salman has confirmed the king’s passing in a televised passing and also announced that he had ascended the throne.

The oldest living woman in Scotland who is 109 years says the secret to her longevity is simply “Eat your porridge and avoid men.” Centenarian Jessie Gallan, who was never married, was born in a tiny two-room farm cottage where she slept “top-to-tail” with her brother and five sisters on a straw mattress,reported The Daily Mail.
Gallan told the newspaper that her “secret to a long life has been staying away from men. They’re just more trouble than they’re worth.” She noted that she also “made sure that I got plenty of exercise, eat a nice warm bowl of porridge every morning and have never gotten married.”

Last year when she turned 108, she credited her porridge — but not avoiding men — as the reason for her longevity.
While the oldest person in Scotland, Gallan is not the oldest person in the world. That honor goes to Misao Okawa of Japan, who celebrated her 116th birthday in March. She has been a widow for 83 years (her husband died in 1931) — suggesting that she perhaps shares Gallan’s view about avoiding men if you want to live long.
Last year, a national survey of centenarians in the United States found that the secrets to long life include plenty of time with friends and family and a commitment to fitness.

More than 30,000 Chinese couples have besieged the authorities applying to have more than one child.

Tired of the law that forbids them from having more than 1 child, more than 30,000 couples based in Beijing, the capital of China, besieged the office of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning, applying to be allowed to have a second child.

The Chinese authority had, in February, 2014, eased the one-couple, one-child, policy but it was still being practiced in the capital but couples based in the city decided to take it upon themselves to force the hands of the authority.
Zhong Dongbo, the Deputy Head of the Commission, said in Beijing that out of the 30,305 applicants, 28,778 had been approved.
He said the number was, however, lower than the 50,000 expected, adding that many couples who wanted to have second child chose not to have them this year, but this does not mean that they won’t have them in future.
"Maybe they’re just not ready, maybe it is due to economic cost or time cost or they are contented with one child."
Dongbo said Beijing was prepared for an increase of 50,000 births every year while extra 1,000 beds would be arranged in Beijing hospitals within three years.

A Lagos State based lotto, (Baba Ijebu) operator, Sade Onafowope, is now telling the police all she knows in the murderof one of her agents, Oluwatosin Efuneye, after he could not account for a missing N500.

The Lagos State Police Command, in a release, states that Onafowopo, a principal lotto agent who has shops with clerks in the Ojuelegba and Somolu areas, one of which the deceased operated, had ordered thugs to beat up the agent when she realised that the money was missing from his coffers and the overzealous miscreants, popularly called area boys, tortured the young man to death.
The incident happened on 15 January, at Makinde Street, Ojuelegba, Lagos, where Onafowopo, popularly called Shandy, lives and operates her lotto business.
It was gathered that the 31-year-old Efuneye who hailed from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, had collapsed during the beating and was rushed to a private hospital where he was confirmed dead while the crime was reported to the Area C Police Command, Surulere.
Efuneye's distraught father could not believe that his son who spoke with him few hours before the incident, is truly death.
The septuagenarian spoke with Punch Newspaper:
"Tosin (Efuneye) was doing the lotto business at Esan Ogboogun Street, Somolu. But he would normally go to Ojuelegba every morning to remit the previous day’s proceeds to his boss, Shandy. He stayed with me with his younger brother. He was not married.
What happened on last Thursday was shocking. I learnt that when he got to Shandy’s place, the woman said a customer came to complain that Tosin had deducted N500 from the N1,000 which the customer used to play the lotto. The customer then claimed he had won N240,000, and demanded his winning.
Shandy did not wait for any explanation from Tosin. She arranged for thugs on her street to torture him. They stripped him to his underwear, and beat him up. Shandy did not report to the lotto’s head office in Lagos State. She did not report to the family or to the police.
She and the thugs beat up Tosin until he collapsed. They rushed him to a private hospital, but he was already dead. When I learnt about the matter, I called Shandy on the phone, she refused to pick my calls."
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident, saying that Onafowopo was being interrogated to identify other miscreants involved in the incident.
"The suspect is in our custody, and she is helping the police with information to arrest other suspected killers of the deceased."

A Kenyan police officer has been sentenced to death for armed robbery.

A Kenyan police officer, Constable Gilbert Ingosi Chemoso, who thought he could augment his finances by robbing a businessman, Chrispine Otieno Odongo of Sh90,000, (N44, 316) on June 25, 2012, has been sentenced to death by a Nairobi's Chief Magistrate court.

The police officer will die by hanging while a second suspect in the case, George Kamau Ndogo, a civilian, was acquitted.
According to Kenya Daily Nation, the police officer, had organized and staged the crime where the business man was dispossessed of his money shortly after he withdrew the money from a bank.
The judge averred that despite an alibi Ingosi gave, which was supported by his colleague with whom he had been assigned guard duties at a nearby bank where the robbery was committed, 'he had all the opportunity to leave his work station and commit the offence and return back (sic) to work.'
A search at his house at the Makongeni Police Station, the magistrate observed, yielded an un-serviceable handcuff, which'he explained away as having belonged to another police officer who occupied the house before him.'
The investigating officer, John Shegu, had previously told the court that Ingosi was in full uniform when 'he sprung at the complainant and held him by the neck before pushing him into a waiting vehicle, which later drove off.'
The judge, while handing down the sentence, said:
"Mr Ingosi was indeed in uniform when he committed the crime, (and) the victim believed that he had been arrested before he was robbed.
He saw the AK-47 rifle which had been assigned to the police officer for his guard duties and identified the person who robbed him.
The victim was told to return to the scene, which was in the vicinity where the police officer had been stationed to work and saw him again."
She said that during his testimony the complainant had a 'firm resolve and was sure that the police officer was involved in the robbery.'

The Government of the east African country has set up a task force to investigate the incessant killing of albinos over the years.

A new report has revealed that about 70 Tanzanian albinos have been killed in the past six years.

The body parts of these albinos, ranging from hearts to genitals, are widely believed to be powerful magical ingredients.
In a move to stop these killings, the government of the east African country has banned soothsayers from talking about albinos in order to protect them. According to a report by theNews Agency of Nigeria, the Home Affairs Minister of the country, Mathias Chikawe has announced the creation of a task force comprising representatives of the government and theTanzania Albino Society (TAS) to investigate the killings.
“The new task force will review court cases involving albino killings to make sure culprits did not get away too lightly. Soothsayers are the ones fuelling albino killings, we are going to look for them and those who will be apprehended will be prosecuted,’’ Chikawe said.
Mathias Chikawe also warned that “witchdoctors” claiming to make people rich should not be mistaken for practitioners of alternative medicine.

Ecuadorian beauty queen, Catherine Cando died on Saturday, January 10 after a surgical operation went wrong.

It was all joy and laughter for 19-year-old medical student, Catherine Cando, when she beat 23 other girls to win Queen of Duran, a beauty contest in her Ecuadorian home town in 2014.

Miss Cando, won the competition in October 2014 and won prizes, including a new Aveo car 2015 and a smart tablet. She also won a free course of cosmetic surgery treatment; a prize which turned out to be fatal to her life. Catherine Cando died on Saturday January 10, during the surgery operation.
According to reports in the Ecuadorian media, Catherine’s brother, Daniel Zavela, said the 19-year-old beauty queen had initially rejected the surgery because she felt she was young and she could be able to lose her weight by working out. She however agreed to undergo the procedure after she was pressured by a surgeon. Judges at the competition also highlighted the need for her to lose some of her weight.

"She was thinking about letting someone else have it as a freebie but eventually she agreed to have it just to get him off her back," Daniel Zavela told the media.
She died while she was undergoing the liposuction procedure at a private clinic on Saturday. Two doctors who performed the operation on her have been arrested as authorities believe Catherine died due to their negligence.
The young Catherine Cando was a medical student at theCatholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil.

A father, wanting to gain magical powers, have strangled 5 of his children to death.

In a bid to obtain magical powers and move up in the hierarchy of the occult world, a Pakistani father had to strangle 5 of his 6 children to death, apparently believing the sacrifice would endow him with magical powers including alchemy.

According to the Mirror Newspaper, the man, 40-years-old Ali Nawaz Leghari, killed the two girls and three boys, aged between 3 and 13 years overnight in the village of Saeed Khan, some 230 kilometres north of the city of Karachi.
The police reports that Lerhari's low financial position and his desire to attain a top rank in the cult world prompted his action.
"The man's financial condition was bad but he was also learning black magic and it seems that he made the sacrifice to excel in the craft."
Amjad Sheikh, the district's police chief, confirmed the incident which occurred while Leghari was undertaking a 40-day spiritual journey, known as a 'Chilla' prescribed to him by a pir (living saint) that he hoped would teach him the art of alchemy.
Before he killed his kids, Leghari had earlier attempted to poison the family's dinner but was spotted by his wife, resulting in a bitter quarrel. The wife along with their eldest son left the house to go and stay with her parents.
With the pair out of the way, Leghari was able to successfully carry out his plan to sedate the remaining five children and then used a rope that was found at the scene to strangle them.
He strangled them one by one inside the room and later dumped them on a bed in the courtyard, before fleeing the area.
Black magic practices are rooted in mystic Sufi lore and have traditionally been the domain of pirs and aamils (sorcerers).
The practice is particularly strong in rural parts of the country including the impoverished southern Sindh province where the killings took place.

A young man who was defending his sister's honour is now in police net for murder

A 29-year-old driver with Worldwide Commercial Ventures located at Matori Industrial area of Lagos, Anthony Ogboru, has told the police that he killed his neighbour, Jonathan Ameh, during a fight on the 22nd of December, 2014, in self defence.

Now incarcerated at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), cell in Yaba, the Delta State indigene said it was not his intention to kill the father of 3 in the fight that ensued in their residence in Gowon Estate, Okonola, Egbeda, a suburb of Lagos.
According to Ogboru, the trouble that led him into becoming amurderer started when his rushed into their one-room apartment, tying on only a wrapper, to report that the deceased had dahsed into the bathroom while she was taking her bath and had seen her unclothedness.
Angered by the brazen act of his neighbour, Ogboru said he had gone to confront Ameh in his apartment but instead of showing remorse for his actions, the late Ameh took offence and started an argument with him, threatening to beat him up.
The argument generated into a fight which drew the attention of other tenants, some of who came out to calm the warring men.
Continuing, Ogboru said after they had been separated, he had gone to a restaurant in front of the compound to calm down when Ameh suddenly appeared with a rake with which he hit him on the head. In retaliation, he picked up a knife with the aim of defending himself but the knife 'mistakenly' pierced Ameh's chest.
Narrating his predicament in tears, Ogboru said:
"I never intended to kill him. I have never killed anyone in my life. It was a mistake. After my sister reported the matter to me, I went straight to Jonathan, not with the intention to fight with him.
I knocked on his door twice before he came out and angrily asked what I wanted. When I asked why he barged into the bathroom while my sister was bathing without even apologising to her, he responded by asking if that was why I came knocking that late. Thereafter, he banged the door in my face, saying I should leave if I had no better issue to discuss with him.
At that point, I shouted at the top of my voice, warning him to stay off my siblings and the next thing he did was to open the door and told me that I had no right to issue him any warning. He dared me to repeat the warning and when I did, he punched me in the face and we started fighting.
After the first round of fight, I was taken to a restaurant in front of my house. While there, Jonathan came from nowhere with an iron rake, which he landed on my head. He raised the rake again with the intention to hit me the second time.
At that point, I took a knife I saw in the restaurant with the aim of defending myself. In the process, it pierced into Jonathan’s chest.
I never knew it was stuck in his chest because we still continued fighting. Even when I saw blood, I thought it was from my body.
I feel very bad about the incident that caused his death. I swear I did it in self defence. We have never been at loggerheads.
Before the incident, my sister sold a phone to him for N3000. About a week later, he said the phone was bad and insisted that his money be refunded. I appealed to him to give me sometime to pay him.
But at the end, he said I should forget about the money and the matter ended like that. So, you see, I have no reason for killing him. It was all a mistake."
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said the suspect would soon be charged to court at the end of investigations.

Lionel Messi has alerted Manchester United to his potential availability by casting doubt over his future at Barcelona, with the Argentina forward admitting he does not know where he will be playing next year.

United are the only English club that could afford to buy Messi, particularly if Barcelona were to demand his €250m (£195m) buyout fee in one payment, which would be likely.

Although Manchester City have explored bringing the 27-year-old from Barcelona and retain an interest in him, Uefa’s financial fair play rules mean the champions would struggle to generate enough revenue and have the requisite cash reserves to buy the four-times world player of the year.

This is not the case at United, where Louis van Gaal has been assured there is no limit on the transfer budget. Ed Woodward, the executive vice-chairman, stated in July: “Whether it’s a [world] record or not doesn’t really resonate with us. What resonates is an elite player that the manager wants who is going to be a star for Manchester United.”

Alongside the buyout clause is Messi’s five-year contract, agreed last May, worth £16.3m a season. When this salary is factored in, the total cost of any deal for his transfer would be in the region of an eye-watering £275m.

Real Madrid are the only club who appear able to rival United’s financial muscle – Paris Saint-Germain would also have the restrictions of FFP to consider – but it seems inconceivable Messi would end up at Barcelona’s fiercest rival.

A father in Tudun Rubudi of Ungogo local government, Kano State has given his 13-year-old daughter to one of the four men who allegedly gang-raped her.

Usaini Ja’afar alongside Sani Isa, Jamilu Sani and Isa Musawere all arrested in December 2014 by Kano State Hisbah Board’s Dala Command after they were all found naked at an uncompleted building shortly after they had raped the 13-year-old girl.
According to Hisbah officials, three of the suspects confessed that they had raped the girl who was lured to the uncompleted building. During interrogations, one of the rapists, Usiani Ja’afar pleaded to marry the girl, begging her father to give his blessings.
The father, Malam Ya’u, a mechanic, spoke to Weekly Trustand revealed that he was at his garage working when Hisbah officials came with the news that his daughter had been raped.
Malam Ya’u said he wanted all of them to be tried and sent to jail for their crimes but had to change his stance after all of them showed remorse for the crime and one even pleading to marry the 13-year-old girl. “When all of them showed remorse, especially the one pleading to marry her, Ja’afar, I decided to temper justice with mercy,” the rape victim’s father told Weekly Trust.
According to Malam Yau, Usaini indicated his seriousness of marrying his daughter by carrying out the customary tradition of coming with his family to formally ask the hand of the girl in marriage. “He came with his uncle, who it turned out I already knew and had a cordial relationship with. So I accepted the request and will marry her off to him. In fact, the date for the wedding has been fixed since. I decided to allow him marry the girl because our consultations with our Malams (Islamic clerics) showed that there is nothing wrong about that,” Malam Ya’u said.
The forgiving father said he considered Ja’afar appeal because of the numerous plea he got from Usiani and his uncles. He also revealed that his daughter had undergone medical tests and result showed that she is okay.
According to our correspondent, a Kano-based Islamic scholar,Sheikh Fadlu Dan Almajiri Fagge, said that the Islam religion allows for a rape victim to marry the man who raped her provided certain conditions are met. “First, the girl has to observe Istibira’i, a month period to ensure absence of pregnancy. The girl should not also be among those prohibited for the rapist. Provided those conditions are met, marriage can take place with the consent of the girl and her parents,” Shiekh Fadlu Dan Almajiri Fagge said.

If there’s a worse knife thrower in the world, we really don’t want to know.
So it turns out Lithuania’s Got Talent (or not if this video’s anything to go by) is a tad more, well, terrifying than the British version.

And now we can all share its edge-of-seat glory after a video emerged on Youtube of quite possibly the world’s worst knife thrower.
The act features two men – the thrower and his younger assistant – both dressed in military uniform.
But early on in the performance it’s clear all is not as it should be, as a number of the throwers knives fail to penetrate the wooden wall his assistant is stood against.
Still, he continues to lob the blades at the wall, despite his assistant’s visibly increasing unease and scared side glances.
Anyway, we don’t want to ruin the whole horrible thing for you, but let’s just say the poor kid’s lucky to leave with all five digits on his left hand and his right ear.
Needless to say, we don’t think he got through to the next round.

As this new, social generation of young people begin graduating from college and entering the workforce, there are a few tips I’d like to share, to help them avoid some common mistakes.
The following mistakes were made by candidates in just one month, but they’d no idea they’d made them. I’m sharing them here so you can share them with your work-bound college grad.
After all, you don’t want them living at home forever…

1. Forgetting What Job You Applied For
So often a young person will begin mass applying for positions in their field of interest. Be sure to keep track and know what job you’re seeking.

A business owner this week shared his story of calling a promising prospect before the formal interview. He introduced himself and his company and then asked, “What about this position appeals to you?”
The response received was “Well ummm not really, I just thought it was an interesting job so um, well, um I don’t really know what the job is.” The spontaneous call can reveal far more than the resume.
Needless to say this young person was scratched from the list.
2. Being Rude Or Demanding
The old saying still applies: You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

It’s vital to be kind, professional and polite when interacting with anyone at an organization. So it’s imperative that no matter who you interact with—from the reception desk to the CEO, from the people you pass in the hall to the interviewer—you must act with the utmost professionalism.
You never know who makes the ultimate decision. The person you pass in the hall just may be the hiring manager, and they may ask the other employees what they thought of you, even if they’re not a formal part of the interviewing process.
A female executive this month interviewed a male recent graduate for a position. He was rude, arrogant, and condescending to the woman. After politely ending the conversation, the prospect called back, demanding the name and phone number of the man who was in charge.
Did he get the job? Unlikely.
3. Neglecting To Research The Organization And The Products They Provide
When you apply for a position, make sure you take the time to research the organization. Go to their website, review the About section to understand how the company began, who the founders are, and what the overall culture is: Are they a quirky start-up or a traditional Fortune 500?
Rehearse your answer to how you’d fit into this organization. From there, memorize their company strapline, research their products, and do as much research about the company as possible. Review all their social media pages and their posts to really gauge what’s important to them and how they portray their organization and products to the world.
When a young woman was recently asked to tell her interviewer to describe what the company did, the response was, “I really don’t know what you do. I’d have to look at my notes.”

4. Criticizing Or Disagreeing With The Brand Or Culture
“Your logo has to change.” This was the opening statement of a recent applicant for a software company with a quirky brand.
Brand and culture usually go hand in hand. When you’re interviewing, it’s critical to understand that—as a young person straight from college—you’re not going into this position to change the corporate brand or culture. The organization was built on a certain brand, concepts, philosophies and culture from its inception. This is primarily determined by the founders and those that helped build it from the ground up.
Brand and culture are at the very core of an organization. If you criticize the brand or disagree with the culture, you insult the people interviewing you, to the core of what they believe in.
You need to decide whether you can love the brand and fit into the culture—if not, you need to find another organization to work for.
5. Telling Each Person A Different Story About Yourself
Trust me they all talk. During the interview process you may meet anywhere from three to 15 people, going through many interviews before a decision is made. The complexity of an interview process is essential to finding the right organizational fit and buy-in from all members involved.
However, you can get into trouble if you tell everyone a different story of “you.” This speaks directly to your character, integrity and whether you truly know who you are and what you want.

Recently, a gentleman was looking to make a career change, and was interviewing with a company outside his previous experience. The initial phone interview went extremely well. The director said to me they thought this person was a perfect fit, even though their experience was weak: The candidate told a very compelling story about himself, which seemed completely unscripted.
But in the next round came a shock: The candidate told every member of the team a different story about himself and what he was interested in.
Each individual in the hiring process will talk and compare notes with the other interviewers. When their notes don’t match up, it becomes difficult to trust your character and integrity.
And it causes them to question if you really know what you want.
The Bottom Line
The job market is tough for a young person graduating with little experience. And the hiring process hasn’t gotten easier.
Gone are the days of showing up and winging the interview. In today’s world, the preparation you make before you step through the door to interview is key to successfully landing your dream job.

You can also put parsley leaves through a juicer and sip the juice anytime you need to refresh your breath. The parsley will also aid digestion by reducing the production of intestinal gas.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar makes a wonderful remedy for bad breath because of its acidic properties.
What to do: Stir one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into a glass of water and drink it before eating your meals. The vinegar will help in digestion as well as cure bad breath.
You can also drink one tablespoon of diluted apple cider vinegar after each meal.
You can also gargle often with apple cider vinegar mixed in a cup of water.
4. Baking Soda
Baking soda is great for preventing /getting rid of bad breath. Brushing your teeth with baking soda also reduce the acidity in your mouth and prevent bacteria from building up on the tongue.
You can also gargle with baking soda dissolved in warm water to kill odor-causing bacteria
Maintaining good oral health is essential for tackling bad breath, regular intake of water is also essential for keeping your breath fresh. After eating make it a habit to swish water around your mouth for a few seconds, this loosen food particles stuck between your teeth and helps clean up your mouth.
Note that if these do not help with the condition,seek proper medical attention as this could be as a result of an underlying health problem.
