Na wa o. What was he doing in Indonesia? 1000 indonesian rupiah = 27.45 Nigerian naira. Will he be sending money here or they'll send money to him? Just saying. RIP though.

You don't check currency like that. People already in the system will tell you how it goes. Here in Vietnam, their exchange rate to naira is 1000 VND to 16.63 NAIRA but their minimum wage is 72,000 per month. How can you compare it with Nigeria who are yet to embrace 36,000 minimum wage. The basic of life is far much ber than the so place their currency is much. That's by the way.

May the soul of the dead rest in the Lord. Guys should always come to Asian countries with the right documents and abstain from doing any illegal things because the result will always be painful.

When living abroad, always make sure your immigration status is up to date

When living abroad don't come in and be working on a tourist visa. Get the right visa

If our countryman's papers had been okay, he won't be hiding from immigration

Let's avoid stories that touch. Let's do the right thing.

You have said it all brother. Exactly what I used to tell anyone who has interest of coming to Vietnam. Asians are not playing with staying illegal in their country. Instead of you to travel to Asian countries without proper papers, it is best you stay back in Nigeria. Rest in peace to the dead.

Is there any future for me as a contract employee in a Nigerian bank. Pay is 60k after tax. In Lagos the cost of living is very harsh.

My dilemma is I'm not fulfilled being a contract staff. Feel like I'm wasting my youthful days. Though, I have online biz to survive on if at all I resign. I'm also building more model.

But then, I'm looking at the career prospect in the future.

I need elderly advise pls

I need front page please biko ejo

All I will advise you is to remain steadfast and do your job diligently. There are many people wanting to take that your job and preferred to be paid less that your salary. It is not rosy outside the labour market once Nigeria is co concern. I will advise you to have a goal target and works towards it. Save atleast 50k a month and have a goal plan of working for 1or 2 year depending on your goal plans and make use of your savings to start up something or know what you will use it to go into. May God be your guild.

How are you surviving Vietnam, are their citizens okay with you and treating you well. (Those people look like one of those #mind your business crew)

Vietnam is one of the best Asian countries to travel and live. They are the most friendly citizens i have ever seen. They love foreigners like anything good. If not because of my fiancee in Denmark, I am not ready to move out. Many foreigners are here as an English teachers. Vietnamese can starve themselves to help you as a foreigners. It is only teaching Jobs that foreigners can get because they don't have much other jobs.

Ok cool since your fiance is based there then you will be of help to the op

The only help I can be to him is all I just mentioned to him. Either he goes through Student's visa, Refugee or look for a Danish woman that can send her IV to come over and he can marry her during the 90 days visa duration. Danish Visa as a Nigeria is very hard but with God grace, it is very possible. OP keep trying and God will see you through

Your best bet is going through studies. To get a Danish visa as a Tourist from Nigeria is a bit hard. Danish government needs people who are resourceful and in return improve their country. They frown at people coming for hustling. When you distinguish yourself as an academic or with a well sort out skill, you can be giving a free entry. Be aware that before you can work their, you need to go back to school there either in language school or their university. Your University certificate will do little or nothing in terms of securing job for you. I base in Vietnam but my Fiancee is based there and this info was what she revealed to me. Google is also your friend as well

My take is that Nigerians staying back home hate Nigerians living abroad. What help are Nigerian government giving to their stranded citizens. It is so bad that after so many freewill donations by Nigerians and foreign aids, Nigerian government is still tasking their citizens on the amount to pay before they are airlifted. i weep for Nigeria

Who cares. Who is even returning to that "shithole" country call Nigeria. I pity those who will return back home. If Federal Government pays for everything, i bet you that no Nigeria in Vietnam is even ready to return back home. How can one jump from frying pan to fire. Who does that?... lol

I deal with fact and not hear say. The same letter was sent to us in Vietnam too and no one cares to listen to them. How can one run from frying pan to fire. Vietnam has 200+ cases of Covid 19 and no death reported and almost all are treated and discharged without paying a kobo to the vietnam hospital. They were all fed by the vietnam government and most milliary baracks were used for Qurantine. Nigeria, which way?

Travel / Re: New Twist In Evacuation Of Nigerians From Canada by Vietnaminfo(m): 5:34am On May 16, 2020
Nigerian High commission in Asia is even the worst. This is a letter we got from Thailand Embassy in Bangkok about how much people who chose to return home have to pay. The same letter was posted at Vietnam Embassy in Vietnam too. Booking a hotel prior before being airlifted. They ask Nigerians to pay for the airlift as well. No one is even talking with them because Vietnam is 101% among the whole countries of the world when it comes to Corona virus containment.

Travel / Re: Nigerians In SOUTH KOREA- What Is The Condition And Hustle Over There. by Vietnaminfo(m): 8:26pm On Apr 17, 2020
OP, the possibility of getting a south korean Visa in Nigeria is so slim except on Students visa. If you so much like to migrate to South Korea as a Nigerian, there is means you can do that without issue. Be let assured you need to leave Nigeria first before that can happen. I am in Vietnam as an English teacher. Vietnam is good if you are a graduate with a good accent. There is no much factory jobs here and the ones available pays very poor. It is only English teacher that have the best salary so far. You can easily migrate to South Korea when you have gotten your VietnamTemporary Residence Card. With 2million, it can bring you here in Vietnam and still see you off to South Korea. Goodluck in your Abroad pursuit

Seems she may have been placed in administrative processing, if she was asked to get some documents after her visa interview. If theyve received the documents, I think they handle cases on a first come first serve bases. And now with this Coro thing who knows if they are still going to work or working remotely. Looks like it may be a while before you hear from them...maybe a month or two?It is well. All hope is not lost. Regarding her inadvertently stating that she has never been denied a visa, I dont know if now that her case is in administrative processing and they are doing thorough vetting, if that may be used against her. In everything, especially regarding immigration, its always good to be as honest as possible. Nevertheless all hope is not lost. Sending my prayers. The other 4 applicants where they also issued the white paper requesting additional documents?

Thanks for your cleared reply so far. They are one family members that the mum stood out as the principal applicant. She was only one issued the white paper and asked to send her family picture through DHL address.

You didnt tell us what category of visa she applied for. Also did she receive a white paper stating that she is being considered for a waiver? Or did she receive a blue paper? Also was her passport and her police report collected? These are good signs if these were taken. ALso what do you mean by an agent selected No instead of yes when she was asked if she has been denied a visa application? Has she been denied in the past? If so then that may be a problem.

The her Visa Category is F31. She was given a white sheet were she was asked to include the family picture and send to the specified DHL address which she sent. All other documents including their Police Report were submitted on the day of interview. She was not told to include their Passport neither was she asked to include it in the picture sent to them. She has gone for Non Immigrant visa with her son which they were refused. Please, what does she expect to do at this period concerning the visa result? 4 members of her family were interviewed and she happened to be the Principal Applicant. Attached is the white paper given to her after their interview

It’s nothing to panic about Vietnaminfo, The term “Refused” is the word they use now instead of the “administrative processing”. It simply means they are reviewing it. And moreover I’ve seen cases “refused” that later change to issued.

Thanks so much for this. I will keep my fingers closed and wait. Her passport and that of his family members were not collected on the da of their interview. The agent that helped her filled the Immigrant visa form selected NO instead of YES in the column were she was asked if she has ever been deneied Visa application before. I just pray and wish it comes out good.
