He tried.

About state and community policing, I have a problem with that.

In my opinion, I think we need more ekelebe, but well trained for any community that they will be posted to. They also need pay raise with some bonus pay. Their cars needs cameras. and they just need constant overall training.

The leaders of the ekelebes, need to be creative and strategic. For example, if I am the leader, I am not going to be posting people places and leaving them in one post for too long. So, if i post somebody to Lagos, the first two weeks, they will have training and updates on various crime issues and studies in Lagos, then I disperse them around the state, if you were in oshodi for a week or two, then I will remove some people from that oshodi unit and send them to badgary for another 2 weeks, then give them 4 days break, then I send you to yaba or ikeja for a week or two, then agege after that. Knowing that this movement will be the case, you will get transport allowance, lunch or dinner break allowance, and even housing allowance in places we approve. is more detailed than that, but this is the tip of the iceberg strategy.

we should not make the mistake of doing community policing, it will end up dividing people, increasing tribal and community conflicts, and even starting factions.

I would suggest training and hiring some more, including cids, and others. Then strengthening what you already have, making them very professional in times of danger and peace times.

Sometimes, a few is better. Then increase the technology infrastructure for the departments.

Dangote signed an agreement with FG, and then one day people wake up and want to rewrite the contract. just like that.

How can somebody invest in Nigeria like that.

Why didn't govt negotiators present a fair proposal after Dangote proposal, before it was approved? Now they want to blame Dangote. This cement factory was one degree to death before Dangote came and saved it.

Am sure your sg, state reps, fake traditional rulers, fg negotiators, and others, took their own share; am also sure many of them forced dangote to hire people that they want to oppress in the guise of our community.

No one thought about the environmental impact and how to mitigate it, but now they want to move the goal post.

Am not a dangote fan or hater, but I will not blame him for other peoples moronic ways.

Dangote is the highest employer of labor in Nigeria. And he should sue the life out of kogi state. If they want to buy it back, they can buy it back at the current rate and Dangote's wishful profits.

Go and sit down.

In Nigeria, nobody gives a hoot about you.

Why can't you file for your own paperwork, and be a direct employee.

Now you want to blame the UK, what about the Nigerians that are collecting the contract pay to pay you. Are those Nigerians doing anything to help your situation.

Everytime people want to hold UK and all these developed nations to a high standard, but the Nigeria you used to stay does not give 1 kobo concern about you; same as the Nigerians that helped you work that contract.

UK and those nations are becoming wiser, they are turning a blind eye as long as you are not their legal resident or citizen.

Is the same thing with the oil theft, Nigerian FG, sg, bunkerers, line tappers, thought they were doing anybody; now good and bad countries are stealing the oil from off shore and on shore. It is so bad that Nigerians don't know for sure how much oil is extracted, because we did not build the infrastructure and rigs. And when legit companies try to be honest, some people from Nigeria will go and be tapping their lines.

We are shouting to the high heavens about above level and a little below ground line taps, what about the sea shore tapping. Where Turkey or whoever can tap or even drill their own well, all under water, with underwater marine crafts. We lack all around expertise.

Back to the topic, Nigerians complain alot and claim rights when they are in sane countries. Why don't they go to Russia, China, Saudi, and all these wicked countries to complain and claim rights, make you see why.

if I were these same countries, i would be mean to undocumented and valueless nigerians on my soil. Afterall your own people don't care for you.

oga Tinubu atleast tried to speak out in person; but come on, it was filled with ego, defense of a failing administration (which am not criticizing him for supporting, but am criticizing opinion), he also spoke with slurred words and sentences.

oga Atiku has more clarity than oga Tinubu, oga Obi is more ready and more hopeful than both.

The crowd hailed his alter ego while he basked in it, he said a whole bunch of blanks, he encouraged insults - by the way he should be presented with the option to sign that non violent pact so that we can see if he will reject it.

You have also not said anything which makes my convo with you not worth the time.

seams are where two joints meet, which happens to be the weakest links in a structure especially in regards to air and water.

There is no book keeping report in this news as to the condition of the dikes before this incident. The insurance was immediately approved. No word from the insurance assessment. in my opinion, that opens the door of corruption and possibly sabotage. Christmas is around the corner and now this. The lack of book keeping report is indicative of lack of responsibility, which allows for corruption as it is in many sectors of the Nigerian economy.

I don't owe you further explanation if I don't feel like, if you want to denigrate it to insults, I will respond at my own choosing. Furthermore, your post seems to me like you are not looking beyond the face value of the news, when they are openings to do so. That's why I asked you these simple questions.

What has corruption got to do with the story?

where did you "hear" about the seams? was it on nairaland? does nairaland have audio that you talking about hearing?

where in the story was it stated that the seams had problems? what type of problems? how does the so called problems automatically "screams lack of maintenance"?
I have been busy to respond to you.

At first I was tight about your questions because I didn't see any technical assessment in it, but looking at your it this morning, I owe you an answer to my opinion.

Firstly, my opinion is based on more than this news report because they also want to blame the breach of the dikes on climate change. Am not arguing that climate change is not real, am just doubtful in this case.

I was an apprentice to some gentlemen and women about 8 years ago who helped people in africa and even overseas build and maintain dikes. I didn't last too long as I went on to do other mechanical endeavors. I never got to work on a large dike like this.

First off, they didn't present or reference any maintenance log report in regards to this dike, maybe there is a report and maybe not; they said "we have been battling this problem for two weeks". It was a he say/she say analysis about the condition that was referenced. In a project of this magnitude, there are no other way than a real maintenance report. The fact that this information was not included in the report screams lack of maintenance. In established places that do this ind of projects, that will be referenced in the news or behind the scenes for insurance purposes. I get the insurance people have approved their claim but the corruption part comes in when the claim was approved in just two or three weeks, without an in depth report as to how the breach occurred.

I don't know the blue print of this project, I would have liked to know the length and width of this dike, but a large dike of this magnitude has multiple bypasses to mitigate excess flooding, and considering the location near river benue and river niger.

I wish I can speak more in depth to this issue, but am busy today.

One thing i will say, the information given is minimal, Christmas is around the corner, i would not rule out sabotage in addition to natural disaster that should have been planned for. Am not even talking about the crop condition report before this breach, I know we just did that 1 million rice pyramid but could it also be that in addition to lack of maintenance on the dikes, that the crops were not farmed properly, and out of fear of not meeting their own quota, they decided to sabotage the project and cash out from insurance; and I also want to know who is backing the insurance company - is it FG or sg

To me the lack of detailed information screams lack of maintenance and possibly corruption. In this case, maybe sabotage. They leave me no room than to feel that way.

Foreign Affairs › Re: For Europe, Biden’s ‘armageddon’ Warning Can’t Be Dismissed by viodemus: 5:14am On Oct 08, 2022
Oga Biden is a wise man. The world would later appreciate him more, if not that selfish and useless russian dictator would have ruined the world by force.

I thank God for America.

America is not a saint but they have compassion even as big and dangerous like they are.

America is the most humanitarian country to the world, one might say America needs something in return, which might be true sometimes and false sometimes, but America is not a selfish country, it is also the most diplomatic country - on some issues they are bias on some they are fair - they try to open the room for dialogues and/or negotiations.

America is the only country that says bring me your weak - of course they would also welcome your healthy. The only other country with 40% of that compassion might be UK.

America has helped educate many people worldwide, they have brought medicine and improved surgery to help themselves and the world - they sold some and donated some, even the internet was an American invention for themselves and later for a lot of the world; they are the only country that more than likely will stand against genocide if they are aware and can, even if the country leader is their friend.

During world war 2, the cornered soldiers of Germans, Italians, and Japanese were running to the American divisions to surrender; after the war, after the allies shared Germany - America was feeding, clothing and treating the Germans more than any ally and that's where Russia/soviet showed their wicked hand by trying to starve a whole german population to death, America air dropped food for Germany everyday for more than a year.

They are so many good to write about the United States, and of course some bad. More good than bad. I think it will be wise for Nigeria to stand with America and her allies, am talking UK, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Germany, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc places that have changed many Nigerians lives.

Russia does nothing except ammunition and vodka. I haven't tasted a Russian biscuit - it might be a thoughtless biscuit. tasting useless. Pussie just don't have anything to offer the Russians, so he looks for war and intimidation. Thank God for America again.

Russia knows that America is God's own country. The two hardest places to get access to are Heaven and america. The two strongest forces are Heavenly forces and American forces, where heavenly forces are overall force, and America are planetary force leader.

Russia"s good to bad percentage is like 2% good or helpful in the world to 98% bad for the world. America might be 70/30 good to bad.

Am just happy that Russia and pussie knows that America has not just deadly ruggedities but many avenues to bring them to the table. America was the main ones to manage the Soviet break up diplomatically and militarily. Pussie - just know say dem see finish.

Putin aka pussie knows not to mistake the gentle walk of a lion and tiger as timidity. America can beat current day Russia, china, and North Korea by itself as of today, and pussie knows that. He also knows America will not let him finish Europe and other parts of the world before they intervene UK ,France, and Germany combined might even win russia. Japan, Taiwan , Australia, India, and New Zealand can over match china so who is fighting America and Canada? Russia's pussie knows he is no match for a country that was ready to beat the Soviet at their best, not to talk about watered down Russia.
