The candlelight procession for late Mohbad takes place today, September 21st, 2023 at Lekki Phase in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Celebrities and fans of the late Mohbad troop in large numbers, doing their best to ensure the late Mohbad gets the justice he deserves. 

The candlelight procession and tribute concert started at 5PM at Lekki Phase 1 Gate and end Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island.

Many youths were seen with candles, dressed in white outfits and carrying placards as they seek for justice for Mohbad who died on September 12 2023 in controversial circumstances.

Celebrities present on stage at the candlelight procession for the late Mohbad include, Abu Abel, Davido, Zlatan Ibile, Do2dtun, Abu Abel, Eniola Badmus, Skales, Do2dtun, Falz, Barry Jhay and others.

The crowd is overwhelming, and organizers are worried about safety and are forced to close the event

DJ Splash, a former Marlian DJ, shared his experiences of facing difficulties under Naira Marley’s label.

Actress Iyabo Ojo paid a visit to DJ Splash, who had previously been signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Records.

This visit was a display of support from Iyabo Ojo in DJ Splash’s ongoing battle against Naira Marley and Zinoleesky.

DJ Splash explained that Naira Marley and his associates conspired against him when he expressed his desire to pursue singing alongside his DJ career.

This resulted in mental health struggles and his eventual eviction from his residence.

He said; “He doesn’t give me money and he doesn’t give me food. When I decided to start doing music apart from DJ, they planned to put something in my food to make me mad, Naira and his gang. Their plan was to put something in my food make me mad, plant something on me then call my mummy and tell her that something is wrong with me.”

With the assistance of his family, DJ Splash was able to escape his difficult circumstances.

However, he continues to face challenges with his mental well-being and is currently unable to work.

H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held a very fruitful, cross-sectoral discussion with South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa as the first of many bilateral engagements with counterparts from multiple continents in New York City, ahead of the UN General Assembly,” Ngelale tweeted.

Recall the presidential spokesperson had earlier revealed that Tinubu would engage in bilateral meetings that will focus on investments and economic development diplomacy during the UNGA session taking place in New York from September 18 to 26.

Tinubu is also scheduled to hold talks with US President Joe Biden.

Ngelale listed other world leaders that would engage with Tinubu to include Von der Leyen, president of the European Union Commission; President Azali Assoumani of Comoros; Mark Rutte, prime minister of the Netherlands; Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, King of Jordan; President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria;
