There are some courses I paid for to get serious with them, but I couldn't go along with them. Because I got other things at hand.

I pursued many things in 2023. Some paid; some were futile. But in the end, I just needed to settle down and pick a few.

Chasing many things at a time gears toward securing abundance and options - if plan A fails, there is plan B...there is plan c... But in the end, you waste a lot of time and energy.

To hold on to one thing amidst this darkness takes temerity and hard morale. You must have a clear vision of the future, a predictive ability top-notch + the ability to maneuver and rotate on one point.

I would have used that money to "flex my life". Lol.

At the end of 2023, I have no regret though. Because I engaged in all of my adventures. (If I hadn't purchased those courses, by now I would have been thinking of missing billionaires' chances).

Follow your guts, and you'll have little to no regrets. It doesn't guarantee success though, but you'll always learn a lesson and be glad you tried.

Living life with a series of regrets is not a good way of living. Test all waters: Drink, fish, sail, swim.

Thanks.

Addiction can lead to mental disorder which can be detrimental to ones wellbeing.

There are so many Nigerians that are addicted and they don't even know . Its one thing to be addicted and be aware and another thing to be addicted and be unware of it.

If you are a man in Nigeria and you are addicted to sex, drinking, gambling, smoking, drugs, porn ... omo you need serious intervention ooo shocked

You don't need to master anything as a beginner; just know that this can be done. You mustn't know the code.

For instance, if you're working with HTML and CSS and want to center a div, the important thing is to know that it's possible and the process has a specific name. These are the things you should master.

Knowing this brings you closer to your goal Next is to search for how to do it, and you will get thousands of examples.

You can't know everything because it keeps changing, so don't try.

Take JS seriously because once you learn JS, many other languages will be like modified JS. Knowing JS makes learning them pretty easy.
Grasp the basics of JS before jumping on any framework.

Bro, build projects or download people's projects, unbundle and modify them. Add and remove features etc. It helps more than any tutorial.

Tallesty1 senior man...being a while

Thanks for this, on Js...I know some vanilla Js concept...like GetelementbyID, query selector, the if and else if, writing an arrow function, alert, an object..... And the more I research I noticed it is wide...and feel like leaving coding for data analysis as I am very good in Ms Excel.

But thanks for this insight...I will act as being advised.

Kudos sir

Well, frontend is basically about Javascript because Javascript is the language of the browser.
You don't have to be very good in Javascript to make money, I always urge that people understand concepts instead of the syntax itself. This makes life easy for you.

I urge that after learning the basics of Javascript, dive straight into a Javascript library like angular, vue and react, this is where you now become marketable to companies. Do projects, don't be scared, do projects, this is the only way you can familiarize yourself with the concepts.

Yes, frontend is versed but you don't have to know everything. That's why we have huge community available to help you. For me, i learnt react.js, you must know react.js to work with many tech companies

Thank you for your taking out your time to explain.
I really appreciate you.

I guess one of the issue I had is trying to know all...instead of just focusing and mastering some basic concepts.

I will look for some online communities just as you have advised...Kudos

I'm not 25 yet but i will love to learn from those that are 25years and above.

what are the harshest things life has taught you at 25 and above?

always choose logic before emotions
to be manipulative, this i used in getting out in difficult situations... "use or be used".
to inherently vet people...know the kind of people to share personal things with.

some ideologies you hold dearly today may change tommorow...eg the kind of lifestyle you detest today may be what you fancy tomorrow.
Value yourself more...its only when you have value that you can ditch out value to others.

1. You are the only one that will save yourself. Life begins when you realise that no one is coming to save you.

2. Virtues are what makes you closer to the ideal man. The strong are virtuous, the weak are immoral.

3. Time is all you have. I am sure that you won't drink a magic pill that will transform you to a 95-year-old man, but a billionaire as a compensation.

4. Goodness is more valuable than beauty. A good friend, partner, brother, family is a representative of God in your life. Cherish them.

5. Observe animals, they will teach you a lot about yourself, they are your closest relative.

6. In any situation you find yourself, the only thing you have is the truth. Know the truth and it will set you free.

7. Develop some teeth, and make sure you can use them. One of the deepest pain you will feel is to allow injustice be done to you because you cant bite or even worse, have no teeth.

8. Discipline is hard, but regret is much worse. If you have more regrets than hope, then you have wasted your life.

9. The world is easy on those who are hard on themelves, and the world is hard to those who are easy on themselves. Choose one.

10. If you want to be instantly powerful, speak the truth eloquently.

11. Your enemies can only defeat you by renting the demons that live inside of you. E.g, the enemies used Delilah to kill Samson, only if he could have shut up and not reveal the source of his strength to her.

12. The world is populated by two kinds of people. The strong, and the weak. You can tell the difference by their input. Weak people want more, strong people give more. Avoid one of them. You can't save them.

13. You may not know this because you are young, but as you grow older, you will realize that it is easy to make money, but very VERY difficult to meet good people/partners, etc. If you find them, keep them, they are scarce.

14. Have your own mind. The ability to think for yourself, and not outsource it for someone to do it for you. Better to fail in your own intellectual path, than download from others.

15. Know the difference between tragedy and misfortune. Misfortune is like loosing your leg to an aciddent, while tragedy is fighing with your brother on how to share your fathers wealth on his deathbed. The former is an unfortunate scenario, while the latter puts humanity to shame.

16. Let honor be the centrality in anything you do. Be honorable.

17. As you grow older, you will struggle to be happy, and excited, and periodically feel lost. it is normal. Strive to be useful and responsible, that is the antedote.

18. Health, time and peace of mind. Nothing on earth you should sacrifice these three things for. They are all you got. Loose one of them, then I dont care how materially wealthy you are, life will be hell.

19. As far as you are doing the right thing, you must be comfortable being hated. being hated doesnt mean it is justified, but that your hater are users maybe? predators hate targets who can defend themselves.

20. Know thyself, and be your own worst critic, then work to overcome, and/or accept your shortcomings. Then you have shielded yourself from all the attack the enemy will throw.

Words of Wisdom.

I do wonder if na naija University you go or na Oxford...you too good. grin

This once sweet Nigeria...that was even nominated to be the happiest nation in the past, has now become a nation of melancholy and despair.

So many people are now mentally sick and they don't actually know.
Addiction
Depression
Drug Abuse
Substance abuse
Etc etc

Majority of this abnormalities are also induced by severe hardship.

May her so rest in peace
