But the last Superman was really bad now!

And I am not saying it is the best but one of them.

The first season was almost exactly the same as the first book. Only the ages of the children are different.

OMG, i bleeping love The walking dead, also Dexter,trueblood,American horror story,TvD,Game of thrones,greys' anatomy and the big slam theory, don't mind me i watch too much tv, for those shows i'm hardcore fan,shows apart from the afformentioned i just watch for guilty pleasure

True Grit

Another awesome movie, two in one weekend yay!

I enjoyed this western movie very much and mainly due to the three strange characters at the centre of it and the use of old scholl cowboy speak. At this point I will admit to cheating and putting on subtitles when I could not work out what was being said.

Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon were awesome and their rivalry was a pleasure to match, the young girl was one of the best cinematic creations in a way, I loved her precociousness and determination all in a 14 year old. Awesome.

Great acting, intriging if simple plot and great direction

All in all a great watch.

My score? 8/10

Chronicle

This is a GREAT film and I loved it.
This is a story about 3 guys who happen to gain abilities beyond others and unlike the normal movies based on a book or comic we don't know these guys at all and how they are going to turn out.

It was very refreshing and the movie spent enough time on us getting too know the guys and you'll connect with them. We see them gradually learn how use the abilities and it is not rushed at all.

Then when everything goes a bit wrong it is even more exciting because we have no idea how it ends!

The acting was spot on and only the marginal love interest did not seem right also scene with Andrew and the girl at the party is standard teenage movie fare but still excellant.
The film is in the style of Cloverfield and Blair Witch using videocam footage but I thought this enhanced the movie even more and I guess also allowed them to scale down the budget for some of the more fantastic sequences.

Adjustment Bureau - 7/10 not a bad movie about how the power of love can overcome even supernatural interference.

Sherlock Holmes season 1. So good so far

Rango: Animated movie about a Lizard that goes from a comfortable but lonely life to living in the desert with the denizens of a town called Dirt. He decide to give himself a new name and a new history, pretending to be a tough gunslinger.

The town swallow his lies when he takes out an Eagle but all soon comes unravelling when faced with the plot of the evil mayor and especially his hired gun Rattlesnake Jim.

This is a story of redemption.

It was done well enough and the voice actors did a marvellous job but I liked Rattlesnake Jim and the Spirit of the West the best.

Not a bad movie, I give it a pleasant 6/10

My son Tade is reading this review and disagrees with me, he says it has some action in it and hence should be 9/10! Kids!

There is this film, I've forgotten its name, a boy and a dog, the boy will sit down fold his legs and bring out a ring which makes him disappear after stroking the ring. Thats the only scene I can recollect for now.

There is this other one, an Asian worrior with a short cutlass, I guess the name of the movie is Sandoki

Another one, a michievous grass man, that always stay on a cross in a farm, I can't get the name now.

Do anyone in the house remember this magazines; DRUM, SPEAR, BEMBELA, VINTAGE PEOPLE, PRIME PEOPLE, DAUDA

The Asian one has to be Sandokan

The grass man sounds like Worzel Gurmagde he was a scarecrow

Paul: Two geeks on a road trip from Comic-con (one day I will realise that dream) meet an alien.

This film is basic and simple and is meant to be very funny, well it is funny in some parts but not enough, for me this is a missed opportunity.
I loved how this started off at Comic -con as this is the mecca for all geeks but alas that was the best part of the film!

Score: 5/10

Machete - I did not know if I should laugh or cry at this movie.
This was a purposefully badly made movie and it was just ridiculous, I can't really describe it.
But it had one great visual Michelle Rodriguez almost topless with an eyepatch and machine gun, that was smoking hot!

Score: unscorable!
