Biko, live and let live undecided

You that has been hustling since 1900 what have you achieved undecided. See how worn-out your two trucks look, you can’t even afford to buy new trucks.

I doubt if those trucks have brakes undecided.

Nigeria need prayers right now. God need to deliver us from rapist, murderers, kidnappers and evil leaders.

Reflect on this: life extends beyond prayers. Security personnel must be proactive, demanding better governance. Rather than relying solely on prayer, actively pursue opportunities beyond Nigeria. Some Nigerians, particularly the Igbo, mistakenly put excessive faith in prayers. The Bible underscores the need for faith coupled with action, emphasizing the importance of timing in life's endeavors.
Travel / Re: Japa: 10 Countries People NEVER Regret And REGRET Moving To by Vietnaminfo(m): 10:15am On Jan 21
What is Vietnam doing in that list? I believe the Op never stepped out of Nigeria. What statistics do you use in arriving at your concept. Vietnam is still better than most countries in western land, apart from salary scale. I have been to almost all the countries you listed but still prefer Vietnam over some of them.

Travel / Re: Beware Of Phone Browsing History When Traveling by Vietnaminfo(m): 6:49pm On Dec 29, 2023
Tetraozonaitera:
I just remembered what a younger colleague of mine in the US told me.
When he was traveling to the US years back, he was delayed at the airport by US immigration.
They were interrogating him and some others.
For more than one hour he was delayed. The person waiting to pick him up was worried too as she waited.

He said, one of the interrogating officers asked for his phone and he instantly gave it to him.
He said the first place the guy went to was his browsing history.

"Why did you have to Google AK/47?" The guy asked.

He said when he heard the question he smiled and the guy was surprised.

"Can you answer the question please?" The guy said.

"Can I have my phone back so I can show you why sir?" My guy replied.

The officer handed the phone back to him and my guy went into his picture folder and showed him some photos of himself at work.
He is an artist and shortly before the time of traveling, he was handling a sculpture project of a Soldier. So, he needed the picture references of AK/47 to get a perfect job.

The officer looked at him and got convinced.

He said, some of the other guys were taken to the room for deportation. Some of them were Nigerians and they were already crying.
My guy was freed and he has since been living there.

Be careful of browsing history when traveling.
The devil can use anything to kill someone's joy.
Something that individuals who aren't familiar with IT might not realize is that even if you delete, format, or clear everything on your phone, there's a system that immigration can use to retrieve and display all the activities performed on the device. It's important for people to be aware of this to find peace of mind.

OP.... 2 seconds of sharing a harmless video wouldn't have cost you nothing. Sometimes, it takes time , constant reminder for a bussiness deal to be executed. I have a situation where it took me few months to close a bussiness deal with a supplier. The supplier kept on reminding me and I said, I need to sort this out once and for all and I paid for his service. Sometimes, it takes time for one to arrive at a bussiness deal. Hold your emotions if you really want to succeed in this life.

Romance / Re: Sex On The First Date by Vietnaminfo(m): 3:17am On Dec 02, 2023
Engaging in sex on a first date is a personal choice shaped by beliefs, comfort levels, and mutual agreement. Reasons supporting this choice include:

Consent and Mutual Desire: When both individuals willingly agree and genuinely desire a physical relationship, it can strengthen their connection.

Compatibility Exploration: It can quickly reveal sexual compatibility, potentially saving time if there's a significant mismatch.

Challenging Norms: It empowers individuals to follow their desires, challenging societal expectations.

Building Intimacy: Some find that physical intimacy accelerates emotional intimacy and trust.

However, considering personal values, readiness, safety, and potential consequences like emotional attachment, STIs, or unintended pregnancies is crucial. Open communication and mutual respect are essential due to differing comfort levels and boundaries. As for me, sex on a first date binds me closer to the individual.

Family / Re: My Wife's Sudden Change After Childbirth is driving me nuts! by Vietnaminfo(m): 7:56pm On Sep 05, 2023
I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through a difficult and emotional time in your relationship. It's important to approach such situations with patience and empathy. Here's some advice to consider:

Communication: Instead of resorting to drastic measures like divorce, try to have an open and honest conversation with your wife. Ask her how she's feeling and why she has changed. It's possible that she's going through postpartum issues, stress, or other challenges that you're not aware of. Listening to her perspective is crucial.

Seek Professional Help: Consider couples counseling or therapy. A trained therapist can provide a safe space for both of you to express your feelings and concerns. They can also offer guidance and strategies to improve your relationship.

Empathy and Understanding: Try to put yourself in her shoes. Becoming a parent for the second time can be incredibly stressful, and it can trigger a range of emotions. She might be struggling with her own feelings and might need your support and understanding.

Take Care of Yourself: It's essential to take care of your own mental and emotional well-being too. Instead of drinking to cope, consider healthier ways to manage stress, such as exercise, meditation, or talking to a therapist yourself.

Patience: Relationships go through ups and downs. The period after having a child can be especially challenging. Give it time and space, and remember that change takes time. Rushing into decisions like divorce can have long-lasting consequences for both you and your children.

Family Support: Reach out to friends and family members for support and advice. Sometimes, an outside perspective can provide valuable insights.

Legal Advice (if necessary): If you seriously believe that divorce is the only option, consult with a family law attorney to understand the legal process and your rights and responsibilities. However, it's recommended to explore all other options before taking this step.

Remember that relationships are complex, and it's common for challenges to arise, especially during significant life changes like having a child. Seek professional guidance and approach the situation with empathy and a willingness to work together on finding solutions.

Oh , sorry about that.

Id like to know the best way to get to Vietnam to teach English. Ive had the idea for over 4 years but ive been busy with othr things , so I finally made up my mind.

Is it through schooling (Msc) , so once i'm there, I can start job hunting or applying directly from here for jobs before getting there? Im about to register fot Tefl..

Consider pursuing a TESOL and C1 certification. If you have a trusted agent, it might be wise to work with them, as going through school could complicate your visa conversion. Directly applying for a work visa could be more efficient. Wishing you the best of luck!

I'm inquiring on behalf of a family friend, who has completed her initial degree in Biochemistry, followed by a second degree in Pharmacy, and is currently concluding her Masters. Now at the age of 42, she is married and has 6 children. She's contemplating applying for the Express Entry program and is seeking clarity regarding her eligibility prospects. If anyone could provide a straightforward response regarding her chances and suggest any suitable programs, she's open to embracing them. She's also considering registering for the IELTS. Is this a worthwhile step?
Travel / Re: Nigerians Please Stop Discouraging Others From Coming Abroad by Vietnaminfo(m): 5:45am On Aug 19, 2023
Nobody is discouraging anyone from considering opportunities abroad. Personally, I believe in sharing essential information before making such a move. The doors of foreign embassies are open for all to seek information. It's important to note that discouragement typically happens when someone isn't fully prepared. I once offered advice to a close friend, urging him to take it easy, but he ignored me. He spent 4.5 million on an agent to go abroad and now he's back in Nigeria without the means to start anew.

Having personally visited 13 different countries, I can confirm that success abroad requires both mental and financial preparation. During the initial 6 months of relocation, ensure you have a plan for managing expenses while you seek employment. Tourist visas are often the least suitable for relocating; visas like Student, Work, or Missionary visas solve a significant portion of the challenges. It's crucial to possess marketable skills and be ready to work hard to support yourself financially. Prior research and thorough investigation of your destination are essential.

Avoid choosing a country solely for its reputation or to impress others. After settling, maintain a modest online presence and avoid flaunting your achievements for sustainability. Keep in mind that showcasing wealth could put your family back home at risk of kidnapping. Cultivate a small circle of dependable friends, stay out of trouble, assist your loved ones back home, and save for unforeseen circumstances. Lastly, stay connected to your roots and maintain a spiritual outlook. Best of luck with your journey to relocating abroad.
