1. You can create a new account.

2. You can combine different NOCs (A, B or 0) but the work experience must be within the last ten years. You must also have at least one year of continuous full-time (or an equal amount of continuous part-time) paid work experience in your primary NOC. This means you are good to go.

Many thks Sis.

Hello my people,

Please I have two questions:
Firstly, l hv IRCC profile account which l used for my study visa last year. ( Study visa didn't pull thru) Is it compulsory to use same account for my EE profile or l can simply get a new account for my EE account.

Secondly my job experience is in this order:
2009 - 2011 (Branch Secretary) different company
2012 - 2014 (Plant Secretary)
2014 - 2016 (Purchasing Officer) Note: same company where l worked as Plant Secretary but post was changed.
2016 Nov till date (Administrative Assistant) different company

How can l arranged this work experience considering the change of position (Purchasing Officer), because my NOC is Administrative Assistant which Job descriptions matches my other designation of Secretary. Kindly help me look into this. Thanks

@ glitteringstar and all other gurus in the house help a sister.

No its not, I requested for mine about two weeks after i made payment. Just mention that since you do not live in Canada, you are aware that you are not required to pay HST and you are therefore requesting a refund. You will get a response from them.

Please if someone in Nigeria used a Canada address for sending the hard copy of evaluation. Can the person still eligible to claim tax refund? This is my case though, Thk you.

Thank you so much Austinpee4,
Infact, I didnt just know what else to do to prove otherwise. I wish I had found this thread before my first application. The truth is that having left my career for so long has affected my life in so many ways. My HND result was low. I should have done PGD immediately like my contemporaries but I was sure from my husbands promises that business would pay me.

When I didnt get accepted for the pgd, I browsed the school programs and when I saw a Law related course, I opted for it because I had always wanted to do Law. I didnt know it would affect the visa approval. Should I do a PGD program here and then apply for a masters later in Canada? Would that help me?

Hello madam,

Seriously to get into masters with HND with lower credit is not a realistic dream (but l believe nothing is impossible).

Fine you studied Secretarial studies & obtained HND w/lower credit. Why don't you look into below programs that are career progression for a secretary:

* Administrative Assistant
* Executive Assistant
* Office Assistant
* Client customer service
* Business administration w/specialisation in office
managenent.

Although these programs still come in Diploma or PGD/C. Do a thorough google search you will get them in some colleges even universities. The purpose of visit would be conquered here.

Secondly to tackle your financial side follow the below suggestions:
* Open a dorm account in your name & ask your sponsor to transfer 1 year living expenses there.

* Pay part of your tuition - upload d receipt/telex copy in your application.

* Then the big thg is SOP/LOE (Statement of purpose/Letter of explanation. Here l would say going by your study gap you can buy into @Jnyuw02 about you talking of d challenge of home front blah blah blah, then need to brace up & pursue your career with new skills & knowledge required for a modern day secretary or Administrative Assistant. Also we can never over emphasised your future goal of gaining this new knowledge & your end game as per what you're coming to use it for in Nigeria (try & carve a niche for yourself here)

Lastly what is God saying about this decision or plan of yours cos its important. If its God's plan then the ground is soften and it will end in praise for you.

Anyway l am a female & an Administrative Assistant. You can pm me & let's collabo.

I got these knowledge & understanding on this platform after my initial Visa denial having read all the old pages like a wounded lion. I like these guys @thesoj, @yemdogg, @Austinpee, @Canadian nurse, @ wealth 360 etc.... Very selfless people l pray may God reward your service.

Good morning family,

To those that have notarized documents, did you give copies to notary public for record purpose? my notary public is asking for photocopies of the certified true copies.

Secondly, Does vfs accept colored copies of other documents apart from admission letter?

Thanks all in anticipation for a quick response.

Ideally a notary public should keep a copy for record purpose and reference in future. I remember when l notarized my transcripts & certificates last year they made copies for their file.

I asked why and they explained that some embassies or wherever its going do call them occasionally to confirm.

Really its bother less.

I did online application can't answer the second question.

guys pls look at this SOP sample and analyse for me.. i didnt include the introductory paragraph.... (priv)

Owing to my background of undergraduate studies one will take it has confusing to want to pursue such a program, however from my working experience in a technology driven institution, I have discovered that to a great extent, I could be somewhat limited in career advancement especially with my current job. My current job descriptions expects me to be apt and knowledgeable in both basic and advanced IT skills in terms of banking systems and operations and general technological trends for example, ATM management (in terms of cash and system balancing, ATM maintenance to ensure all parts are fully functional and ), financial analysis, computation of customer database, handling of customer transactions through system software posting applications, POS transactions and reconciliations, vault/system management, supervisory roles to mention but a few. Currently my office keeps deploying new system soft wares and applications which surprisingly are created from senior colleagues that have expanded their knowledge in IT and software applications to an extent they have become consultants not just to zenith bank but to other companies in need of software instalment, management and repairs. For the sake of career advancement and latest trends in technology advancement in my country, I had to go in search of a suitable program to give me an edge amongst my colleagues. That was when I came across the program, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS

@imoriafe. this is a good one but let each paragraph has a caption or heading, this will make the reading interesting & not boring E.g

1. Brief intro abt urself, education & stuff

2. Why Information Tech. Solution

3. Why Canada & not Nigeria to undertake the program

4. Why Humber

5. Financial Qualifications & Assets

6. Future plans or wat to d wt the knowledge acquired upon return to Nigeria

Note:. Your SOP already answered these questions but just draw them down under each caption.

Wish you success. Am not a guru oo but a silent learner cum observer on this platform.

Best way to save your money is to cook, or make your foods. If you keep buying, foods such as burger like 4 dollar above, Nigerian foods from naija restaurants usually like 12-15 dollars. If you buy foodstuffs, you can buy 8kg of rice for like 7 or 8 dollars, Chicken drums about 6 for like 3-8 dollars, while chicken frozen for like 4-6 dollars. It all depends on store, stores like Walmart, No frills are known to be cheap. And for things like utensils visit the store called Dollar Rama, most thing are from 1 dollar to 4 dollars max. You get your plates , towels, and other little things there. Hope this helps.

Hello bosses,

Sorry for the silence. I have been busy with settling down and meeting deadlines.

So, a quick update.

Got my Social Insurance Number (SIN) on friday after many persuasion from my supervisor. It is a 5 minutes process atleast in my case. So even if you dont ger to do it at your POE, you can always do it at any Service Canada office closest to you (they are everywhere).

I dont know if I mentioned this earlier, please hold enough cash when coming. This is your first time in a new location and settling down might be abit on the high side until you get stable.

For those renting apartments, usually landlords require the first and last month rent before they lease. So if your rent is 450/month, you will be required to pay 900 instantly, then subsequent rent will be monthly. Now, you see where having cash at hand is necessary. You might use your ATM, but be sure that ATM is working to avoid stories. Better still, have cash at hand for immediate needs and some in your account.

Spending tips... use discount offers if they are being offered, spend when necessary, look for items on sale (even the people wey get the land sef dey look out for discount and sales...so no go dey form).

Lastly, if you sabi bone well, you go need to adjust your face oh to accommodate smiling, because dem sabi smile well for here even for the offices.

Safe journey to those landing this week and the coming weeks.

For the TRV hopefuls, goodnews is around the corner.

@dere, @yomalicious and those delayed, I salute your never giving up spirit. God go do am.

Regards everybody,

Mazi.

This is not fair, we all have same intentions. They would have just flagged that online applications isn't treated for applicants from this part of the world. How can someone apply since March/April 28 with upfront medical yet no details of medical status updated. We were billed higher and online is suppose to be faster. One thing is clear here, their actions are deliberate!

Sweeping some applications under the carpet is corruption. Lol! Joke apart, some applications have stayed beyond waiting period yet they are not attended.

@PendD. Dearie this energy u're using here could be used to seek the favour of God upon your application in prayers. Wether online or paper route, Calastus or Ghanastus lol..... ( can't help but laugh at all ur assumptions.)

Kindly be patient & trust God to d end. @ lbbravura, with dt nice app, he fasted 30 days.

To all trv hopefuls, May God smile on u wt favour on ur apps. Do u know wat we're in it together. I submitted 18th may & no shaking wt God. Hello guys, after a refusal mail from IRCC today.
I decided to message my department @usask about the visa refusal and that I intend to reapply, I asked them if I can defer my admission and funding till Jan 2018 resumption, the department then told me that if my supervisor will accept that, they will accept also and they will reprint my offer letter and funding letter with new date for Jan 2018 entry and fortunately for me, my supervisor ACCEPTED!

what do you guys think?
Defer or reapply again for September 2017 visa?
Please I need ur contributions guys

@ Abdon if l may suggest, owing to d fact dt ur funding is still intact l think u shd defer d admission so as to hv enough time to work wt d gurus to perfect ur app ( see them showing much love & willing to assist - don't take dt for granted).

On d other hand, if u think your sponsor can come up wt say #5m thereabout in his soa & you too can boost small. Also do constructive SOP as advised. You may dive in b4 d month runs out.

But all d same, best is still deferment. January is not far oo. And u can submit your reapplication in August or September u know at least 5 months (Dec. is full of holidays).

Wish you all d best.

This is sad news.
You got funding and should have been a plus.
Did your sponsor have upto $10,000 plus balance of tuition. I e (about N10m).
It would have been a plus for you.
Re-apply with a large statement balance. I wish you well.

This one really shook me oo, but l think his personal statement of account is low & we don't know d balance in his sponsor's soa too. His employment history too is not known. My suggestion is this wen u hv a very strong profile like this dt comes with advantage of funding, try to contact d gurus here @thesoj, austeenpee,Canadian nurse etc. they would hv assisted in seeing d lapses which the applicant might not see.

Anyway, this VO Sha is a mean person, because seeing a first class student shd make d decision favourable. I will suggest u improve ur personal soa to like #2m & ur sponsor's own shd be good. Reference to a case last wk of a guy dt got his trv, having funding but d guy was careful & showed he has sufficient money even wt his fundings.
Quickly consult with @ thesoj with humility. I think u can reapply immediately, but do online please.

@Abdon it's well, u're 99% there. Sure
