Facts:

We never be able to match Man City and Chelsea on money to spend on players.

Wenger is really the best match for a club like Arsenal at this point in time

Wenger has made some basic errors.

He should have bought Shay Given

He should not have waited till the last day of Jan to put a bid in for Sorensen

He should have bought Hangeland

After losing Van P and realising that Eduardo has lost it, maybe he should have paid 5m for Chamkh instead of trying for a freebie.

He should also sell a few of the injury prone players and buy more stable ones. My choice would be Rosicky, Theo and maybe Diaby

The problem is Wenger is actually a gambler and also very stubborn.

But I honestly cannot see any other manager doing better within the finances of Arsenal.

He is also a victim of his own success and hence fans now want more but due to my age I remember much worse years and maybe that is why I have a bit more patience with Wenger.

In the end everyone on this forum has different opinions and we are all guessing and no one is right or wrong.

Mukina, no allow these yeye spuds abuse you o!

That smelly Rose guy will never get as good as a fluke goal like that in his whole remaining career!

And that Bale self, he is really the real half man half money mutant.

Gomes, instead of you to be saving goals on a consistent basis, you have uysed them all up against Arsenal.

Anyway beat Man U and maybe we will give you some praise (only small o!)

How long is TV5`s suspension please!!!
Read the thread. It is a one match ban.

The same it has been ever since for a straight red that is due to stopping a goal scoring oppotunity.

@ Slim

I agree Walcott deserves the MOM - more performances like that from him and I will be well pleased.

I don't see where Bendtner has claimed 'still developing' as the reason for his misses - he simply had a bad day in front of goal, but the fans recognised his efforts and gave him a good ovation when he went off. I am sure Bendtner himself knows he had a stinker in terms of finishing, but he'll be pleased to be getting into great positions and timing his runs correctly again.

I am personally not too bothered - he's gotten all the bad misses out of his system now so he will resume banging in the goals as from Tuesday night. cool
I thought Nasri was the much better player on the day, he was very good, even when Cesc was on the pitch.

dmxqo:
If anyone think Arsenal players are victims and targeted, then i dont accept. True it was a horrible tackle but d person involvd matters. If such tackle was aimed at Drogba, he may come out unharmed, but these Arsenal players are young, and when exposd to some kinds of tackle it results in horrific sights. Arsenal is nt a target. Yet refrees should try to protect these youngsters from some 'shaw' monsters!
How can I control myself and not abuse someone when they post this?

Eduardo is a baby abi? Or why did his leg break?

Or Adebayor na baby when Shawcross (a baby himself o) put him out for 3 weeks?

Absolute tosh.

ritchboy:
Eboue is still the best right-back in the league. Its not his fault Wenger went all "mad-scientist" and tried to convert him into a winger/central-midfielder.
The kind of performances he put in at right-back in 05/06 & 06/07 no other player has been able to match, FACT!!
Huh?? No freaking way.

If a right backs first priority is to defend then Sagna is better than Eboue.

Eboue is better when going forward than Sagna is.

So depending on who you are playing would decide who is better to use.

One other issue with Eboue is that the guy is simply a clown, one minute he is running at defenders brilliently the next he is falling over his own feet. No one can predict him and he also loves diving.

Do not get me wrong, I love the guy and am always doing the Eboue song and dance but the guy get as he be.

rasputinn:
I agree he gets into positions quite alright, but what's the use of getting into positions without converting your chances,it's like eating pap with the aroma of akara and not with the akara itself
Sorry, my point was that without him we would create even less chances! Hopefully he will not be as wasteful again. He did this awhile ago, I remember when we played Burnley at Turf Moor in the cup last season he wasted about 6 chances that day as well.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Vs Burnley [3 - 0] on March 6 by Vieira(m): 9:51pm On Mar 06, 2010
I agree that Bendnter was very wasteful, but the horrible truth about Arsenal without Van P is that if Nick was not playing no other Arsenal striker would even be in those positions to make those misses! He is still our only credible front man.

manmustwac,

I see you are still trying to keep thhis dead thread alive.

Well I always like helping out my less fortunate neighbours.

I will post a few things to help keep this thread alive:

The Spuds new staduim plans have been roundly criticised, looks like a copy of the superior staduim at the Grove.

4th position is once again looking dodgy, nothing new there

Arsenal are once again the much better team.

You sold Keane, then bought him back and now have loaned him out again! what a joke.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (In Arsenal We Trust) by Vieira(m): 1:55pm On Mar 05, 2010
For me Theo has gone backward in his development.

But he has age on his side.

Please let us beat Burnley and beat them badly.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Whats Wayne Bridge's Problem? by Vieira(m): 4:26pm On Feb 28, 2010
Ex or not Ex, I do not expect my best mate to be sleeping with my baby mother.

I would not want to be in the same camp with him as well, I would knock his bleeping block off.

Bridge actually has done what is best for England and not what is best for himself.

He could have gone to the camp and made it a very tense place, but how will that help england?

The best thing is that JT should actually step down from the squad himself.

But he does not seem that kind of person, more of a me me me type.

It amazes me that you can come on here and spew your utter bollocks when a kid has been badly hurt.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Stoke City Vs Arsenal [1 - 3] On Saturday, 27th Feb by Vieira(m): 4:01pm On Feb 28, 2010
No one said he meant to break his leg you fools.

The point is he thought neccessary to go in extra hard simply because that is what all teams are told to do against Arsenal.

He could not win the ball but still meant to show "aggression" by being physical.

When you play with that attitude sooner or later a broken leg is the result.

3 times against Arsenal players now in 4 years, all done by average english footballers who could not live with skill and pace and hence overcompensate with misplaced aggression.

I am 6'2" and quite big and constantly play against smaller but quicker players with loads more skill than I have, I am yet to break someones leg.

As a player you know when to tackle and when to show aggression without endangering your fellow player.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Stoke City Vs Arsenal [1 - 3] On Saturday, 27th Feb by Vieira(m): 9:31pm On Feb 27, 2010
"Arsenal do not like it up em"

"Rough em up"

"They cannot cope with physical football"

"They are a small team easily bullied off balls"

Comments like these are constantly bandied about by stupid commentators and journalists, these are the comments that make some stupid northern clogger who thinks he is a footballer break an Arsenal players leg.

I am fed up with this and I say enough is enough, if you cannot match our skill without resorting to GBH then quit the fucking league!

C U Next Tuesday!

Anyway let's talk about the useless spuds, whenever will you ever live up to the hype? I don dey hear top 4 for the yids every season after spending millions and millions but all na lie.
