Romance › Re: How Do People Make It In Nigeria?? by virginboy1(m): 5:18pm On Sep 07, 2024 |
pansophist: wealth is like maths. It has its own formula. Apply it to anything you do, be patient and consistent, and you'll be very okay.
In any business you do, make sure it's scalable, and not tied to your time. So don't be a barber, or a Uber driver. It's a dead end JoJob that can't scale.
Look at all the wealthy people, they are wealthy because they cover a huge population area. It's why Uber as a company is rich, but not a bus driver even if they are both transport companies. Uber is global, a bus driver is not.
So don't be a salary earner, And no dead end job/handwork (eg barber, painter etc).
Have a service or product that can scale. Then see how to sell it to more and more crowd. Doesn't matter what you sell. Cigar companies sell poison but are billion dollar companies.
So if you sell groundnut, or a software developer that can generate millions of downloads, then you'll be forking wealthy.
Where the work is, is in your consistency, managerial skill, and applying principles of business such as economy of scale, increasing your market share, strengthening your dominance, etc.
Of course this is an oversimplification of an extremely intense and complex business process and wealth creation. Hence few people are entrepreneurs. But it's rewarding, and if you want to lift all your families from poverty, it's the way to go.
It's a principle of "cause and effect". A tout chief that collects money from all commercial drivers in Lagos will be a billionaire in a month, compare to a pastor that has a small church where the members combined are not up to 2k usd in combined capita.
So if you can for example open a restaurant, then start having a new branch every three months for ten years straight, you'll be freaking wealthy. Chicken republic, dominos, kfc are all under this principles.
I repeat, being wealthy is not hard, it's if you understand the rules, and play to it. Dangote is a billionaire with this principles. He started small, now has lots of products from cement, to flour and sugar and all of Africa. So much sense in this |

krushdripper: When did women ever have interest in settling down?? And where is the law that says I must let myself be belittled, mocked or given hateful gestures by a woman because I think i should settle down? Call it forming, not wanting to seem easy, playing hard to get or whatever, it is a clear signal that they don't want to settle down, they just need a man to fund thier existence cos they're letting you stick your dick in them, which is why they switch up on you when you have issues with your financial stability so it's only normal that more men would continue to loose interest in settling down owing to the decietful, self serving nature of women. After that you can apply kerosene also. Wash your bed sheets and clothing very well. This method worked for me back then ooo |

Power point Google sheet Google Datastudio A typical day as an analyst. You are always starring at data to get sense of what you would do. Your boss is on you asking you to do comparative analysis between cohorts. Correlation was the order of the day. Jobs/Vacancies › Re: JOBLESSNESS - Giving Up On Tech - Whats Your Take This 2024 by virginboy1(m): 6:43pm On Aug 11, 2024 |
samuelson06: No wahala bro. I only wish the young man would take it and run with his life.
Usually, I plead with young men around me to exercise a little restrain, fix themselves, and from there, they can go build a family.
All of us would have loved to finish with childbearing before we get to 40 or 42. I would've loved to do that, at least that's what is obtainable in first world countries. Even before 35, many of them are done with childbearing—two or three kids and they done. Before 40, you see their body recovering and the females will appear like they've not given birth before.
But here we are in a country that our leaders don't care about us; nothing works here. The few gains we made as a country, they've destroyed everything as we speak. Today, the once giant of Africa stands like a begger. Nigeria is practically begging for survival. As young people, and we have to understand this sad reality and adjust accordingly.
I come from a humble background so I've tasted poverty. Poverty has a sour and bitter taste. Its color is black, and once it draws you to itself, your life practically becomes like the black color, a dark night, and a nightmare. The taste of your life becomes sour and bitter, and everyone tries to distant themselves from you—not because they truly hate you, but because you have nothing to offer—nothing to offer yourself, nor your children. There and then, it becomes clear to you that your life is a waste. But you had the chance not to get here
Sometimes, I don't teach people how to lead a good life. I sit with them and talk about poverty and the moment they make up their mind to reject that demon, they become motivated to work—putting everything else aside and just fight to defeat that monster.
Being a Nigerian, I know this country so well and I know it may never change—at least, not in this generation. So, I seize every opportunity to talk to young people about ways they can fix their life independent of the support they ought to get from the government. The task may be enormous but it's surmountable. It requires patience, hardwork, consistency, focus, and determination to succeed.
You'll be wasting your time if you keep jumping from one hustle to another. It shows that you are not serious or you may be too in a hurry to make it. Let's take the poster here for example, he's invested some amount of time, money, and other resources into becoming a frontend developer and he's on his way to becoming an expert in that field. Sadly, he now feels he's been wasting his time choosing a path that doesn't work and now feels like throwing away the experience and momentum he's been gathering in the coding sphere.
If that happens, he's going to start all over again elsewhere. Meanwhile, they are people succeeding where he's running away from and all he needed was to build on what he's known already and keep forging ahead. When it comes to success, you don't do magic. You just have to find a way and keep building up the momentum and with time, even nature will bear witness with your spirit that you've done your best and it's time for you to be announced to the world.
I can keep talking and talking. There's a formula to succeeding even in a rough country like Nigeria, but you have to be serious. It's not a game of luck but hard work—putting first things first, and not giving up.
I wish all of us the best in 2024. You are too smart |

Omoawoke: Got 3 professional certifications in 4 months. It was crazy . I saw some job openings with sweet offers that required some professional certifications, I started preparing for them and got them all in 4 months, days and nights of readings.
It is not only through dirty or illegal means you can make money, as they post dirty things, it’s okay for us to post encouraging things so people out there can see that professional jobs still pay.
Go and write pmp, cissp. Or go and write CFA or take Security plus certifications. You can get GRC certifications. Go to YouTube and stop watching porn alone, YouTube as mad resources to learn almost anything in this world from software development to cybersecurity to finance analyst etc Apply for jobs, there are remote jobs you can do and you will make money pass yahoo boys, and the money that will give you rest of mind
Modified: I didn’t expect to start getting dms from this post. I don’t usually respond to DMs. But it’s great that people are getting informed and having interests. One thing is that there are a lot of info out there, and resources to get this done all by yourself. It’s just one thing which is “The will” if you go on YouTube, Reddit even here on nairaland, there are threads of certifications like this. Like i said it’s just your determination and you can get them done, the other is funds. We know naira don crash so it affects a whole lot. But people spend up to 15k to 20k pounds migrating to Uk to start care jobs, while these certifications cost about 500 to 800 dollars each to get.
I think it worths it getting one or two or more. You can apply to remote jobs or even migrate with them to Canada or uk and still get jobs there. Even Australia takes this certifications. Best of luck Thanks alot for this ginger |
