Electricity is not the main problem of the Nigerian economy.

The main problem of the Nigerian economy is price controls and the related issue of government ownership.

For example, government dictates the price of petrol, Electricity and university fees. And the major overhang that really has has put the economy in permanent depression for decades is the regulated price of the naira against forex.
