I only pity d poor child that will be born in this Fuji house of commotion if truly the bae mother is pregnant for the guy. I suggest he man up and face the responsibility of awaiting daddy and painstakingly end any intimate relationship with his girl friend and maybe the girls mother. Otherwise both d gal and the mother will make life unpleasant for each other and I can only imagine d consequences of such. |

A cry for help from a desperate young man, who impregnated his girlfriend's mother, but actually didn't mean to do it. "My name is Elvis. Please, I need you to look at this situation that I’ve found myself and tell me if I’m wrong: I got a house for my girlfriend out of my parent’s house just because I wanted us to have our privacy before we get married. I am always going there to spend the night most times and she did not tell me that her mother is very young and beautiful; a single woman. But one day I went to "our house" and she introduced me to her mum, the woman really liked me. But I didn't know that it’s not just like, but love. One day my girl was on night shift in the hospital where she works and her mum called me around 7:30 and told me that I should come to the house, as she wants to see me before she goes back. I came and she told me she is bored and that I should spend the night with her and stay till my girl is back in the morning so we can both take her to the park to return to Asaba. I agreed and at night she woke me up from the chair and asked me to join her in bed… My heart skipped but she said she just don’t want me to have neck pain by sleeping on the chair till morning. I followed her to the bed and in less than five minutes she has taken off her wrapper and was with me under the blanket. I understood what she wanted and by looking at her bare body I was already in the mood, so I slept with her, like 3 times before morning and I even enjoyed her more than her daughter. When she left, my girlfriend was angry that I spend the night in "our house" with her mum without telling her but I told her it was her mum’s idea and that I did not complain since her mum told me that I would stay till she got back from work. I lied to her that nothing happened, that’s my mistake. Her mum called me after last Christmas and told me that she was pregnant for me and that we should tell my girl so that her daughter can "look for another man". The woman wants to marry me. My girlfriend is aware now and she is cursing me, threatening my life. But is it my fault? Abdulrahman Mani, the former chief security officer (CSO) to President Muhammadu Buhari, is among those sacked by the State Security Service (SSS). The most widely discussed sacking was that of Marilyn Ogar, the ex-spokesperson for the security service. It was alleged that she had been relieved of her duties because of bribery and professional misconduct. However, some believed that it was a political move against Ogar, who had been promoted under Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. Abdulrahman Mani Premium Times reports that Mani was promoted during the transition period and was appointed as Buhari’s CSO. However, Mani and the president’s ADC, Mohammed Abubakar, were involved in an argument over the deployment of military personnel responsible for the president’s inner security. It was reported that when Lawal Daura was appointed SSS director general, Mani’s travails began, as the strained relationship between the two became noticeable. The former CSO was posted to Bayelsa state command, according to some sources, which many described as a punitive decision. Daura purportedly convinced Buhari that a higher-ranking officer should act as the CSO. Soon Mani was re-posted to Aso Rock, but already as the president’s chief detail (position second in command to the CSO). Mani was reportedly unhappy with the development and refused to report to duty. One of the sources disclosed that this basically became the reason for his retirement. There is one city on our planet that defies the universal dogma of monogamy, which tends to be the cornerstone of our modern society, with so many women living there that most men have two or three girlfriends. Most of the men in this city have two or three girlfriends! Dongguan, in south China’s Guangdong province, is not only popular for producing electronics, including iPhones and iPads, but it is also known as the Chinese ‘capital of sex’. Mirrior UK reports that the city came to attain its status due to a certain child policy which operated in China for many years, when the country had a massive gender imbalance with millions more women than men. Then, local factories which run assembly plants had a bias for hiring men, as they find them unreliable. Instead, they have been offering jobs mainly to women. This made more men taking odd jobs and casual work, thereby leaving them with plenty of time on their hands, which in turn makes room for more than one girlfriend. Most men within this Chinese ‘sex-city’, admit they have two or three permanent girlfriends at the same time, and it is not a problem even between the women. “It is a lot easier here to find a girlfriend than a job,” one man told a local TV. The few men who do have jobs at the factories are in a better position as regards finding girlfriends, because they spend longer hours at work on the production lines with the women. Girls do not mind being number two, or even number three This means that for the male residents of Dongguan, the best place to find love, is within the company. The gender disproportion has recently led to this city being branded the ‘capital of sex’ with many women ever willing to involve themselves in relationships with men who they know already have other partners. A migrant factory worker from south-western Sichuan province, Li Bin, said: “I have three girlfriends, and all of them know about each other. Many of my friends also have many girlfriends.” “There are so many young and naive female workers in the city. Why not have more than one if we can? Look, everyone is here to have fun; if you don’t do it, others will.” Li Bin further said that it was a “joke” for a man to only have one female partner. A 25-year-old native of Sichuan, A Yi, also said he went to Dongguan to find a wife, because the dowry alone in his hometown would cost an equivalent of N960,000. Yi said: “There are plenty of women in Dongguan, and they don’t want any money. They just want a man.” Though currently unemployed, Yi said his girlfriend now pays his bills and it is not a problem for them at all. Girls are ready to pay the bills for their man, in order to maintain their relationships. The Guangdong Women’s Rights and Information Service, report that the women in Dongguan pretend not to know about other partners, or simply ignore their existence; some of them are even colleagues in the same factory. The women’s rights group said the ladies “prefer the arrangement as it is better than being lonely.” Eventually, most of the women in Dongguan will return home to get married. PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has secured a major concession from President Barrack Obama during his ongoing visit to Washington after the US agreed to sell Nigeria Apache Attack helicopters to facilitate the fight against Boko Haram. During the tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan, the US rejected repeated requests from the Nigerian government to sell it the helicopters, raising objections to the human rights abuses of the military. It is believed the US was also fearful that the corruption within the Nigerian military made it likely that the helicopters could end up in the hands of Boko Haram as several soldiers were leaking secrets to the terrorists. This lack of equipment, according to the Jonathan administration, was responsible for the slow reaction of the military in the fight against Boko Haram. However, it appears that having got assurances from President Buhari that human rights abuses will be looked at and corruption will be fought, President Obama has decided to unblock the sale of the helicopters. US law forbids the sale of certain arms to militaries accused of gross human rights abuses. Amnesty International had accused the Nigerian Army's leadership of complicity in the death of about 8,000 detainees in the battle against Boko Haram. Grant Harris of the US National Security Council, said: "We're looking forward to what we can do with a president who has staked out an agenda that we think is the right agenda at the right time." It is believed that the US has agreed to sell eight advanced Apache attack helicopters to Nigeria in a deal worth around $500m. US political analyst Goldman Anthony, said: "Privately, the new security commanders are warning of no quick fixes. I concur to this arrangement. Money for petrol and kerosene can be used to Dev. our infrastructure in oil and gas industry. Simply drain the lower river Niger and build inland sea ports to allow cargo ships with petroleum products duck and empty their cargoes thereby making petroleum products close to other parts of the country and save our roads and roads users from apapa traffic gridlock wahala. We need a stop gape measure pending wen our refineries and depots are refurbished. We need d PIB to be pass as a matter of urgency within 90 days of Buhari adminstration. |

“You can’t prove deeds with words”. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. Although the dictionary included dishonesty among the definitions of corruption, President Jonathan had insisted that it is only stealing. I fully accept his definition of what happens in official circles. My mentor on this was the Abami- Eda himself, Fela Anikulapo – who left us with a track titled “Authority Stealing”. Jonathan, it can be assumed from his utterances and conduct, appears not to be prepared to fight corruption. But, will he wage war against stealing? Given the facts available to me, the answer is “definitely No!” Permit me to take a diversion by pointing to the puerile approach the PDP had taken in their attempt to smear Buhari and Tinubu with charges of corruption. For Buhari, the PDP and their choristers in the media, including my colleagues in VANGUARD, had been repeating a charge about $2.8 billion stolen from the NNPC when Buhari was Petroleum Minister. Among the rumour mongers are Professors and respected columnists. I have challenged any of them to publish the balance sheet of the NNPC in 1976, because the entire organization was not worth $2.8 billion. At any rate, in 1976, the exchange rate was US1= N0.67, same as when Buhari was Head of State. Today it is US$1=N205. I am sorry if “respected” columnists have forgotten the history. But, there it is. Even, the entire Federal Budget in 1976 hardly reached N2 billion. Liars!! It is when they turn to Bola Tinubu that they really become comical. You read advertorials about “the largest land owner in Nigeria” (no acreage, like 90.4 hectares in Abuja, is mentioned and where the parcels of land are); “the man who controls all the governors under the APC in the Southwest” (how much he takes from the states is not stated). The stupidities continue on and on. Two impressions are created among thinking readers: they cannot substantiate their allegations; and lack the guts to confront the man. Propaganda is serious business and should be left to professionals. Run-of-the-mill columnists cannot handle it successfully. I pity them. By contrast let me explain why Jonathan cannot, and will not, fight stealing by top government officials. The plain truth is, almost all of them are close to the corridors of power in Aso Rock. He provided some inkling into his mind-set when he pardoned his former boss Alamieyeseigha, the former Governor of Bayelsa State. “Alams” was the accused fugitive, who absconded from Britain dressed as a woman to avoid prosecution. He was later tried in Nigeria, allowed to plea bargain (meaning he surrendered only part of what he allegedly stole) and was given a light sentence. To help erase his criminal record Jonathan gave the man pardon. He is now thinking about going to the Senate; and one day, become the Senate President. Nigerians need to have an idea of the amount of public funds which Jonathan’s friend allegedly stole. In my book, PDP: CORRUPTION INCORPORATED, and on pages 268 to 270, they were captured. I don’t intend to reveal the entire evidence in the book. But, I can guarantee the reader, that if Alams had committed those crimes in Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Viet Nam or China, he would not be alive today. In that book, PDP: CORRUPTION INCORPORATED, I had asked if it is possible for a Governor to steal so much and the Deputy Governor, the Speaker of the House and other legislators knew nothing about it. How about the Accountant- General and the Auditor-General? Jonathan recently campaigned in Enugu and told the crowd that ex-Governor Jim Nwobodo received the longest sentence among those convicted under Buhari in 1984. I pity Nwobodo. I don’t want to disgrace the old man. But Jonathan is almost tempting me to reveal to Nigerians the whole truth. The record is there in my archives. LAST LINE: I have reserved five (5) copies of PDP: CORRUPTION INCORPORATED for anyone in Bayelsa, eager and patriotic enough to know what happened between 1999 and 2007.
