We need to help ourselves and our situation, or kill ourselves and our situation. We are at that crossroad, no other options. Great countries get to that point to enter and maintain the league of great nations. It's our choice of decision and maintaining that decision. The world will leave us behind, due to our ways. We are comfortable with failure and corrupt ways. Our percentage of corruption to rule based ways is 98% to 2%. This is my opinion not thoroughly researched. The percentage of corruption to rule based ways in great countries like even this Japan, is 15% to 85%. And those 15% are always scared of being caught. We(as a society) need to decide on our future, even before election, to stop all the flight for hope from Nigeria. We need to Nigeria bring reachable hope to Nigeria. RIP to the lost ones, and may the Angels assist the survivors. |
The grounds are very dirty, algae embedded, depressing, and not conducive. A real leader, would have spotted this things and raised hell because of it. He should've observed this immediately he touched down. We don't know about power washing techniques in Nigeria. Basic knowledge of a conducive environment, lacks in Nigeria. See how they are just bouncing on a very dirty ground. |
Ebubu:Chairman, am with you continuity of progress. Let us be clear, there is nothing special about the Lagos template. Don't be deceived by oga Tinubu. Lagos is successful (not truly successful if you remove the noise around the success), regardless, lagos is successful because it is diversified by people all over Nigeria and even abroad. It also helps that Lagos has the only meaningful seaport. Ebonyi needs someone that can build infrastructure like oga Umahi in essentials, agriculture, etc. but now also has a business sense to draw in people who will do business or bring more expertise to Ebonyi. Don't fall in the godfather trap. Today in Lagos, if lagos state makes 1billion (for example), tinubu can send someone to go and tell sanwo to send money to his new account. And that's from revenue or borrowed money, tinubu takes at will. So, even when tinubu does not send anybody to the offices to go and get his entitlement money, one of his boys or girls will claim he did. Things like that blurr the lines. Govt is not God. They are there to use their wisdom to help their people grow better than they met it, without borrowing up and down. They are there to help create a general fair playing field. Don't be deceived by oga Tinubu. He gives nothing. If you hear that Tinubu donated 50 million, just know that lagos money reduced that day by a 100 million. Tinubu will make sanwo send him 100 mil through back channels, then he donates 50 million, keeps 30 million for himself, then mc oluwo dem will share the rest. On top of all the daily drivers tax they are sharing and other bogus taxes. Because of godfatherism, Tinubu feels like the whole Lagos state money is his money. So, nip it now for Umahi or whoever'. The next leader should know that Ebonyi people are high standard people, nothing less is expected, regardless of party. The best man or woman should lead. |
Ebubu:He is a good, a very good leader, but not a godfather to slaves. Thank him and move on, don't go and vote his whole family for him doing his job. The next leader of ebonyi has now seen a standard to be surpassed. |
Ebubu:if they are qualified, they should win, but don't turn oga Umahi to a godfather. |
The people of ebonyi should not vote for oga Umahi's brother. Don't make it an entitlement. |
One legit traceable royal, whether bad or good. This royal lineage brought wealth and civilization to many ends of the earth. They learnt well from the Roman's that colonized them. This is what you call royal, not these group of fakes in Nigeria. Disclaimer: the British royals did many wrongs too, but their wisdom and successes cannot be tainted. Another solid royal is the Japanese emperor, even Thailand (until this current one). Am talking of royals that brought good and longterm prosperity. Not the intimidator and fakes all over Nigeria. |
Travel to Asia or anywhere to work and gain a life time experience, something that Nigeria will currently rob you of. Then come back and try to help by doing paid interns, while they help you in your business. I didn't say come back and come and be forming mini god, I said come back and be part of the solution. We lack expertise, no be small thing. We need to be awash with experts (working experts not arm chair experts or agbada wearing fake experts). we need builders in all sectors. Good luck. |
kunleiky:It's not about downgrading, is about upgrading. They should use that experience in strengthening our secondary school education. I think they should still be paid 75% of what they currently earn. Right now, the universities are thrash, as in not even qualified to be a land fill, because it will contaminate it. Nothing to write home about. Even without ASUU strike, the universities are thrash. So, let's try something different. We don't have time to mess around any longer. Nigeria currently has no foundation of anything good. So, it's time to strategize. Germany did something similar back in the day, until they redid their universities. Cuba did something similar. We have to be the best in anything clothing, basic health care, electricity, computer, material sciences, buildings and other infrastructure, and mechanics of all sorts. Our current university papers alone cannot help us with that now. My idea is that, close down the normal everybody come to uni, and use most of that money to solidify the 10 to 20years old Nigerians, so that they can be able to pass waec even at ss1 or ss2; while also making it possible for those above that age, to become experts in their interests. The strategy is more than that, am just summarizing for you. |
oga Uzodinma speaks like a 1 degree to an slowpoke. Did oga Buhari sympathize with that Blessing (May God bless her soul) family? Has he said anything about sharia? I don't think Oga Buhari is the cause of all Nigeria's problem, but he added enough fuel to the already existing problems. You(uzodinma) have done nothing tangible except to intimidate oga Rochas as payback, because he intimidated you; meanwhile the imo people are hopelessly suffering. It is also true that some born fools, maybe planned intruders, are genociding the igbos from the inside out. oga uzo your hand fit dey that mata with your toutish cohorts. |
Lack of maintenance, lack of know how, lack of identifiers. Skill up Nigeria. Nigeria has to have so much skills, that africa and the world will have to come and verify in order to be part of it. |
From my opinion, Nigeria needs to reduce the number of universities by 70%. We need to focus on skills training, focus on making the elementary and secondary schools more qualitative education. We are currently wasting money and running in cycles by churning out graduates that are unemployable. Craziness is doing the same thing everytime with no change or meaningful result. It will favor Nigeria to close down schools as we know it, and use those professors to teach secondary school students, but make about 75% of the same pay. The focus needs to be on skills development after a solid elementary and secondary education. And the fg, sg, or lg, shouldn't do skills training alone, they should encourage citizens to get accredited, and the accreditation should be transparent and fair; it shouldn't turn to rocket science due to corruption, like all other projects in Nigeria. Skills training like welding, building sciences, building inspections, health inspections, sanitation inspection, nursing, IT, oil rig understanding and inspections, pipe fitters, safety trainings, plumbing, electrical, electronics, cyber, hair care, skin care, automobiles, aircraft maintenance, soil inspections and testing, agriculture, etc The more a person learns, the better understanding and growth for that person. The current university dorms and administrative areas, should be converted to nursing places, and some as skill training centers. With a years planning, something efficient can be thought of, and prepared for them to be used. Also have math centers there too, and also encourage online learning. if a person is over 20years, he/she will go to adult eeducation. We have to look at developed countries blue print and copy it word for word if need be. Education in Nigeria has been a wash since 1990. No quality all quantity. How can it not be true, almost all major and even minor projects in Nigeria, will have a foreigner that leads it and even sometimes do it all. So, we have a problem. Am not saying foreigners cannot work on our projects, am saying, the lack of quality and know how is mostly why they are there. I will say, let us have a 500 student capacity university, about 10 of them nation wide, for the next 10 years. An example, will be say University of Lagos, can be the university of material science or engineering or agriculture or medicine, etc. All the departments there, should be in line with the school. No more this course and that course and all that. The current system breeds corruption and incompetence. Only A students with great maths and science intrest, should be students there. Don't go and pack log of woods in the name of students, and go and fill a school. Let others, go to skills training. And do online classes, or travel abroad for university degrees. But try and make the skills training that many can get, very qualitative. We have to have the best rail road mechanics, the best cyber techs, the best mechanics, the best builders, etc. Many will be working while learning. Building Nigeria while learning, instead of wasting away. We have to have the whole world know that our skilled techs are the best. They would build Nigeria, and even help train and build the rest of Africa and the world. In 10 to 20 years, we can see the experiment clearly. The current experiment is an audio wash. I have more to say, but I will stop here for now. |
He look like American phyno. RIP, some okay music. |
oga Tinubu is not among the first five best governors of Lagos state. 1) Lateef Jakande 2) Buba Marwa 3) Fashola ( and he was bullied by Tinubu and mc olowo, but still did better) 4) Amode ( his sin with Tinubu was that he refused to be bullied any longer) and he didn't borrow his way out. 5) Sanwo ( he is currently financing tinubu with Lagos money) but we can see that if he wasn't bullied, he would've done even more. |
One of the beauties of America. A country colonized by UK. America even fought her way out of colonization, so things were scattered and rebuilt. Nigeria did not physically fight her way out, so nothing was scattered. But there is no comparison between the two. Victoria Island is still a prestigious place in Nigeria ( but very mediocre to other human occupied areas). Kings College has produced many leaders of national and private positions in Nigeria. Nigeria by itself, has diminished itself through bad leadership, a very corrupt society, and done more worse than the UK during colonization (and mind you, UK did bad too) but not like Nigeria since 1960. The truth remains, UK enslaved us, but they left Nigeria better than they met it, in terms of infrastructure and general education. Many of our heroes past that you recite in school, were UK trained. So, I don't support Uju, and UK should know that many igbos loves them. I also like NLaw. |
It is not about meeting people, it is about the value of the meetings when you are a leader. No real results due to the Nigerian side or representer, they are not creative in diplomacy for Nigeria, regardless of which administration. They lack vision. It is not about borrowing alone. You can ask for their ideas in helping you solve the electricity issues without using hydro. Find a way to get their experts, find a way to prepare Nigerians for the vision, be prepared. The best results, are when preparation meets opportunity. Leadership is rigorous. |
Gummi is right on this. oga Tinubu is just after what he can borrow and steal from Nigeria. Oga Atiku, is thinking it's his birth right. oga Obi, is not the best that Nigeria can offer, but he is the most confident in stepping up to the plate of leadership with a plan. My preferred candidates would have been oga zulum, oga umahi, and Oga Osinbanjo. I come to find out that oga Umahi and Oga Osinbanjo are spineless, but very good workers. If Peter Obi wins, oga Umahi, zulum, and prof. should be offered appointments of their choice. But don't go and give Umahi security position, when he should be something like works or transportation, or go and give zulum economics - when he should be education or agriculture or even security. Prof can be a global ambassador like Oga Obj and Oga Jonathan. |
All these so called royals in Nigeria do nothing useful but to: -Marry and make noise about it. - Take money and gifts from FG and SG. and then maga them into appointing their person as minister or something. - seize lands from people and intimidate others - interfere and bully the LGC. - and do it all over again. A very useless set of people. If na me be president, the highest official they would have access to, will be sec school prefect or some class captains. |
Am so proud of Ukraine, for joining the league of brave countries like USA, UK, Israel, and then other great nations. Russia dun enter one chance. Russia needs to know that in the nearest future, Ukraine will strike back inside russia if they continue like this. It will soon become a two way street. For all those saying Russia didn't colonize Africa, they/we all should be happy that russia was busy in Europe during slavery. Russia is so wicked and evil that, if they had any African colony, especially one with many resources, they will not give you independence under any circumstances. Go and ask Ukraine. |
oga Tinubu is not a leader. He is egoistic and just trying to win so that mc olomo can be hailing him steady. oga Tinubu is envious of Oga Awolowo, Oga Obj, oga Lateef Jakande, and even oga Buba marwa; these are all people that did better than him hands down. Two weeks before he contested, oga Sanwo claimed there will be a tax raise for transport and so on, why do think that was? it was to increase the money that Tinubu will use for campaign. Normally, he treats lagos money as his bank account. oga Tinubu is stingy, so when you hear he donated so and so amount, just think lagos state money. He is not using his money, he is using lagos state money and people donated money. He no know whether he wan be eiye or king of alaye boys. A very confused human being. most Yorubas might be very tribal, but their judgement of choosing the best leader among an option that they are presented with, should not be in doubt. They know tinubu is a fake in terms of leading Nigeria right now. With oga Osinbajo, they might have chosen differently, because he is more credible. |
This Uju woman is a full blown dunce. To the British, many Igbos love you guys, the Americans, and the Israelis. If Japan and America can forgive themselves, or France, Germany, and UK - can forgive themselves. Why can't igbos forgive the UK, when the other tribes out-diplomated us. She is talking like a draining air conditioner. Talking all the way from the USA, where she is from another tribe and race, but is treated with more dignity than how she could've, if she was in any inch of Nigeria. USA's White House was burnt down by the British. But today, if you (Russia or China) touch the UK, the United States will go to war immediately. The same UK sent their best scientist to help the USA to fast track their development of war during WW2. You can go and read about how the USA and British fought against each other back in the day. Ms Uju, grow up. Ur stupidity is glossy. |
oga Peter Obi, you have a lot to do in uniting this very backward country. I pray that God continues to give you the wisdom to navigate the Nigerian hearts to a higher level. |
This stone and hedge stone are taken better care of than over 75% of people in Nigeria. I will take the English monarchy over all the losers with fake titles in Nigeria combined. The English monarchy has brought more wealth and mass knowledge than those masquared so called title people in Nigeria, have ever done. |
