safarigirl: No, why? I'd like to explain Nigeria in high school terms.

Nigeria is that popular kid in school who comes from a broken home, whose parents are individaualy rich, but have never quite been able to use their funds to help him. It's the kid whose never been the excellent student, never the star athlete, not the president of the debate team, and probably even has a drinking problem. Nigeria is that popular kid that everyone liked to taunt simply because, they never could figure out what made that kid better than them, there was just something.......

Our 'something' is called the fighting spirit, some refer to it as arrogance and over confidence, but what it is, is the knowledge that no matter how f*cked up you are, there's always someone you're better than. It might not be all that good, but never forget that if people talk about you, you must have something they don't. There are many countries you never hear about, simply because no one finds them important enough in the equation of things, surely we're doing something right.

Nigerians could be delusional, but f*ck it, We Rock and we don't need to explain ourselves to anyone

Yeaah! this is how we rock!!!

When you are done rocking, you can watch the Aluu video from here

http://www.todaysnigeria.com/2012/10/allu-village-video-of-brutal-murder-of_9.html

then let me know if your high school explanation and your somewhat immature conclusion that we don't owe anyone any explanations still apply.

In the meantime, enjoy rocking!!

Definitely not ashamed! I'm always proud tell people how my country is rifled with an epileptic power supply and a rapidly growing lower class. It also gives me joy to tell savage stories like that of Aluu to my friends who wouldn't believe humans are capable of such horrors.

What's there not to be proud of?

Romance / Re: My Conversation With An American Lady by violent(m): 11:37pm On Oct 23, 2012
Why is this a big deal?

Even Mitt Romney a US presidential candidate thought Iran's only route to the sea is through Syria!!

And Sara Palin once mentioned she could see Russia from Alaska!

The world is a huge geographical mess. Heck, most Nigerians don't even know Accra is the Capital city of Ghana...nothing to make so much fuss about.

Foreign Affairs / Ghosts Of Libya Will Haunt Obama's Foreign Policy Records. by violent(m): 12:25am On Oct 22, 2012
The US election has reached its boiling point, with several posts putting both candidates at a tie..and even in most extreme scenarios, perhaps a one point lead over each other. But one issue that has been little stretched so far, and one you may expect will soil Obama's pants at the next debate will be the murder of a United States ambassador in Benghazi along with 3 other American citizens.

This is especially a sensitive issue, one for which a casual observer may note that the current Obama administration had shot itself in the foot severally....from cover ups, to half truths, to completely misleading statements...hoping halfway, Americans may just ignore it as a non issue and will just take the President's word for it when he said he intends to hunt down the killers.

This is however proving to be far from the case. Many more stories that have surfaced in recent days reveals that the American ambassador repeatedly pleaded for the State Department to ramp up his security in Libya, noting that the situation in Libya is being exploited by many independent actors and described the security conditions as rapidly deteriorating -----Pentagon was said to have denied his requests.

There are now questions regarding what Political motivations, if any could have led the administration to deny such requests.More questions will probably be centered on Biden's remarks during the Vice Presidential debate during which he denied that the US government had any knowledge about the ambassador's requests for security.

If you thought that's likely to be the end of it all, you may be in for a shocker, as it emerged that this week, one of the accused plotters of the Benghazi attack was pictured in the open sipping Strawberry frappe. Insult upon injury if you ask me. Where's Obama's promise to hunt down the killers?

Not sure why people are so disgusted by this girl.

She seems to me to be living her own life her own way, why do people find that unappealing?
Family / Re: I Dey Vex by violent(m): 1:55pm On Oct 21, 2012
By not hurting their feelings, you will have earned the "Nice girl" title. They will say, "ah, Odunnu's a really nice girl".

LoL! That, for me, tends to be the red flag. When someone says to me "You are a good man"...i know I've let myself be taken for a ride.

You must learn to draw your boundaries and enforce it.

If she sends a text to you, simply reply her that you are unwilling to accommodate her. Why is that difficult?

Billyonaire: You did a little google search and come up with some fashion items, but common sense has even eluded you to the fact that franchise outlets in Nigeria trade with a 40% profit markup, after shipping cost. I pity you little puppies.

Of course, i did a little google search. Imagine my desperation. I really want to buy a shade similar to yours.

why is it hard telling us what brand your 250k shades are?
Fashion / Re: Can You Buy N63,900 Sunglasses? by violent(m): 1:27am On Oct 21, 2012
Billyonaire: Are you really this stupid, If I give you my fashion item and serial number, you can track it online at the brand website. I am wasting time talking to a bunch of people who, believes everyone on Nairaland are a bunch of nobodies.

You still have a nerve to show your face around here you shameless piece of stuff!

Why don't you tell us a really nice story about your latest wine collections each costing 600k?

Back wetin? He is searching google right now as I type this for "online expensive sunglasses"... Him dey come, just wait.

Don't mind the bloody rascalat!

I'm desperate to expose people of such irritable nature.

Louis Vutton Evasion - selling for 1,200 dollars and Chrome Hearts Kufannaw I – selling for $1,350 are two of the world's most expensive sunglasses. They don't even cost up to 250,000 naira.

This dude has got to be high on cheap dung.

Billyonaire: Stop putting double paragraphs in your type, you are consuming more pages with your nonsense. Try and get your investments and stop that useless 9 to 5 job. It makes you live from hand to mouth and you assume all of us live like you. All human beings are equal but are not born equal, so get that into your numbskull and stop hating people who spend their hard-earned money on their fashion item of choice.

No vex!

Just tell us. Which brand is your Shades?

I find it rather amusing that you were so quick to tell us the price of Hennesey, and also how lavishly you tend to indulge yourself in the littlest pleasures. But couldn't take a moment to drop the brand of your 250k shades?

Your own don finish!

Wind don blow, con see foul yansh o my people!! grin grin grin.

I knew it. You bloody rascalat.

I hear you!

Answer my question. Which brand is your 250k shades?

Fashion / Re: Can You Buy N63,900 Sunglasses? by violent(m): 1:03am On Oct 21, 2012
Billyonaire: 250K on a shade sure gives erektion bro. I cant say which is most expensive, cos I've got class.

You don't get it do you? No, you've got no class.

If you've really got class and the money as you claim, you won't even keep the price tags of the stuffs you buy.

This sort of stuff aint new bruv, it is you that is suffering from poverty mentality here. I can tell you are finding the need to belong by announcing the price of Hennessy and such...

What brand is your 250k shades by the way, and where did you buy it from?..

**Amma kill this garri drinking lasu boy** grin grin

Billyonaire: What can you feed my family with ? The usual dosage of garbage that you eat ? Grow up little man. If you have not gotten a fashion item thats worth 63,000 then I think you are not really a man. I hate it when Nairaland is invaded by never-do-wells, who consider 63,000 money. The money can't even buy a good sunshade. I own one that cost me N250K

Just curious though, how much is the most expensive thing you've ever paid for?

***I will soon be proven right, that you are just one Lasu wannabe***

on the side note, 63k isn't a big deal for many people on this forum. Heck, even Seun makes an average of 10k per advert a day, and those adverts are being paid for by average Nairalanders.
Fashion / Re: Can You Buy N63,900 Sunglasses? by violent(m): 12:35am On Oct 21, 2012
Billyonaire: You were damn right about you being born into poverty on the previous thread. I really am sorry know your ordeal against the winds of poverty, but seriously, you need to change your cycle of friends so you can see whats possible on the other side of life. 63,000 is really not much money, infact, you cant buy a good pair of shoes with it. And I doubt if you can actually get a good vintage sunshade at such amount, its usually from 250K upwards.

I think i can afford to feed you comfortably and pay you some allowance for the rest of your life if you want!...no jokes!

grin grin grin

63k shades? lol. You think it's by coming online to announce the price of hennesey? go siddon my friend!

gimme space! grin grin
Fashion / Re: Can You Buy N63,900 Sunglasses? by violent(m): 12:27am On Oct 21, 2012
@Post:

If I'm crazy about shades, then definitely yes.

Billyonaire: 63,000 cant even buy a bottle Hennessy XO at the club tonight. What the heck are we talking here, is nairaland now a place for only paupers ?

Who wants to place a bet that this dude is a LASU wannabe?
