Italian league they fix match even within last 10 minutes. Keeper might be paid 400 k dols to do wetin cause just one booking. You can bet that man united will get over 28 shots. A foward will be paid handsomely to keep trying shots from outside 18 at will. End of first half man united don get 19 shots already. Wetin come remain
I so much believe in this match fixing thing in this modern era...especially top tier leagues . But no empirical evidence yet.

Dogalmighty17:
My brother I tell you the truth. A broke girl is the worst thing any man can do to himself. The disturbing part of it is when only sex is what most women have to offer, they still aren't good in it. How can someone be fundamentally useless and still you are lying like a log of wood in bed?

The same school the man went, she went. Got the same degree and everything and yet she thinks she is a man's responsibility? Then why did her parents bother sending her to school? I begin to understand the point of view of the Taliban in Afghanistan. If a woman won't be a co-co tributor, why should she go to school?

A man can't be permitted to be broke. Society will call him lazy but a woman can be broke and every one is fine with it because?

The reason Nigerian men die early is our accepted culture of entering relationships with liabilities who can't pull their weight. They shout equality but when it comes to sharing bills they say it is the man's job alone. No wonder they go outside the country and find no one to date them. Because that typical Nigerian female mindset they have makes them struggle with dating dynamics in western societies.
This is so apt...this is where i have a problem with the average Nja Lady. When it comes to enjoyment or benefits we are equal according to them. But when it comes to billing and some kind of tough stuffs they suddenly realized its a mans reponsibility

1Alex:
he should have ZeroWorries as your moniker suggests.

Then on a serious note, Life is just like a football match.

In the first half, both teams come into the game with a game plan they’ve practice: formations, strategies, key players. They play with the strength of their preparation, trying to dominate, score goals, and control the match.

But at halftime, regardless of whether they are leading, trailing, or it's a draw, both teams return to the dressing room. That’s where reflection happens. Coaches analyze the first half; what worked, what didn’t, who underperformed, where the opponents exploited their weaknesses. They restrategize. Sometimes a losing team comes out in the second half with fresh fire and completely turns the game around.

That’s exactly how life is at 40.

Your first half (youth) may not have gone according to plan; mistakes, failures, missed opportunities. but halftime (age 40) is a gift to pause, reflect, and rework your strategy. It’s not the end of the game. In fact, many great goals are scored in the second half. Champions are often made after halftime adjustments.

At 40, a man should not sit back in regret. Instead, he should see it as the second half of his life’s game; time to replan, reinvent, and relaunch. The match is far from over. Many people didn’t even score in the first half but came out blazing in the second.

Hope is not lost. The final whistle is not yet blown. There’s still time to turn the game of life around.

Just like football, it’s the full 90 minutes (and sometimes extra time) that decides the winner, not just the first half.

There is a level uou will reach in life, you will do anything to have a better life. I blame the school system in nigeria so much.
They dont teach health living and meal plans.

When I moved to the UK with my family, in my second year, the school my kids attend send a letter to me that my kids bmi is very high compared to their age and thus about to be ranked obese. These are the so called healthy looking children in nigerian standard. Children wey dey enjoy. Nobody told me to do about turn.

When I was in medical school, I did a presentation that took me deep into knowing that foods like pizza, burger, chips are for the poorest of the poor in the society. You schooled abroad. It's the poor that eat these foods. When I was working with the community, I entered lots of home and a rich man's food is so diff from a poor man's food here.
But in my dear country, it's rich man and his family that eats pizza and chips every other day. If eating cooked food, orange drink and what have you will replace water.
Our food are the most unbalanced in the whole world. It pains me to see a rich man eating like a poor man.

As far as nutrition and what enters in our mouth is concerned,we score -5. All the sick politicians, celebrities and big man flying abroad for treatment is just cos of what they put in their mouth.

Check Japanese meals. There is a reason why they have one of the highest iq level, live the longest and are hardly fat.

BusinessRe: With 500k, Which Business Can Guarantee 20k Daily by virginboy1(m): 9:20am On Jun 19, 2025
Stephen0mozzy:
Well, it's not too much, but the fact is that if you're expecting that kind of profit, the business you'll want to start should be a buy-and-sell operation. Something where you can place orders and resell at a profit margin, you understand?

For example, you could order something from the village market during peak market days, bring it to the city, and sell it there. That way you're guaranteed to make profit from whatever you've spent that day.

But if you're hoping to start any business that involves renting a shop or buying shop items to set up the business, then by the time you handle the business setup, you're already eating deep into your capital.

So what I'd advise is to keep pushing whatever brought you that ₦500k and then start doing Local "dropshipping". You can reach out to people selling gadgets, phones, laptops, and stuff, then start advertising on your WhatsApp status. If you're already getting traction, you can also run ads and post on sites like Facebook Marketplace and Groups, jiji. Post the items you have available, then when people want to buy, the capital that would have gone into setting up a physical shop and premises can instead go directly into getting the goods you'll be selling.
Very intelligent advise. This makes a lot of sense.

Thanks alot.

Except you are pursuing a career in Teaching/Lecturing, I tell you sincerely that You didn't make any mistake by going for HND, neither are you correcting any mistake by doing BSC.
The world has changed and even our country has got worse... There are many master degree holders with no meaningful job. There are PHD holders working for people that has no certificate.
I am a graduate with HND, after 13 years without a job, I had to go and learn a trade. Now I got a job through the trade I learned, not with my certificate.
Guess what...

Never listen to anyone who tells you to go and marry. Marry only because you feel a genuine need to do so and you feel it will add benefits to your life.

85% of people who advice others to marry use that as a subtle way of mocking single people. Then some people are jealous of you because you don't have the kind of financial responsibilities they have so they want you to marry so that you can be like them.

Then you'll hear some people say unmarried people are irresponsible. Another foolish talk. When did marriage become an achievement? There are many married people who are irresponsible. Some of of the richest people in the world are unmarried - Bill Gates, Dangote, Elon Musk, Anthony Joshua etc.

no woman, I repeat no woman will ever love you unconditionally. It has never and will never work that way. Even your own biological mother will dance to the tune of that child who provides the more for her. Don't allow anyone deceive you. As a man, it's better you live with that truth or die in self denial. Even God will despise you if you can't solve issues in his house or useful to him.

Now that being said, there a few real, trustworthy ladies.but the paragraph above is still engrained in their DNA regardless.

As a man what to do. You need to make money, you need to keep working hard. A man paying his bills earns serious respect from everyone.

Once you can't pay the bills, even your dog will whine and grind it's teeth at you when you can't buy it's food.

Avoid gold diggers btw, you should get a woman who is purposeful and going in the same direction with you obviously. But live with the fact that the moment you can't provide anymore, things will likely go wrong.

FamilyRe: Living With Parents At 37 by virginboy1(m): 8:20am On May 29, 2025
pansophist:
Your parents should adopt kids, thats the natural cure to this dilemma.

Children needs guidance, provisions and protection, and your parents needs their presence, and to see life through the eyes of children once again.

Also, the power dynamic between you and your parents have changed, unlike when you were a child. Right now, your parents have authority over you but without responsibilities, which is unfair to you.

For example, if they want to bath with hot water, prefer their eba extra soft, and maybe you have to clean their apartment, these are responsibilities on you, but you cant tell them what to do, or even scold them. You have no authority.

With children, your parents will have authorities and responsibilities, which is a balance. E.g, they kids do domestic work, and your parents wont feel lonely. But the trade off is that your parents have responsibilities towards the children.

I see that you have a good family that is united, and you care for your parents, this is very good, but consider what I said. Its an old practice that is solved by adopting kids, or men going into polygamy to birth more children.

Guys doing blue collar jobs - keke drivers, danfo drivers, cow butchers and goat butchers in local market all make reasonable money everyday but graduates are doing shitty jobs.
you have to be shameless in 3rd world countries to make a living.
Only few will get good paying jobs sitting in AC, drinking tea while pressing computer.
And guess what? those blue collar jobs adjust to inflation easily compared to white collar salary jobs that are always stagnant for years.
Reason why you always see civil servants/salary earners always going on strike for salary increment, holding rallies and blocking roads while the so called illiterates and semi-illiterates will look down on adjust their price to inflation - drivers will adjust lagos to ibadan transport fare tomorrow if price of fuel goes up unlike salary earners.
Tomatoes sellers, ogufe sellers etc will all adjust price.
it is up to you to drop your ego and hit the street.

I always loose money to virtual, there's this betkiing shop opposite my street, they do other businesses like POS transactions, anytime I go there to withdraw money, I'd end up playing virtual bets.

Lost 30k today, lost 22k on Wednesday...I've been loosing my hard earned money for 2yrs nw in that same betshop.

I'll be rounding up with NYSC next month, no single savings.... I'm tired, dunno how to stop.😩😩
Bro, I can really imagine the pain you're going through. Gambling addiction, like other addictions. Be it drugs, porn, or even excessive masturbation, is not something easy to overcome. But the fact that you’ve opened up about it here, despite knowing how toxic this forums can get sometimes, shows one thing clearly: you truly want to change. And that's the first major step.

First, understand this: gambling addiction is not just a habit. It’s a form of mental struggle, and it often needs more than just willpower. One of the most important things is to let go of the belief that you’ll strike it big one day. That mindset keeps many people trapped.

Avoiding the environment that triggers you is also crucial. If that bet shop is always pulling you in, consider switching to another POS location—even if it’s further away. It might seem small, but removing the temptation helps a lot.

You might also want to consider joining a support group—there are a few Nigerian-based communities online that focus on quitting gambling. A good place to start is following someone like @lobistars on Twitter. He organizes sessions where people share their strategies for quitting and staying clean.

Also, try to stay active—mentally and physically. Idle time is dangerous. Even something as simple as regular exercise or learning a skill online can help shift your focus.

You’re not alone in this. And you’re definitely not beyond help. Keep pushing, stay honest with yourself, and don’t be ashamed to seek help ,even professional help if you can afford it. You still have time to rebuild, especially now that NYSC is ending.

Wishing you strength and healing, bro. You can overcome this.

1. Putting others before my life...while others actually put their lives first.

2. If you live in a public yard, you must understand that your neighbours aren't your emergency family members.

3. Avoid taking things on credit from shops close to where you live.

4. You really do not owe anyone an explanation when you say NO to their requests.

5. Learn to speak not talk.

6. You are the most important person to you in this world. Remember that.

7. Don't let them kill you!

8. Learn when it's apt to walk away.

9. Set boundaries. Whether they call it pride or whatever, they will respect you.

10. Overthinking will only get you sick. Start doing whatever you can.

11. You really do not need to recruit others to hate someone you hate with you.

12. Some relationships should be valued by you than always trying to be right always.

13. Drink clean water always. Eat good food. Sleep when needed. It's your health. If you can ensure your car gets sealed engine oil and better fuel for efficiency, how much more your body?

14. You don't need to lie to refuse lending money to someone; a simple "I don't have" is accurate. You don't need to attach a reason..damn it's your money!!

And it is also very necessary to collect collateral or they put it in paper. If they refuse, it's ok to let them fck off. A lot of borrowers have no conscience.

15. Avoid too many friends. If possible, avoid it completely. When your are becoming more successful, too many friends and you are closer to your grave.

16. It's not everyone you should bring to your house. This is very important.

17. Refuse binge drinking or eating outside. It's a one-way ticket to hell.

18. Ensure you know how to respond to peer pressure bullies.

19. Buy what you can afford...everything depreciates..
