The way news outlets are getting sued these days calls their professionalism and expertise into question.
I don't think so. The government is just trying to gag them.
That's all.

She ain't the prettiest, but she's loyal.

My Take: Just sentence structure; urs is 15 words...His is 7 words. I advocate keep it straight, short and simple.
This is my opinion and it is strictly personal.
Do you even have an opinion at all?

He could have captioned it this way:
She might not be the prettiest lady on earth, but she is indeed very loyal.
His choice of words probably caused the "backlash".

Buhari and his ineffective clowns are now jittery cos they are scared same may happen in Nigeria. What is this useless fight on corruption Garba Shehu laying claim to?
When will these clowns suddenly realise that empty talks are just so ineffective in getting things done?

Your state governments put together claim they've spent 1 trillion Naira on your roads.

I'm sure you agree they have.
What exactly is the duty of FERMA and the Federal Ministry of Works managed by Fashola? He left his job undone. Why then complain about the bills?
By the way, are you in essence saying the the cost would have been less if executed by the fee Fed gov themselves?

Definitely not the people of Kogi west who freely gave him their mandates.

It is not just enough issuing directives asking state governors to back off Fed gov roads. Fashola and his moribund ministry must show commitment at maintaining bad portions of the highways.
The Warri/Benin expressway was reportedly impassable for close to two months. At a time, vehicles coming from Benin to Warri or Portharcourt had to make the long Israelite journey of plying thru Asaba. A journey that would normally take less than an hour lingered on for six or more hours. Long articulated vehicles stayed in the queue, some for over a week. Many collapsed while trying to squeeze a way past.
That was the scenario. No response from the Fed gov.
It took the state government intervention to ensure that one of the lanes was repaired. Right now, work is being done on the second lane.
A gov led by Buhari and Fashola is announcing to the world that if governors are warning up to collect compensations, the should steer clear.
Today, the Enugu/ ONITSHA road is almost unmotorable. Same with the Benin/Abuja highway. Fed gov is not responding to calls to get those roads fixed. But is calling on governors to repair them freely using money from the state purse, or leave them there, watching the citizens languish in pains.
Would any state government even attempt to repair Fed gov roads if we have a responsive and proactive Fed gov?

Good. Those guys are thoughtless extremists. I like what Russia is doing to them. Let them feel the pain they have been inflicting on others.

They like tearing families apart and ostracizing people who leave their church while their leaders engage in abuse of power and other sexual malfeasance.

Now feel it!!!
I see your pains, bro.

I know wen dis case started in 2017, I wasn't in support of the Russian state for labelling JW extremists, but now I see they reason. Those guys re extremists.
How can someone choose to die instead of receiving blood to live. It takes an extremist to do dat.
Where I work, one JW lady can never participate in d prayers. If others re standing, she'll be sifted. U can nva hear her sing d conventional Christian songs, but d moment she hears u sing any worldly music, she'll chorus along
Have you ever cared to ask her why she behaved differently?

Sowore should get good lawyers to defend him.

The Federal Government have all the cards to send him to long term jail. He shot her myself in the leg and he must feel the pains.

He thinks the FG is OAU, They will help him waste the remaining 40years left for him to exist on Earth.

Nnamadi Kanu should come to Nigeria and demand for his release. Oh! I forgot,he also has forgotten his brothers in prison

It is quite unfortunate that after ballots were casted in Nigeria, we must nervously wait for the courts to validate a victory.
It is not as if we don't know what to do to engender an election which would be acceptable to all. Bubu was given an electoral bill which would ensure that all these hullabaloo are eliminated. But he refused to sign it because he knew he would never win in a free and fair exercise.
ELECTRONIC voting is the way to go. If we can't implement democracy, let's just scrap it. enough of the pretence.

If I ever play bet9ja virtual again as from this moment today wednesday 18 sept 2019, may you punish me severely, may it never be well with me, may anything i lay my hands on never prosper.

I know this is a risk am ready to bear the consequences.

Nairaland are my witness, God is my witness, this is a covenant I have set as from today.

I would have added booking betting but I am not working at the moment. I just blew 80 thousand naira on virtual.

My girlfriend just dump me 2hrs ago. She tell me say she no fit get mumu as boyfriend.

Chai bet9ja virtual what have you done to me?
I have worked in a bet9ja shop before. I have also played a couple of virtual games too. there was a day I used money equivalent of my monthly salary to play alalo.
I was used to the wailing and moaning losers often cry and how they swore they won't play that stuff. but you know what, they are back the next day.
it is not about making promises, but most importantly, the need to fight the addiction.
If only government could ban virtual games, all would be glad. it is a fraud.
I have never seen anyone who bought a car from earnings made in virtual games, have you?

Been curious for some time regarding the accurate meaning of the abbreviation, op, commonly used to name the poster of articles.

so I visited Google. it presented me with lots of options, but none fits into the context it is being used here. it directed me to the online forum, reddit.

So ladies and gentlemen, for the first time, I have come to realise that op as used in this forum stands for ORIGINAL POSTER.

I have to post this here because I am certain we still have many like me who were curious but haven't cared to check it out.
