Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

This is the 4th in the series and for me it is the second best one after the first one. This franchise needs to get back to what worked in the first one and with Ghost Protocol they are almost there, the key ingredient of MI apart from action pieces has always been the complex plot where you had to keep track of the double crosses.
In this movie the action pieces are awesome, the scene with Cruise jumping from that Dubai hotel was off the hook, but for me more important was the fact that it had a credible plot and how HOT was that girl? Hubba hubba!
I give this a satisfying 8/10

Now to watch Sherlock Holmes hopefully!

Source Code: A decent enough sci-fi'ish movie, I enjoyed it well enough but was constantly bugged by the science of this. It made no sense whatsoever!

If he was only re-inhabiting the memory of that guy then he should only be able to re-observe what the guy originally observed with no deviations.

But as proved in the end he was creating new realities but yet the scientists did not cotton on to that? From the moment he talked about getting of the train and doing stuff the original guy never did it should have been obvious to them!

Anyway maybe i think too much about stuff like this.

Good movie 6/10

Attack the Block - Area boys vs Aliens

Lets clear one thing up first, I loved this film equally as a B movie lover, a Londoner and a black guy.

When this film was released there was uproar in the UK, some middle class peeps thought it condoned the wild behaviour of inner street kids, the opening scene with the heroes of the movie mugging a defenseless woman does not help.

BUT I applaud this film for avoiding the normal cliches and being brave enough to show us that people can be little sh*ts and also stand up to be counted at a later time.

People not familier with London Patois speak may struggle a bit as they for once did not dilute the language, the film throughout had these guys speaking pure street. I was okay with it but I remembered how I struggled with the TV series called the Wire when they talked pure american ghetto speak.

It is a good funny in parts and gory in others independent UK movie and I don't regret buying it rather than renting it.

Will watch it again.

The plot: Aliens land in an inner London estate and the local young hoodlums take them on. Xbox generation kids on BMX's with flick knives fighting Aliens, what is not too like?

I wanna get into Sons of Anarchy. I've heard nothing but great things about it.
Tried watching breaking bad and I just couldn't get into it.
Also I might give Misfits a whirl. I cannot wait for Spartacus

The Fighter - Awesome movie, loved it. Top actors, top story, top action and based on true life.

How has Mark Wahlberg become such a great actor? This is Marky Mark for gods sake but now he is just knocking it out of the park everytime he is onscreen.

Bale is always good anyway.

I find that this is the best remake ever made and I recommend it to everyone who likes films of Napoleon Bonaparte´s time . The film is very clear directed.

Congratulation to Kevin Reynolds and to the actors Jim Caviezel and Guy Pierce who did a very great job. The act of revenge was similar to the one of "Gladiator"; another masterpiece to not miss. I will add this one no doubt in my best of dvd collection. 8/10.</sup> [/size]

Guy Pearce does not ever give a bad performance. Loved Count of Monte Cristo and it is a top film

GL animated series - the animation seemed incomplete, and reminded me of an inferior Toy Story! I hope it gets better and they introduce other non Hal GL's from Earth

Doctor Who movie? Not too sure about that and how will it with the tv series?

Crazies - This film had it all! Bad acting, cliche moments, terrible script, only white people and the most useless ending ever.
Plot: town gets infected with insanity after a biological weapon is accidently released.

Score? 2/10 and that is me being generous

The Champ. When he started shouting wake up champ I had to hide my face from my mates as tears started falling.

Four Kings - really weird comedy about four Indians in the UK wanting to be terrorists.
This film Confused me a lot because at times it seemed serious, then a parody and even racist.
It is funny in parts but I believe sends a weird message, I could not comprehend the attitude of the wife and kid to their Dads plans for blowing himself up!

Anyway, they went with Hal Jordan for GL. Some funny moments though.

Nothing beats the original "I am your father" scene from Empire Strikes Back. I remember thinking how could a film end with the baddies winning?

This is England - Bleak look at UK in the 70's / 80's and skinheads. I lived through some of this and it was weird looking back with adult eyes via this film. Well filmed and acted and rang very true. 8/10

Immortals - storyline is absolutely disgraceful, no attempt to give any depth or logic to the characters. This film has only one saving grace, it is beautiful to watch! The graphics, action sequences and special effects were off the hook. The Gods fighting was awesome.
I give the script 3/10 and the graphics 8/10. Overall though the lack of a decent plot is a killer making it an overall 5/10
Cavill had no range to play with, just eye candy for the girls and Mickey Rourke had no real logical motivation.

Due Date - Funny road trip tyep movie with Downy Jnr and the hairy guy from hangover. I laughed out loud quite a few times. easily a 7/10

Africa United - Very moving movie about a group of kids in Africa walking to the world cup in South Africa, I was like a big soppy girl watching this, very emotional. Not much happens in terms of a real storyline but simply heart warming. a solid 7/10

Unstoppable - Denzel and Christ Pine in a film based on true life events.
I enjoyed this and the performances were good by the two main leads, the rest phones it in!
Story is about a train that is out of control and attempts to stop it.

The adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. Great 3D animation coupled with average storyline. They may have tried to be too faithful to the comic but it did not translate well for me. My Son loved it on the other hand! My score is a 5/10

She just did not fit the role at all at all! She was meant to be a nuclear scientist for gods sake. Which uni they produce such hotties as nuclear scientists? To
